Patriot Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 (edited) Good Morning from Watsadler COE CG on Lake Hartwell. Site 17 will always be very memorable. A cool 52 breezy degrees here last night which made for a perfect nights sleep. Something special about the lake front camping. We are early risers and caught this new day beginning. We will depart this beautiful spot shortly and make our to Lake Guntersville SP on roads much less traveled. Patriot Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 (edited) Our 23 day 2024 “Lake Hopping Tour” - It started on the coast of SC and then onto Lake Santee SP for a few days. We left Santee SP and booked a lake front site on Lake Hartwell in Gawwwga. After enjoying a few nights at Lake Hartwell we motored over to Lake Guntersville and really enjoyed a great time at the Rally. Time seemed to go by so quickly. It was so good to see old friends and make quite a few new friends. We hope everyone got home or to their next destination CG safely. Cheers from Blueberry Hill! 🫐 IMG_1049.mov My bride & amazing navigator. We enjoyed a nice campfire just about every night. Boudicca908 Posted May 31 Posted May 31 I recently spent 12 days boondocking in the Kaibab NF, near Marble Canyon, overlooking the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. FS 611 (Forest Service Road) is a combination of washboard, loose rock over sand, and some pits, but slow and steady got me there — about 5 miles up FS611 there are a few dispersed camping sites that are spectacular. 8 2 Oliver Elite II Twin (delivered 3/28/2022) Tow Vehicle: Chevy Silverado 2500HD diesel

If we head out west again this summer we’ll surely touch base. We need to get through our blueberry picking season and then we’ll be traveling again. A real pleasure meeting you and D at the rally. Patriot Posted August 31 Author Posted August 31 (edited) After a great blueberry harvest we are finally back in beautiful Colorado! We are base camped for a few days here in Colorado Springs and the weather so far has been awesome. We are enjoying the cool 50 degree nighttime sleeping temps with our windows wide open and the cool desert breeze is great for sleeping. The day time temps have been in the 70’s to 80’s. Our plan to make our way to South Fork, then Durango and onto Montrose. Eventually we will end up in Grand Junction to get the 5 leaf pack installed. From there we will head to Utah, Wyoming and possibly Montana. If in Colorado Springs area check out Torchys Taco’s 🔥 for all kinds of yummy tacos with a kick! The “foodies we are” Ha! 😝 Safe Travels to All! Sunrise, and sunsets are my favorite times of the day. SL mini deployed - a total game changer! My lovely bride enjoying lunch. Needless to say we skipped evening dinner.
