I put a extension on our pipe, can't remember if it was 12 or 15 inches, picked it up at Camping World. Without that extension it's a real pain to hook up, and if you don't get it on quite right, NOT GOOD. Probably best to just keep it hooked up. Stan

John, Your review came just in time. I have been researching TPMS this week and it can be very confusing, prices range from $50. to $350. , direct or indirect, inside the tire or on the valve stem. Geez, what's a person to do? My Durango came with the in tire style and I like seeing the pounds in each tire, it would be nice to see the temps also. So, now it's time to get a set for the trailer. I would have saved a tire 2 years ago when I picked up a sliver of steel and ruined the tire before I realized I had a flat. Anyone else out there with their favorite brand for comparison? Stan

When we were at Monument Lake, in Big Cyprus this winter, this "big rig camper" was there for a couple of days. Unfortunately I did not get to talk to the owner, but I sure did like his camper. Although it was not weird or strange, but maybe one of a kind, and for sure not lacking for power. Ok, why did that picture load upside down????

SG, Seeing you live in N.C., you have mountains in the west and ocean in the east. We just moved here last July from KC area, so most of our traveling has been west in the mountains. Rocky Mountain National Park is great in late September, with the elk in rut, the leaves changing, the weather nice, hard to beat. We did a trip down to Big Bend, TX in Feb., so that may be nice in Nov. Now that we live in VA. we have a lot of territory to explore here on the east coast. More beach time, for sure, back to Assataugue this summer. I'm sure you will get a lot of neat places to try. Have fun Stan

Carol and I are registered for the rally, both at the campground and with Oliver. We are arriving May 3 and departing May 7 in site G25. We were not sure if we could make it, but things are working out. Stan

I used the jack to change a tire and I also use the jacks to level the trailer at the campsites. Why are they there if you cannot use them. Also there's a 2x5 inch aluminum frame that should be the logical place for a jack. Stan

No, but we did pass one going eastbound on Hwy 41 as we were heading to Everglades City. We did have a Casida close by for a couple of days. Stan

We just spent 10 days in Monument Lake Campground on Hwy 41 on north side of the Everglades. It's a Federal campground, so your Gezzer pass is good. There are no electric or water hookups, so there always seems to be openings. Plus there is a big AT&T tower real close, so cell service is good. We had originally split our time between Monument and Midway Campground. Midway had electric hookups and paved roads, and is always booked up. We decided to trade the good cell service for electric service, because "solar rocks". The camp hosts were a interesting couple, they were from Maine, and have been hosting there for 10 years. Stan

Maybe I'm beating a dead horse here, since I brought this up a few years ago. I would like to see a option where you could add your city and or state under your name. Often times based on a persons post, it's nice to know where they are from, it may put their post in prospective. Most forums have this option.

Sherry, We have the round outside roof mounted antenna, that Oliver installed. Last week when we were down in Monument Lake, sometimes we could pickup NBC and CBS out of Miami, some of the time. We have a Google chrome cast cable that attaches to the HDMI port, and get into our daughter's Netflix account. You also need a hotspot on your smart phone. Stan

We keep ours in the closet, don't know why we even take them along. I had to remove the one "thingy" on the floor, so we could fit the dirty clothes container under the bed. We never used the table, as a table, anyway. Stan

It's been cooler then I expected for being this far south. We spend some time at Gambles Rodgers S.P. at Flagler Beach, and it was windy, cloudy and cold. And that was the start of our issues. We got a parking ticket ($35.00) because we parked where the guy from the restaurant told us to park. Then we got our dates mixed up and left a day early, so we got down here a day early, but there were a lot of spaces open, even the one we reserved. Seen a couple of gators along the edge of the lake, but Gunner never even seen them. Next morning we head to the Visitors Center, and on the way back had a flat tire on the Durango. Shoot, you need the instructions to find the jack and tools and get the spare tire out. After the car fell off the jack, we got the spare on and finally got back on the road. Now it's 40 miles to nearest tire place to get it fixed. Go to Goodyear, wait for an hour only to have them say tire unfixable due to nail was too close to sidewall. Now they say only tire available for our car is Michlin at $280. and needs to be ordered. What the heck, this is a Goodyear store. Next stop is the dreaded Walmart. We were able to order a Hancook, same as what's on the car, but of course it will be 2-4 days to get it. I bought a $7.00 plug kit and plugged the tire just so I would have a spare in the car till I get the new tire. Carol is kind of "freakin' out" but we are doing ok, lots of birds, gators, but have not seen a panther yet. Sunday we move down the road 10 miles where we even have full hookups and showers. What a life. Beats shoveling snow. Stan

We are camped in Monument Lake Campground at Big Cypress National Preserve, and were traveling EB and spotted a Oliver Heading WB this morning (1/30). Just wondering who it was. Stan

Welcome Paul and Donna, looks like you are just "up the road a piece". We spent some time at Loft Mountain Campground last fall which was just a start on exploring what the mountains of VA has to offer. Hope to meet up with you guys sometime. Stan

Tahiles, Welcome from the Burgs of VA. and congrats on your new Oliver. Where in VA do you live? We just moved here in July and there a couple of other Ollie owners here in Va, so we need to get together sometime in the near future. If you are coming up I81, give us a holler as long as it's before next Wed. On Wed we are leaving for about 3 weeks in Florida, our old bodies are in need of some warm weather. On your questions on what to bring, start by making a master check list with a block to check off that item when it's loaded in the trailer. It will change every trip as your figure out what to take and what to leave at home. Of course there will still be times when you get a mile from home and have to turn around because you forgot something. I hate when that happens, and it's NEVER something I forgot. : ) Stan

Rdunlap6, Welcome to the Forum, we need some more info then that one liner. Do you have a trailer,RV or maybe just a tent. All is good, and if you are coming on the Oliver forum, we are hoping a Oliver is in your future. I see you are from Virginia, so that's good, but where about? "How big is the rear storage compartment?" Not big enough, or maybe I should say, not user friendly enough. It's hard to get things all the way in the back, but it is what it is, and we deal with it. Stan

We don't even have the Oliver rack, back in 2014 when we ordered our Oliver, I asked about a bike rack and their reply was, there is none and we don't plan to have one. So I guess all the requests by buyers had a effect on their change of attitude. Guess I need some good close up pictures to get one made. Stan

Don, How does that rack attach to the trailer? I think you changed what you originally had, and that wasn't very stable. We are considering getting some bikes, but that rack is kind of pricey. Are you going any where this winter? We have a trip planned to Florida towards the end of January. Stay warm and Happy New Year. Stan
