  1. Congratulations! Texas is getting a lot of new Oliver owners including us this past February. We are loving our Oliver and will be glad when I can retire and travel more. Cindy
  2. In the new delivery area they had a couple of rows of items when we picked up. Things like hoses, connections, levelers, solar suitcases, insect screens and more. I think they are planning to add additional items such as the firepit and other camping options. They had a tire pressure monitor system they were testing while we were there but said it wasn't going to work for them. P.S. We also have the Outlander Firepit and absolutely love not having to carry/purchase local firewood, smell like smoke on our clothes or in the trailer and being able to turn off the fire and go in without worrying about it smoldering or dousing it with water. Also a lot of parks don't allow fires when the weather is dry but will allow a fire bowl. Cindy
  3. Most wineries have small plate items as cheese & meat plates, chips/dips, mini-app type foods. Others have full on menus available. I don't think I've ever been to a winery that didn't have a gift shop area with all types of things available from t-shirts to Christmas ornaments. We've only stayed at one place so far on our way home from picking up our Ollie but it was the Melrose Plantation in Melrose, LA. It was a very nice area and we did a guided tour the next morning. We had reservations this past weekend to take our 9 year old granddaughter to a nearby Alpaca Farm but we've received 5.75" of rain over the last week and it rained all weekend so we ended up canceling. We are hoping to reschedule for this coming weekend. Just keep in mind when adding the golf option that some (not all) courses require you to play a round of golf. Others allow you to shop in the club house, use the spa services or have dinner. We did purchase the package and hope to use it in the coming months. Harvest Host recommends that you spend $20 minimum in return for your stay. We pick hosts that we are interested in anyway and that we would tour whether we were traveling or not. HH is intended to be a overnight stop on your way to your destination... not the actual destination. You can also join the HH Members, Advice & Reviews FB page where folks post photos and reviews of their stays to get an idea of what's available before you join. Cindy
  4. On our 2021 we ordered the Lithionics batteries (3) with the internal heating system, the bluetooth connection for monitoring. We got the Lithium Pro Pkg (only one offered when we purchased) that has the 3000w inverter. We purchased the soft-start for the air conditioner. We haven't camped off grid except 1 night so far (only picked up 02.22.21) since I still work full time. We are planning a 2 week trip to Utah in September and hope to boondock the majority of the time. It may be overkill for now but upon retirement it will get plenty of use. Cindy
  5. Congratulations on your new Ollie! You started with the best.
  6. Sheri, My suggestion would be to put it on the FB group "Oliver Travel Trailers for Sale" (FREE!) and post as many photos as you can. When we sold our 5th Wheel I listed it on FB Marketplace (FREE!) and Craig's List ($5) with plenty of photos. It sold quickly. The Olivers that have been listed on the FB group above have all sold quickly as well. I know you find it annoying to have to provide pictures, but think of it from the other persons point of view... if you were looking to purchase a nearly new RV and being asked to make a deposit sight unseen you would want to see pictures from every point of view, every nook and cranny, underneath, closets, close-ups, etc. I probably posted 50+ photos when we were selling ours and provided any photo requested that I might not have thought to take. Include photo of your bill of sale showing all the options. Others with photos have sold within days to a week or so. I think you are doing yourself a disservice by not posting actual photos of your trailer or emailing photos when requested. If nothing else, create a shareable photo album in the cloud and reply with a link to it so that they can look through all the pictures. Tell people in your add why you are selling after just purchasing. The more information you are willing to spell out, post pictures of and talk up the RV the better your chances will be to sell it quickly. Those are my ideas... hope they help. Cindy
  7. Welcome from fellow Texans! We're in the DFW area and have only been Ollie owners since 02.22.21. We definitely have plenty of Olivers in Texas for a mini-rally. Glad that you were able to get a wonderful pre-owned unit without having to wait on production. Enjoy your trip! Cindy
  8. That would be awesome! We've paid our deposit and are looking forward to mid-year to 3rd quarter having it available. We need it at home as we cannot get service where we live and use our unlimited data on our phones now.
  9. Welcome from Texas! We're new Oliver owners having picked ours up 2 months ago today. Look forward to seeing your photos on the forum. Cindy
  10. Hobo, The Mighty 5 National Parks - Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef & Zion National Parks. We want to do Mesa Verde & Durango/Silverton Railway on the trip up thru Colorado and then do Horseshoe Bend & Antelope Canyon (if reopened) on the way back to Texas. It will be a whirlwind tour but will get some hiking, viewing, biking and boondocking in along the way. Cindy
  11. Welcome! Sounds like you have lots of adventures planned in the near future. Congrats on your Oliver purchase.
  12. Welcome & congratulations! We are new Oliver owners as well. We picked ours up on 02.22 and also downsized - previously towed a 42' 5th wheel with 5 slides - for the same reasons you listed. It is taking a bit of getting used to but we LOVE the trailer! August will be here before you know it 🙂 Cindy
  13. We have also decided to cancel the trip and hope for an actual Oliver Rally next year. Since I'm still working my vacation time is limited and we have decided to do a 2 week trip to the Mighty 5 in Utah from central Texas and do some real boondocking for the first time. Hopefully by 2022 everything will be as close to normal as possible and we can plan on being there and learning lots of stuff from other owners, vendors and the Oliver company. I hope everyone enjoys their trip to Alabama!
