From a SS ceramic brick grill to a Weber Q. All were more trouble than they were worth for one reason or another. Some were always too hot, some not hot enough, some were messy to clean and all were impossible to pack into the vehicle efficiently. Until we bought a Black Stone. It easily breaks down into two almost equally sized pieces. I built a rack attached to the bed slide in the Silverado to specifically hold them. I also bought this folding table to set it on. This is the best system, by far, that we’ve ever had. I just bought a Blackstone 22 for my upcoming adventures. Would you mind sharing a photo or two of the rack you built to your slide? 1 2014 Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel 4X4 Truck 2024 Oliver Legacy Elite II Hull 1460

I have a 36” commercial grade flat top at home and there is nothing cooked on it that can’t be cooked on this smaller griddle when camping. Perfect for 2-3 person food preparations, compact, carry bag/griddle cover, easy to clean, fun to cook on, ‘nough said! 2 2020 OLEll, Twin, 579: No installed solar, Renogy 40A DC-DC charger, 460Ah LFP battery bank/Victron SmartShunt, auxiliary Cerbo-S GX/Victron 30A Blue Smart IP22 Charger combo, Hughes Autoformer, dual Lagun tables, extended dinette table and pantry landing, tongue-mounted hoist, Beech Lane refrigerator Ventilation/Evaporate Coil fans, Dreiha Atmos 4.4 A/C upgrade. 2019 GMC Savana 2500 Cargo Work Van: Explorer Limited SE, Low-Top 7 Passenger van conversion, 6.0L V8 Vortec, 6-Speed Automatic, RWD; Air-Lift LoadLifter air suspension/WirelessAir compressor; Buyers Products cargo containment boxes/DC Cargo securement system; pending transfer of DC-DC cable run and Mechman 320A high output alternator from former TV.
2008RN Posted November 25 Posted November 25 @Ronbrink Great job job of space utilization. I like the way you packed the inside of the griddle. I just bought our 17" inch Blackstone this last summer. My wife and I love it. We fill up the grill for a nice large and fancy meal. Clean up is a breeze. We got rid of our older 2 burner stove for the black stone. It is now our go to cooking appliance in nice weather. If it is poring rain and windy then it back inside to cook. 1 Early 1999 Ford F250 SD 7.3L Diesel 2020 Elite II Twin - Hull # 648

We bought the larger Blackstone model and returned it without trying it. The connection of the top seemed loose, and I did not like the grease trap. Chris, Adam and I all have restaurant experience, using commercial equipment and we wanted something better. Must be stainless steel, not Teflon or aluminum. We bought this electric countertop griddle, thinking of using it for camping when on shore power or adequate battery/inverter capacity. It's amazing, yet it’s really toooo heavy to load and unload when camping. What a deal on the commercial grade griddle! We kept it for home use. Avantco EG16N 16" Electric Countertop Griddle - 120V, 1750W Found a cabinet on Craigs so it could sit on our deck at home. We get morning sun on the deck and given our climate we use it outside year-round. With a piece of plexiglass I had on hand, I created a splash guard and installed an overhead light. Chris cooks breakfast on the grill almost every morning. Cleaning takes some work as it is stainless, not coated. Picture shows Adam and Chris cooking Egg Foo Young, one late June night! It's generally hard to cook a dinner like this with big eaters like us in a normal home kitchen! We still do not have a flattop grill for camping! 🤣 Might just get a flat griddle iron that fits the kitchen cooktop. jd1923 Posted November 25 Posted November 25 (edited) We cook anything inside or out, and more inside now with our new Emeril Air Fryer installed! The MaxxFan clears up any cooking smoke/smells nicely. Most trips we like to have a meal ready for our first night that only needs reheating. This way I don't have to do the full campsite setup after a long day. Love to be outside more, though during our 2023 spring trip to Moab UT and points between, we had more days windy than not. So windy, the Weber Q grill would not stay fired. Can't sit by the fire ring either! Edited November 25 by jd1923 1 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!

But for $189 and at a weight that can be carried, the Advantco is really nice. Check the reviews from small restaurant owners. btw, you know I’m one for a deal… when our grilled was shipped they dropped it, bent the upper left corner. Webstaurant, to whom we have bought from often, offered me a 20% refund or 40% in store credit. We took the credit! You cannot get a better grill for under $200. The next grill up in price is near $500. All you need is a 110V outlet. 1 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!
