Would never tow Ollie on the highway with our 2003 4 cylinder Tacoma, but it helps the Tacoma’s confidence moving Ollie around home. It has 0” sag with it’s airbags inflated to 30 psi. When towing Ollie with our 1/2 ton 2022 Tundra, the Timbren rear suspension enhancement system helps our Tundra handle Ollie nicely without ever exceeding any of the Tundra’s capacities. Have to admit we are minimalist how we load & camp. I understand why folks here like 3/4 & 1 ton tow vehicles for Ollie towing duty. For our style of camping a 1/2 ton TV with suspension enhancement works fine towing our LE2.

Really like air bags on a tow vehicle. Had air bags on our previous 2016 Tundra and currently on our 2003 Tacoma for smaller trailers. Made the Tundra/Ollie rig handle with more stability. Installed Timbren suspension enhancement system on our 2022 Tundra, but still prefer air bags for towing Ollie.

When I installed the EZ Flex system on our Ollie, the plastic bushings were destroyed after the original owner towed Ollie 6000 miles. The wet pins are an improvement, but agree, it could be a better system. Decided to find the easiest way to grease & maintain the EZ Flex system we have. Here’s the Dexter spring wet pin and bronze bushing used in the EZ Flex system. The bronze bushing wall thickness is .07”, have to admit I damaged one or two 😬during installation because bronze is much softer than steel. Glad I purchased extra bronze bushings. Helped a friend install wet pins and bronze bushings on his Legacy Elite.

Saw this thread today, had Ollie at home today taking care of some minor maintenance before the next trip, decided to grease Ollie, too. Took about 15 to minutes to grease all of the EZ Flex fittings. Started using an AirTec Lube-Shuttle pistol grip grease system a few years ago on Ollie and other equipment. It's pricey as far as grease gun & grease is concerned, like the cartridge system. The G200EP grease meets Dexter's NLGI2 specs. Here's what I'm learning on the Tundra Forum for 2022 & 2023 Tundras. This feature is available if you have the 12.3 digital dash and our SR5 does not. Like @Tom and Doreenand @Rivernerdsaid, a Scan Gauge will work for those that do not have the 12.3 digital dash. With the OBD readers you can view on the Iphone, going to check out different units that's available, too. Check video at about 1:40:

Good find! Page 91 in my 2022 manual states same thing, Pitch and roll screen has been there since new, probably a default setting.

Our 2015 LE2 # 75 original spare tire is a 215/60R/16. It has a maximum weight capacity of 1521 pounds. After purchasing Ollie used in 2016, removed the spare tire cover finding the smaller tire size. Started asking about it and learned what Steve mentioned earlier in this thread. We keep Ollie’s ready to camp weight slightly lower than 5000 pounds making a 1521 pound load capacity tire OK for emergency use. Out of curiosity will research to see if this tire size comes in a higher capacity. Edit: Found one BF Goodrich All Terrain 215/70R/16 with a 100 load index and C1 load range at Discount Tire. 100 load index is 1764 pounds and C1 load range is 6 ply rating. Several 215/70R/16 tires have a 100 load index of 1764 pounds. I would still look closely at the specs to see be sure a new tire is not larger than the existing tire to be sure it fits in the spare tire storage housing. https://www.discounttire.com/learn/load-range-load-index

We keep a PEX repair kit with extra pipe, inner & outer pre-packed wheel bearings & seal, and small tool box for mechanical/electrical repairs on the road. Used to carry some things we did not need, so that stuff now stays at home.

Weighed the rig last year with a newer tow vehicle.

Welcome to the forum from North Carolina and Congrats on your new Ollie! Many folks here have moved to 3/4 or 1 ton tow vehicles for the LE2 and love their rig's performance. We tow our LE2 with a 1/2 ton 2022 Tundra and very satisfied with the rig's performance.

If you have need for a sump pump, a 12V pump can be installed and two 6V batteries can be used in series or two 12V can be used in parallel, maintained with a battery trickle charger for when power is on or off.

Couple years ago, while working on a friend’s 2015 Legacy Elite, found some cracked welds. He took his Ollie to Oliver to inspect and re-weld. Inspected our Ollie’s welds several times and at 5 years old during a service visit to Oliver, they inspected the frame, too. So far no frame weld issues.

Under the dinette there are 125V AC circuit breakers and 12V DC blade fuses in the Progressive Dynamics 125V/12V power supply. The water pump has a 12V 15 amp blade fuse #6 on our 2015 LE2 Ollie. 12V fuses might vary in number, so look at the number on the left side of the fuse to match with the 12V fuse list.

Thanks! We used to keep small rugs where you step off of the beds before installing carpet. We like how it feels to walk on carpet barefooted and stepping out of bed onto carpet, especially on cold mornings. 🙂 We still keep a rubber backed carpet mat at the door entrance over this carpet, for water and debris. Here's another idea how to keep carpet clean from another Ollie Couple that's not active on this forum: They said it's OK to post photos of their step modification using expanded metal where they place their shoes under the door before entering Ollie. If I did this mod, would install a horizontal piece of expanded metal without the piece bent vertically attached to the frame.

We really like having carpeting in Ollie, but the anti skid material did not keep the carpet in place very well. Decided to install carpet tape between the original floor and carpet. The tape works great securing the carpet and did not take long to install. We have an extra roll of carpet, for when we need to replace it, too.
