Annie, At the top of the forum page, click on the "see an Ollie" section, who knows, there may be one close to where you live. We had no such luck when we were looking, so we made the trip to the factory, and seen the build process, from the ground up. And glad we did. Stan

That's a good idea using the quick connects for the water hose. I always seem to struggle with the hose, to get it tight enough so it doesn't leak, then I need a slip joint pliers to get it off, and I don't like doing that. Stan

We put the EZ Flex on our trailer yesterday. Had a friend, I work with, come over to help. He has a fully equipped welder truck and a boatload of tools, so with the air tools it made the job really easy. His air hammer popped those bolts and old bushings right out. We were all done in about 2 hours. The old bushings were shot, you wonder why they even make a product with plastic bushings that you can't grease, and has a very short life span. Stan

Marc, We did not get the granite either, but wish we had the option of just getting the sink/stove area in the granite top. Is that the only area you are getting redone? I was thinking about putting a thin tile in so you could put a hot pan down without a hot pad.

Randy, Not sure I will do it myself, neither my floor jack and bottle jack are up to the task. May just take it down the road to my regular mechanic. Yeah, I need to repack the bearings. Stan

I am planning to order the hush kit for our trailer, it appears it does make a difference. We are going to a egg rally by Manhattan KS. next month, and a lot of the Casita people have been installing the hush kits. Will be interesting to see if any are there and check the noise difference. But first things first, I have a Dexter Suspension Kit on order and it's supposed to be here on Tuesday. Will need to get that installed first. Stan

Marc, We have the same thermostat, and it does not light up either. Guess I never thought it was supposed too. Stan

For jack blocks, I took 4 12" pieces of 6x6s, cleaned em up, and put some brown stain on with some fiber straps, and they work and don't look too bad either. I also carry a couple pieces of 2x6s, along with 2 4x4s for tire blocking. I like to minimize the amount I have to lower the jacks down. All stuff I had on hand. Stan

We do not have one yet, but it's on the list. We did have a tire failure, that I'm sure we could have saved the tire if we had advance warning of the pressure going down. We had picked up a sharp sliver of metal on the road and by the time we were aware of a problem, the tire was totally shot. No, there was no damage to the trailer and the trailer pulled straight with that damaged tire. Our Durango has a built in TPMS and I keep a close eye on my tire pressure. Stan

The bathroom drain valve, should it be in or out when you drain the gray tank. I have been leaving it open (out) and when I drain the gray tank it really smells up the bathroom. It seems to me back when, we had it closed and somehow that prevented the tank from draining. Stan

Nice job on the pictures. We need to order that kit as soon as we get back from our trip to Florida. We have about 15,000 miles and are getting some creaking, so it's time for the replacement. May have to get it done, since my floor jack is about wore out and not sure it would lift it. Stan

John, which one of those temp gauges did you get, all different price ranges. Stan

Last Feb we spent 2 weeks in Florida, including some time in Everglades National Park. We are looking to make another trip this winter, but have nothing planned yet. Last year we waited till after Jan 1st and did ok with getting campsites, but not without some "stressing". Good trip but too much driving for the amount of time we had. Will keep you in mind when we start planning this years trip. Actually we are in Florida as we speak, camped at Manatee Hammock Camp Grounds. It's a county park on Rt 1 just south of the entrance to the Space Center. We are setup to watch a rocket launch on Thursday morning with our grandson. Should be fun. Stan

It's July 11 so that would make it our anniversary, yeah, 53 years, all good of course. So, what do we do to make it special, yeah, bale hay, oh well it was only 90 degrees today and hot. It's always hot when you are putting up hay. And we only had 125 bales, so not to bad. All our horses died of old age, and we traded horse back riding for Oliver camping. Called moving on to the next station in life. Now we are still stuck with one old cow that may just live forever. We should be putting her in the freezer and leave the hay in the field. Oh well, such is life. Oh and the hay baler is a Oliver too. It has up to today been a royal pain in the neck, keeping the knotter working, but today it was perfect, every single bale was tied perfect. Could it be the Oliver parked next to the house is shedding some of it's karma on the old Oliver baler? We sure hope so. Now with the hay in the barn, we can now start packing up the good Oliver for a trip with the Grandson to Cape Canerval for a rocket launch. Let the fun begin. Stan

Steve, That's what we call having a " D.S. attack". And I think you know what D S stands for. : ) We have all had them, and I have had more then my share. They really did a great job on the repair. That air scoop on your side window, is that for getting air in the trailer when you're on the road? Stan

John, I always wonder what's in that stuff to get those kind of results. I notices reading the reviews, most guys were using it in diesel engines, would it have the same results in a gas engine? I have a Durango with 5.7 Hemi. Stan

If a campground only has 20 amp service how would that affect what I could run. Would that eliminate the A/C? Stan

Scotty, I am no expert on the solar, and we have the AGM batteries, and we use the % gauge to tell how much power is remaining. I'm sure you will get some expert opinions on the subject. Stan

We had plans take our grandson to Wallops Island Space center for a launch on July 6, but since the launch was postponed till sometime in August, we are going to plan B. Plan B is a trip to Cape Canaveral for a launch on July 28, tour the space center, watch the launch, and visit Disneyworld. Our plan is to pick him up in Troutville, VA and spend our first night at Hunting Island State Park SC then head to Manatee Hammock Campground for our stay in FL. Any ideas or experience with those two campgrounds? Anyone been to the Space Center, I may be more excited to see that then Dyson. Stan

Nice truck Mike. We have the Dodge Durango with the same 5.7 Hemi engine. We just got back from a trip to southern Utah and our overall mpg was about 13.5, which I was very happy with. That's the best we had so far, up to this point we were getting about 12 mpg. We too have the 8 speed trany and when I am on cruise and come to a upgrade, I just click off the cruise and let the speed drop off a bit rather then having it shift down 2-3 or 4 gears and running the rpm's way up there. The down side...headlight bulbs cost $300. bucks if you get them at the dealer. YIKES. Of course we were out of the warranty period, but they did give us their cost, (-77.00) then charged us 30 bucks to put it in. Bulbs should not burn out in a year and half. Did fine one online for $118. Still, what the heck. But, I do like the DD. Stan

We talked about having truck tires on the trailer, last year when we were at the factory, and I think it was Dustin, that stated the Oliver's wanted the best, and that was a heavy duty truck tire. I am no expert on tires, but I can't believe with that size tire there would be a problem with "popping a bead" on turns. Look at some of the wimpy tire you see on campers around camp grounds and I will gladly be happy with what I have on my Oliver. There is a endless tire discussion on the Airstream forum regarding tires and trading tires off new trailers for something better. Stan
