  1. Nooo John, that must’ve been in Adam and Eve’s days, these days there are bed slides…..like this one we have, love it 1000%! 😁
  2. Great thanks, can an admin please transfer the relevant posts from the Dreiha Atmos thread that I believe started around here to this thread, thanks!
  3. I thought this is a pretty good video explaining the difference between a 1/2 and 3/4 ton truck.
  4. John, we run our dual fuel Maxpeedingrods MXR3500S on propane without any issues. I prefer propane vs gas - it's cleaner burning, more eco friendly and lower maintenance. However, with propane you lose energy output, on our MXR3500S the specs are: Peak Wattage: 3500W (Gas) / 3100W (LPG) and Running Wattage: 3200W (Gas) / 2800W (LPG).
  5. On our 2023 you still need the neutral bonding plug to run a generator, you can override it by turning off the progressive industries switch in the attic.
  6. John, I’m a fan of your handiwork/DUI projects, so yeees please go ahead and start a new post. Thanks!
  7. Maybe this has been answered already, If the hull sizes are the same for all EII no matter the year, what would be the issue to go from the 50 to 50.5” axles?
  8. Hey John, are you going with the Alcan 2750 5-leaf or 2400lbs 4-leaf springs?
  9. John yes they switched to the 5200lb axels, however they stuck with the 3500 pound 4-Leaf spring packs that have always accompanied the 3500 pound axles. Edit: ....and from THIS post by @Geronimo John, a tech from Dexter stated that the stock 1750lbs rated 4-leaf springs are under specification for a 6,000# RV trailer that is always loaded. On our 2023 the 4-leaf springs are already showing signs of flattening, so I agree with the Dexter tech that the stock 1750lbs 4-leaf OEM springs are under rated for our LE IIs, unless maybe for those weekend warriors that will just go to their local campground.
  10. Yah I'm not sure, but I have seen many other "reputable" solar installers use that red bluesea switch as a solar and battery disconnect. The Oliver double hull fibreglass is best in class quality, but as far as I'm concerned they can do better with some of the electrical (and other) components. I believe in 2023 they dumped the zamp and went with Victron charge controllers and the BMV712 which I'm a huge fan off! Next I would like to see a Victron Multiplus II inverter, Cerbo GX, and to clean up all the buss bars and fuses a Victron Energy Lynx Distributor - and yes I understand it boils down to $$.
  11. Oh my goodness, so sorry that you had to experience 2 leaf spring failures and a shock, that's just terrible! I know you're out of warranty, but Oliver should be made aware of this, way too many stock leaf spring failures on our Ollies! @Mike and Carol and @jd1923 gave you some good advise, hopefully you will be back on the road soon! Please advise where this is so I can avoid it in my travels?
  12. @Tony and Rhonda and @T-Oliver Some good advice from others on this thread, if you want to really expand your knowledge on anything solar (sizing fuses, wires, breakers, solar panels, batteries, charge controllers etc.), Nate from EXPLORIST Life is extremely knowledgeable on this subject and he follows code to a T. He even has sizing calculators and complete solar diagrams available on his website. Here’s a link to his YouTube channel. Will Prowse and Nate have been my go-to for anything solar/electrical for a long time now.
  13. @aaronorange Also make sure the order in which your terminals, fuses, washers etc. are connected are correct, if not that can also mess up the flow of power. Here’s a great video by Nate from Explorist Life explaining the correct order.
  14. On our 2023 we have a solar disconnect switch in the cubby above the street side bed.
  15. @ZLarryb those white John Guest push to connect fittings are notorious for coming loose, check them all periodically like this
  16. Sadly the manual awning was not an option on our 2023, we have the Girard power awning. Wonder why they scrapped the manual option, Im thinking maybe because they switched from Dometic to Girard?
  17. Lucky you, sure wish we had a manual awning! Oliver should make that an option.
  18. Not sure if this will work with your awning.
  19. This is a good start providing us some specs of your truck! Based on that you will be able to tow it, but what is the cargo/payload capacity of your truck? Cargo/payload capacity is the maximum weight your truck can carry, this includes passengers, cargo and the tongue weight of the trailer. Sometimes a full fuel tank is included in the cargo/payload capacity, not sure on your tundra. Look inside your driver side door jam, there should be a sticker with the cargo/payload capacity, should look something like this.. You will probably run out of cargo capacity before towing capacity with your truck. We had a VW Touareg TDI with 7600lbs towing capacity and 1200lbs cargo capacity. It towed like a champ but we ran out of cargo capacity. For example the cargo capacity from the above picture is 1390lbs, so minus tongue weight of an Oliver (mine is 700lbs ish), now you’re left with 690lbs for passengers and cargo. **FYI, our Ollie fully loaded (we’re full timers) is 6380lbs
  20. @Lori L yes check those John Guest fittings, we had a loose one. Make sure the pex tubing is securely into the John Guest fitting until it stops, and then twist the locking nut to secure it in place. These locking nuts can come loose.
  21. @Mike and Carol maybe move this thread to the “New Windows for 2026?“ thread that’s already 3 pages long.
  22. Now that is really good news!😊
  23. Some good suggestions already, also make sure your outside shower hot and cold handles are fully closed
  24. Thanks Mike, and for those people not on LinkedIn, here’s a link of the Oliver Forum thread re the new 2026 windows.
  25. Just me but my only interest is the new windows. I know most of you prefer the current sliding windows, I do not like these windows at all - leaks, shrinking window seal/gaskets, side window tracks on the newer models cannot be removed to clean out the tracks/weep holes (yes I know there’s a thread on how to clean them)…I just never had RV windows before requiring so much maintenance! So if the new windows are dual pane with black out shades, can tilt out fully and by some miracle will fit our current window openings, then yes I will take out a second mortgage to go that route!
