Hokieman Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Many of us here in Ollie World are familiar with the beautiful woodwork of fellow Oliver owner Foy Sperring. Not long ago he introduced an extended dinette that adds 5” to the length, it’s been a very popular model. Our 2021 Oliver Elite II was ordered without the fiber granite (not an option on 2022 models), so we could invest that money into Foy’s woodwork. Andrew K suggested to me the dinette could be improved by adding 2” width on each side. We took a chance and asked Foy to make us a complete set of tops and cutting board in walnut. We also ordered the drawer organizers. We are thrilled with the outcome! The extra 5” length, 4” overall dinette width, is a good size, and looks great too. It’s amazing how much extra space is now available to us for dinner, and we don’t have to scoot way forward on the seat cushion to eat. The walnut looks terrific, but I think mahogany or other woods are beautiful too. This dinette top will not work as a bed, but we still have the fiberglass top if we take the grandchildren camping. We are very grateful we have a master craftsman like Foy on our team, I strongly recommend his products. 4 4 “Ramble” - 2021 Legacy Elite II #797; 2020 Ford F-250
AndrewK Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Mike, Thanks for the shout out! We hope to order ours soon. Andrew Andrew 2019 Legacy Elite II 2018 BMW x5 35d
Foy_Mirna Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Thank you Mike and Jill for the kind word regarding my craft. This was a great project, black walnut is just so beautiful and I really love the way it turned out. Here are two pictures of the standard size dinette on top of your Mega-dinette for comparison. 2 2 Onward, Foy and Mirna Roamy Mc Roadhouse 2017 Legacy Elite II, Twin Bed Hull #227 2021 RAM 1500 Limited
Moderators SeaDawg Posted July 4, 2021 Moderators Posted July 4, 2021 That's beautiful! Really warms up the interior. Foy is such a fine craftsman. We are, indeed, fortunate to have him on our team. Question: does the small dinette top attach to the sidewall of the Oliver the same way? 2008 Ram 1500 4 × 4 2008 Oliver Elite, Hull #12 Florida and Western North Carolina, or wherever the truck goes.... 400 watts solar. DC compressor fridge. No inverter. 2 x 105 ah agm batteries . Life is good.
Hokieman Posted July 4, 2021 Author Posted July 4, 2021 The Mega-Dinette attaches to the wall and the pedestal using the same fittings, tightened down with the 2 thumbscrews. The table and all other tops are a fast, easy DYI install, and Foy provides clear written instructions. 1 “Ramble” - 2021 Legacy Elite II #797; 2020 Ford F-250
Moderators Mike and Carol Posted July 4, 2021 Moderators Posted July 4, 2021 I like the wood look, Foy does a great job. I think the extra inches on the table top will make a huge difference. Mike Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L

ChrisMI Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 The results are just beautiful and really class up and add warmth to the trailer. If someone buys a new trailer can the fiber countertops be ripped out easily or are they bonded down? What a shame they are not allowing custom options any more.
Dave and Kimberly Posted July 17, 2021 Posted July 17, 2021 Very nice work Foy! I really appreciate your grain selection. 2022 Elite II, Hull #1097 Elli Rose 🌹 and she has the solar panels with the 390Ah lithium batteries.
