Generator Inverter Usage
rich.dev replied to Wandering Sagebrush's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Actually, with your 1000W Generator at 120V is approx. 8.3A and at 110V it's 9A, so maybe the 8.5A is ok, but again hopefully someone with a Victron will chime in. -

Nice, when my Xantrex craps out I'll get the Victron Multiplus. I'm not familiar with the Victron Multiplus setings, and I could be wrong but 8.5A seems a bit low. I know we have owners with the Victron inverter on this forum so hopefully they will chime in. -

Generator Inverter Usage
rich.dev replied to Wandering Sagebrush's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
If you have the Xantrex inverter I believe you have to change the AC input setting, that would be # 28 setting in the Xantrex FXC Control app. Your 1000W generator at 110V is only approx. 9A, the Xantrex (my 3000W anyway) is factory set to 25A because the breaker size for the inverter is 25A and the main power supply is 30A which is greater than the breaker size. So when you connect to a generator or house receptacle that supplies lower amps, you need to adjust setting #28 down to match the current incoming power supply. Or like @dewdev said, shut off the circuit breaker to your inverter. -

And replace those screws with knurled m5x25 thumb screws and these o-rings, I used these SS knurled thumb screws, but you also get white plastic knurled head thumb screws. -

I used SS ones, but if I had to do it over I would use aluminum or THESE in size M5x25. I found the SS ones were tough to bulge/seat propery, but I think it was because of the homemade tool I used! -

I have an Iphone but it should be the same for an Android. Search "FXC Control" in apple store or google play, ANDROID USERS Download the Xantrex FXC App at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xantrex.fxccontrol&hl=en_US&gl=US APPLE USERS Download the Xantrex FXC App at: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fxc-control/id1484424847 download the app then follow this video to connect it to your Xantrex remote display. -
Oliver batteries not charging with generator

You should have a breaker for the inverter under the street side bed on the wheel well, looks like this. Some suggestions... 1) Did you check if the ground bonding plug is seated properly in your generator? 2) Are you running your 3500W generator on gas or propane. Because it generates only approx. 2800 continuous running watts on propane, which at 120V is approx. 23A, which should still be enough power to run your trailer without changing the Xantrex settings. Try changing the Xantrex AC input settings from the factory 25A to 20A, that would be #28 setting in the Xantrex "FXC Control" app. This setting is set to 25A at the facory because the breaker size for the inverter is 25A and the main power supply is 30A which is greater than the breaker size. When you connect to a generator or house receptical that supplies a lower amps, you need to adjust setting #28 down to match the current incoming power supply. Your smaller generator could have messed it up. 3) Like @topgun2 suggested, take a rubber mallet and tap the transfer switch box 4) If you trust your generator turn off the EMS and see if it works. -

Yet another option for your Starlink Cable
rich.dev replied to AlbertNTerri's topic in Ollie Modifications
Very nice, Is this mount aftermarket or does it come with the starlink? -
Congrats Gerry! We also looked at the Ekko, but at that stage the Ekko was still in its infancy stage, so we decided on the Oliver. Did you end up getting the Sprekko or Trekko!
-
In mine it's 3"
-
This might be it, or one of them!
-
Jason, I think the problem with covering them is, when youāre driving down the road these scuppers also cause a venturi effect, which actually draws air/moisture out from between the Hulls.
-
Can you post a picture of the clips?
-
The slide is 78āx48ā, from bottom of bed to slide is 4.5ā
-
Thanks Jason, the Lund and Dee Zee options can work!
-
Jason, yes I have looked at these style of storage boxes that swing sideways. The problem with my layout, 1) the slide sides are in the way, I donāt have the swing out space, and 2) my cap is secured to the bed sides with the large G clamps so I donāt think the lid will be able to open all the way.

Also a benefit for a potential buyer who has a a trade in on an Oliverā¦.to save tax on the value of that trade in!

Time to resurrect this thread! I had my truck box sprayed with Line-X, added a cargo ease slide and leer cap Now for those who have a slide, what are you all using for storage on the sides of your slide, the gaps in front and behind the wheel wells? And please if you donāt have a slide, your ideas/suggestions are also welcomed!š **FYI, I posted same question here.

So hereās the finished product, box, sprayed with Line-X, a Leer cap and cargo glide slide! š Now, what are you all using for storage on the sides of your slide, the gaps in front and behind the wheel wells?

I was thinking of doing exactly that, then I saw the recommended duct lengths in the Truma manual (attached) just recently! It might still work, but I havenāt sat down yet to really mull it over! Truma furnace duct length.pdf.pdf
