  1. Just imagine what the wait time would be if they were still building less than 50 per year! Congratulations to all that recognized an exceptional camper well ahead of the curve and/or (like me) just happened to discover Oliver at a relative early stage. Bill
  2. Prof57 - Welcome! There is a ton of information contained within this Forum and I encourage you to research, research, research. If you want the best and want to have a camper that will last you and your heirs then you have found it here. However, Olivers are not for everyone. Thus, research. Certainly seeing an Oliver in person is the best way to truly appreciate what most of us here try to convey and it is the best way to make sure that it is the camper for you. Good luck with your journey! Bill
  3. Thanks guys! I've always simply replaced zerks when I've run into this problem but they've always been on old crusty nasty things. With this being on a less than one year old unit with no signs of dried out old grease I figured there just had to be another way. Bottom line - I'll just replace it. Over the past two weeks I've greased two separate Elite II's with the EZ-Flex. I started with a brand new 14 oz tube of grease and there is still a bit left in the tube - probably about 2 or 3 oz. This job probably could be done with less grease, but there is not much to be lost by over-doing it a bit. Interestingly on one job the zerks were placed on the inside so that you had to crawl under the camper to do the job while (on mine) the zerks were placed to the outside. With the zerks on the outside I didn't have to crawl under but with the tires in place, it can be a slight job in getting the flexible grease gun tube firmly and directly aligned to the zerk. And, the two (on each side) that are directly above the "rubber" between the tires had to be done more by "feel". While I was at it I placed "caps on each zerk in order to keep them a bit cleaner - primarily for when this job is done while out on the road. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0040CWX7C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Bill
  4. Over the past two weeks I have greased the EZ- Flex suspension. Absolutely no problem except for one zerk - street side rear. Loading and unloading the suspension has had no effect - it still will not accept grease. Any ideas on the best way to correct the problem? Bill
  5. Just a bit more information for the Zipline. Participants must wear shoes that have closed toes and closed heels. Shorts are allowed but short shorts are discouraged. This is because when wearing the harness that is required for using the zipline short shorts would or might be fairly uncomfortable. Other than that wear comfortable cloths that suit the weather conditions. While I will try to get to everyone prior to May 5th at 1pm, the actual meeting place for the beginning of the zipline tour is right in the Main Lodge - just to the left as you enter the front doors. If I get any further details, I'll be sure to pass them along. Bill
  6. I too have been having this problem - on and off - for a number of weeks now. I know that Jason has been looking into it. Bill
  7. Scotty - I'm fairly sure that it was not Pete and I know for sure that it was not me. Mike - That wasn't me either! Darn it! Bill
  8. At the suggestion of Montanaoliver entries under this thread have been moved to a new thread titled "Using Fasteners and drilling in fiberglass". Bill p.s. thanks to Mark for the suggestion!
  9. For 2018 Rally I will have 1/2 inch PEX water line (usable for both hot and cold water) with me that is suitable for cutting into 2 to 4 foot lengths to be used for emergency repairs while on the road. Just stop by site G-13 and cut what you think you might need (free!) - I have two three foot sections that I leave in the area down by the water pump. This plus a few "Shark-bite" fittings should allow you to repair most water problems. Bill

  10. OOPS! Sorry Matteo I simply forgot. Certainly it would be a bit difficult for you to be doing installations without actually being there. Bill
  11. G&T - I don't recall seeing a complete list of which vendors are attending. The only specific one mentioned as attending was Andersen. Hopefully Coy will see this and respond. Bill
  12. Sweet! In this day and age it seems that it is becoming ever more difficult to convince people that there truly is a good product out there with great people standing behind what they build. It is so good to hear that you have proven for yourself what many of us have been saying here for years. Thanks! Keep those pictures coming and stay safe. Bill p.s. Obviously there was no rain, bugs, grease, tar, etc. on that drive down to the lower 48! Nice clean truck with a nice clean Ollie.
  13. "Cramped but safe" I don't know - a dachshund should have plenty of room, but, probably wouldn't make much of a bird dog. Really a nice looking rig - well put together with really classy wheels too. Bill
  14. The numbers are in, the reservations made, and our fates are sealed. We have a total of 12 intrepid souls "doin'" level 2 of the Screaming Eagle Zipline on Saturday, May 5th at 1pm. Those 12 are: Mike & Krunch, Yvonne & Doug, Pete, Steve, Chris, Rob & Vicki, Debbie, Clair and Bill. The total cost per person including taxes, fees, and prayers is $97.15 which has already been paid to the Park. With the exception of Mike & Krunch, who paid previously, I will accept either cash or check at the Rally. If anyone has questions prior to the Rally, they can either post it here or via a PM to me prior to Wednesday of next week (May 2nd). After that I'll be at the Rally in site G-13. THIS should be a bunch of fun - can't wait to get on the line! Bill
  15. Mike & Krunch - I'm hull #117 and picked up in February, 2016. I just added water to my batteries last week and the bulb is exactly like it was the day I picked up Twist. No problems at all and no signs of aging. Canoe 12 - I assume that your questions are being addressed to Mike & Krunch? Bill
  16. Last Call! Tomorrow (Wednesday) at high noon is the cut off for joining the bravest group attending the 2018 Rally. We are doin' level two on Saturday, May 5th at 1pm. Details can be found on the Park's website. After this cut off time it is possible to still join the group but a discount from the usual posted price ($99) will not be possible. If you have interest, either PM me or simply reply to this post. Bill
  17. I just deleted another half dozen spam postings! These guys are ridiculous! Bill
  18. Glad you got Snowball out! With regards to the water pump switch near the outside shower - ScubaRx has done that mod and I've been meaning to do it myself. Perhaps - if you are going to the Rally we can get Steve to give us a little show and tell. Can't be too hard - its just a switch or two. Bill
  19. Matt - When you have more details regarding the TV schedule, please post them (i.e. exactly when the Oliver might be featured). Not only would this be nice to see, but, we could pass the word along to non-Oliver people that just might be interested. Bill
  20. WOW! Right you are - were. Looks like Jason and/or Matt got on it and things are getting back to normal. Bill
  21. Kathy - Clair has now "officially" been added to the list and the great news is that this now qualifies ALL of us for a discount on the regular price. I am going to wait until our deadline of Wednesday at high noon to finalize everything with the Park. Just after I call them I will post here exactly what everyone owes and the total details as to where we should meet etc. Thanks for joining the group, Clair! Perhaps we can make Kathy the official photographer? We now have the ten "new" people the Park required plus the two that made reservations previously for a total of 12. If anyone else is interested prior to high noon Wednesday (April 25th) we can have as many as 15 total. Bill
  22. Debbie - Consider yourself added! Now, all we need is one more brave person for that discount. Discount or not I've got the list and am ready to gooooooooo. Bill
  23. Yeah for Rob and Vicki! I thought that because of the them we all can share in a 10% discount! Unfortunately, two of the ten we presently have had already made and paid for a reservation. The Park is insisting that in order to get this discount we have a total of 10 NEW people. So, let's beat the bushes and get two more. At least the Park agreed to let us have until Wednesday (April 25th) at high noon to add the two additional people. Looks like a great group so far! If anyone else would like to join us (up to another 5 people) just let me know (here or via a PM) and I will take care of the arrangements. Bill
  24. Just came across this new video. Just who is that doing the narration?
  25. Less than 24 hours left to get in on the "Screaming Oliver" zip line group. Either PM me or simply post here if you have interest in joining us no later than 12 noon tomorrow (Sunday) April 22. Thanks! Bill
