Paul and I spent the last two weeks camped on our property outside Asheville, NC. Among our chores, the "shabin" got a new coat of paint on three sides, Paul plumbed hot water into the bathroom, and we installed the EZE RV gutters over all the windows in the Oliver. Paul did a great job, I think, and they look really nice, as if they came with the trailer. We chose the UltraWhite color, which matches the white gelcoat really closely. In some of those heavy downpours (what Pete so poetically calls "frog drowning gully washers," ) our weepholes would become overwhelmed. Especially, when the rain washes off the sidemount solar panels, and runs like a wide open hose down the side of the big window over the dinette... overwhelming even super clean weep holes. So far, we're happy. The gutters should divert some of the rain away from the window. Haven't had one of those "frog drowners" yet since installation, though, so I'll let you know. Since it's monsoon season in Florida, I should know soon. I took a bunch of photos (Paul claimed editorial rights... probably wants to make sure I got him modeling the right beer tee shirt...) and I'll post those soon. He reported that the material was really easy to work with, after leaving it in the sun for thirty minutes or so. Sticks like crazy with 3m adhesive already applied. I think he did a very professional job. Under my supervision, of course. It's really a one person job, but he let me help. Hand me the alchohol, I need another paper towel, hand me the pvc cutters, please etc... Makes me feel useful. Probably would have been faster if he worked alone. Oh, well. Then I could get back to painting and building a campfire... Sherry1 point

Please call me John .. here is what I unconditionally recommend for both gas and diesel engines. https://smile.amazon.com/Ar6200-Modification-Complex-Treats-Gallons/dp/B005WWO7YQ/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1467557655&sr=1-3&keywords=Archoil I have been using it for three years and I think it is a very fine additive for all diesels, as do most of the enthusiast forums. It is expensive per bottle but you only use 1/2 ounce per 40 gallons routinely. That is about 6 cents per gallon treated. I typically add 10 ml per 25 gallon fill up. It has an easy to use graduated dispenser showing milliliters. I buy the 16 ounce bottle, but this smaller one would be a good choice to test on your Titan. The main reason I use it is to add lubricity to the fuel. The newer low sulfur fuel is hard on fuel pumps and this helps keep that expensive part happy. The other benefits are just a bonus for me... Archoil's friction modifier oil treatment is amazing, and it absolutely cures the chronic sticky injector/ rough idle/ slow start issues that the Powerstroke 6.0 suffers from. It has injectors operated by high pressure engine oil and normally they do not stay working. Their fuel system cleaner is basically concentrated AR6200 and you can duplicate the effect by double dosing. I added the fuel treatment to my Outback XT (turbo) that had a stumbling and power loss issue, from bad gas I suspected. I did not add any extra fuel. Within 20 minutes it smoothed out and ran fine. I was very impressed. http://www.archoil.com Google Archoil or search Cumminsforum.com and after 15 minutes reading I think you will be convinced. I researched this very well and I think you will like it. Enjoy your new truck. We need pictures. John Davies Spokane WA1 point

Most of you have noticed the navigation icons on the right now. I find them especially helpful on a mobile device. I've updated them this morning... Lock icon = login /logout screen. If you're logged in, there is also a link to your profile here. F icon = Forums. This is actually a Foursquare icon, but thought it would be the best fit to recognized a quick link to the forums. Comment icon = view recent topics Feed icon = view activity wall People icon = view/search members Facebook icon = you can share whatever page you are on to facebook Twitter icon = you can share on twitter Arrow up = takes you to the top of the page For now, I probably won't be adding any more since on a mobile it would be too many to fit most screens1 point

Vector, Believe the Nissan XD Titan would be a strong TV! Used to (retired) install Cummins diesels in several industrial applications with fine results. Just returned from southern MO where we purchased our "new to us" 2015 Elite II! We enjoy playing golf, too!!!!!1 point

Food for thought - the factory is about a day's drive from your area. There is an OK campground about five miles to the east of the factory and then after your tour, the family can get on the Natchez Trace or head up to Nashville for a little vacation. Boone is a bit too far north - I've heard that there just might even be Yankees up there! Bill1 point

Vector, Welcome to a friendly place. We lived in Clayton, MO for the better part of 25 years. Once retired (early) we realized that it was hot in the summer and cold in the winter and with no relatives in that area we decided to head to the mountains of North Carolina. In any case, it is still a nice area to raise a family. As Mike states - the Tacoma is about the bare minimum for towing the Elite II. Presently over on the FGRV Forum there is a good discussion about tow vehicles with the Taco at the center. Between that forum and this one there is certainly enough to read on the subject. Also, depending on what stage of the process you are in with the folks at the factory, don't be afraid to ask questions of those folks. Between Anita and Justin at the factory and all of the folks here I'm sure that most of your questions can be answered. Bill1 point

Hey Vector, welcome! When do you pick up? We will be in Hohenwald May 10 getting ours. I'll be towing with a 2012 Tacoma, probably the bare minimum. You'll get several opinions on tow vehicles. I agree with more is better but I've only got 90K miles on my Tacoma so it is just getting broken in. Will let everyone know how it goes after our 2 week meander back to San Antonio. Mike1 point
