From what I remember, once the quick connect is attached and in place, there is a small on/off lever that is black on side of the quick connect, you will need to turn it parallel to the supply line. Hope this helps. Cindy

We purchased the Venetian Cotton sheets from ABLifestyles.net They have custom sheets for Oliver that have the radius for the corners. They have different sheets types (cotton, Venetian cotton, etc). They come in a set of 2. Another thing I love about the sheets is that the top flat sheet also has elastic on the bottom in to keep it from pulling out. I love the feel of the ones we purchased. I was also lucky enough to purchase a brand new unopened set of mattress pads from someone on the forum who had ordered a new trailer and bought them. However they found a used trailer they purchased instead that didn't have mattresses so they sold the pads to me. I got a great deal on them 🙂 Cindy

Where did you find the corner drainer? I've not seen one like this. I have a full sink roll up drain similar to this at home. Looking for something small for the Ollie. Thanks, Cindy

New Owners from SC Joining the Oliver Family

Congratulations! We picked up hull 743 in mid-February so they are really cranking them out now to be up to hull 870 in just 6 months! You will love your new Oliver and pick up time will be here before you know it. Happy adventuring in the years to come. Cindy -
We also went with the twin Southern Mattresses. We did not get the cushions for the bed area we just paid to upgrade the dinette only to the upgraded upholstery. Still saved us about $400 plus even after shipping and paying to upgrade upholstery. We also purchased sheets & mattress pads from AB Lifestyles. Cindy

Congratulations! Oliver is a great product. We picked up mid-Feb of 2021 and are 743. That's crazy they will have produced another 300+ units in 12.5 months. You will find many happy here to share their knowledge, opinions & suggestions. Cindy

Congratulations! Something similar happened to us. We ordered the last week of August and our original delivery date was mid-May 2021. When we paid our deposit our sales rep sent a message saying that they had an early February delivery date come open if we would like to move up so we jumped on it. It was less torture waiting only 5 1/2 months for delivery instead of almost 9 months. Those months went by quickly with all the reading, watching videos and asking questions here. We weren't new to RVs but did downsize from a 42' 5th wheel with 5 slides to an Oliver LE2. It's funny but inside the trailer we have empty drawers and cabinets! The things that were in outside storage compartments on the 5th wheel are now under a Leer Topper on our truck with a bedslide. It all still works and we are really enjoying the ease of pulling and parking the smaller trailer. Again congrats! Cindy

What type of fridge/freezer do you have in your truck? We've talked about getting one for longer trips but geez they are expensive! You can buy a full size regular home fridge for what some of them cost. Thanks for your input. Cindy

I read Where the Crawdads Sing and enjoyed that book. I like to read at bedtime. During the day at work and on my drive to and from I like to listen to Audiobooks. I download mine the the digital library for free using the Libby app. I also read/listen to a lot of James Patterson, John Grisham and if you haven't seen the movie Woman in the Window you might enjoy listening to that audiobook. Cindy

I have been enjoying just about anything from David Baldicci or Sandra Brown. I just discovered both of these authors. For our trip to Hohenwald we listened to It’s a Long Story by Willie Nelson which we both enjoyed very much. I also love historical fiction so lots of different authors I like in that genre. Cindy

Could you share links for the products and correct sizes that you ended up using? Thanks! Cindy

We do have the easy start but we have only run the A/C while hooked to shore power. Does it still use the easy start then or only when on generator or invertor?

We also cook/eat just like we do when we are at home. I shop from my fridge/freezer/pantry then buy the things we need before travel. I normally make a menu for each day and make sure I have everything needed for each meal. I try not to take large bottles/bags of things. I'll put smaller amounts in ziplock bags and store flat. We're big on fresh fruits and veggies. Very rarely do we used canned. I usually take a few types of cheese, salami, fruit, nuts, etc for a charcuterie board. I also pre-make brown rice or seasoned rice and store flat in ziplocks for stirfry or as a side. I also freeze leftovers of homemade soup in flat bags and take a couple of those to use. When I cook breakfast the first day I usually cook bacon/sausage for the week just leaving it a little undercooked so that it can be rewarmed on other days to go with pancakes, used to make breakfast burritos, have a BLT sandwich, add to salads, etc. That way the greasy cooking is out of the way. We use a Blackstone Adventure grill which we can cook nearly anything on. Breakfast, grilled sandwiches, toasts, hibachi, grilled meats, add an iron skillet on top for gravy, cherries jubilee, chili cheese dip, etc. Then the only dishes I have to wash are utensils. We used it at home and with our other RV for 2 years before getting the Oliver. Lots of great ideas from others! Love to hear what everyone does that maybe I hadn't thought about before. Cindy

Welcome to the group! We are new Oliver owners as of February. We owned a SOB 42' 5th wheel that we downsized from. The Oliver is so much better constructed. It is small but efficient. There is a place for everything. The forum is a wealth of knowledge with the owners ready to share information and offer help. The owner's section is also full of information with videos and more. Good morning! We have a 2021 LE2 #743 that we picked up mid-February. Our first few trips we had no need for the A/C. We did turn it on after pick up to make sure it came on and cooled but didn't really run it for any amount of time with it being winter with snow on the ground in Tennessee. Our past few trips when we have used it overnight and some during the day it short cycles (that's the term my husband used). The fan comes on runs 5 or so minutes then cuts off. Five or so minutes later it does the same thing. About every 4th time the compressor will kick on for a few minutes and then right back off. It cools fine however it is impossible to sleep with the constant on and off cycling. Friends that we camped with this past weekend even asked us what was up with the constant cycling of the A/C. We were hooked up to shore power every time we have used the A/C. Anyone have any ideas? It's the Dometic 11k A/C unit and is brand new. Guess we'll start a ticket with service unless someone here has ideas on what could be wrong. Thanks, Cindy

Congratulations on your new Ollie! Without having to order you will get in an extra season of camping that you would have missed out on. Wishing you many happy adventures in the years to come. Cindy

Congratulations on your purchase! You will not be disappointed. We also downsized from a 42' 5th wheel for the exact same reasons. Looking forward to a lot of traveling once we are both retired. Cindy

Welcome from fellow Texans! We drove over to Rice and looked at the Casitas but the carpet on the walls was a hard no for me. Discovered Oliver online while looking to downsize from a 42' 5th to something smaller to travel after retirement. We took a trip to Tennessee for a factory tour and we were sold! There are a good many Olivers in Texas now and I'm sure someone close would be happy to show off their trailer. We have a 2021 LE2 that we picked up in February with the twin bed floor plan. We are just south of DFW area if you are anywhere close to us otherwise Oliver can put you in touch with someone. Lots of helpful folks here on the forum who are more than happy to answer questions and offer their opinions. We learned a lot while waiting on ours to be built. Cindy

Congratulations! Hope to see you out on the road sometime. We're another Texas Ollie #743. Cindy