  14. Congratulations! Beautiful sunset. Enjoy your travels!
  15. We can't compare as we chose Southern Mattress. We have been very happy with them so far. There is a "hard" side and a "softer" side but both must be one or the other because of the curve. We currently use the "hard" side and have had a very good nights sleep each night. Cindy
  16. Yes, the floors are shiny! Both times we visited there was a lady polishing the floors! The showroom is spotless. Cindy
  17. I’m pretty sure the 2021 Grard awnings do not have a place to attach poles. I do not remember that on ours we just picked up. Here are a couple of photos of a showroom model if you zoom in you can see the underneath. Cindy
  18. We have the 2021 Grard awnings with wind sensor. We were told that they retract at 18-20 mph. Not sure if that helps or not. We do not plan to leave ours out unless we are there and probably never overnight. Cindy
  19. We have signed up and paid the deposit. It is supposed to be available in our area mid-to-late year and only to a limited number of households. You are tied to a "cell" and it will only work in that area. We cannot get a decent provider for where we live. We have to have satellite internet and Hughes net and others constantly buffer. We finally gave up after trying 3-4 different provides and have just used our cell phone data for the last year but after a certain amount they throttle it. Hoping that Starlink will blow away everything available to us now. I believe in the future they plan to have a mobile option available but it will probably require different equipment and more money 🙂 Cindy
  20. Howdy from a fellow Texan! We're up near Ft Worth but love the Hill Country. Hope to meet you on the road someday. A few of us Texans have been discussing the possibility of a fall meetup possible in the Hill Country. Cindy
  21. Josh White was our salesman. When we visited the factory back in August he was the new guy and had only been there a few months. He conducted our tour and answered all of our questions. We corresponded by email and phone throughout the ordering process and through to pick up. If he didn't know the answer he told us so and that he would need to talk to Rodney to find out. He was quick to respond to emails and return our phone calls. I'm sure all of the "sales" persons are great. They don't have to do much "sales" at all as the trailer sells itself. They are not pushy. They don't bug you or call you unless you have requested it. Josh was quick to point out not everyone needs all the features, it depends on the type of camping that you do. Cindy
  22. Enjoy your first camping trip! Please post a review and pictures of the HH location either here in the Boondocking thread or in the Oliver Trailer Owners Facebook group. We also live in north central Texas so I’m curious where you’ll be staying. We did our first HH at a plantation in Louisiana on our return trip from picking up our Oliver.
  23. Bill, It was a great trip! We stopped in Little Rock on the way out and there was still tons of snow on the ground. Highways were good but side streets were icy and dangerous at points. After leaving LR heading to Hohenwald it was super foggy and you couldn't see more than 2 car lengths in front at times. DCSP was beautiful and I wouldn't mind going back there when we have more time. There was still snow on the ground there as well. Next we headed to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, AL to visit friends for a couple of days where I got to put my toes in the sand and surf - that was heaven after the last few week's weather in TX. Again through Mobile it was really foggy. We stopped there to let a potential buyer have a tour of the new Ollie. He warned us early about the fog. Finally we stopped in Melrose, LA on the way home at the plantation. I think my husband really enjoyed just pulling in and pulling out without having to hook up, block or anything else. We will definitely look for opportunities to boondock in the future. Cindy
  24. We had our first boondocking experience this past Friday when returning to Texas from picking up our Oliver. It was a short overnight stop through Harvest Hosts (our first time using them) at Melrose Plantation in Melrose, LA. Just parked in their parking lot and the next morning after breakfast we took a tour of the plantation before heading home. It was a fun stop with lots of history. And look at the size of the 150 year old trees with resurrection fern growing on them.
  25. Got these at Kohl’s but also available on Amazon. They are silicon and stick to the inside of the trailer without any adhesive and are moveable. The brand is Tooletries and they are a little pricey but well worth it This one is called the Harvey. They work great. I forgot to remove the razor before travel. When we arrived 6.5 hours later the pillows had bounced in the floor but the razor was still firmly in place! We also got the soap holder called The Benjamin. All of them have drainage holes in the bottom and can be removed to clean if needed then reapplied.
