Steve & I are the couple who won 2!!! door prizes on Saturday night. of the Rally. The 2nd prize was the Dometic Avalanche 55. Being new to trailer camping & o, so, incredibly uneducated on the latest & greatest camping equipment we did not really know what we had until we got home. We have now researched this cooler & used it yesterday, at a large Mother's Day gathering at our home, we now realize how lucky we were to win this fantastic cooler. This not something we would have ever purchased. We feel very fortunate and are thankful for the Oliver Company for providing. The entire Rally was a wonderful & informative experience. We will pick up our trailer in 3 weeks.3 points

Kathy, Looks like you found the solution to the problem you were having since I see your packing cubes post about 15 minutes after this one. If you continue to have problems PM one of the Moderators or Matt Duncan. Bill2 points

Hi all... Checking in to see if anybody uses packing cubes to help organize their Ollie. If so, do you like them? As an experiment I purchased 1 medium-sized packing cube from Amazon.com to see how much it could easily hold. The cube I got, fully packed, measures 14"x 9.5" with a 4" depth. Most medium cubes I found on Amazon were 3" deep so clothing amount could vary. I packed firmly but not so tight to have a wrinkled mess and found the cube held the following: 4 - Men's x-large T-shirts (I tried rolling them but found folding allowed me 1 more shirt) 3 - lightweight socks 1 - heavyweight sock 4 - boxer underwear 1 - nylon sport short Hopefully the pack will fit nicely into an upper cabinet. There seems to be more and more F-150's out there on the forum. I am creating this topic for all of us who have an F-150 and are experiencing or will experience the dreaded Trailer Disconnect Message. This topic will hopefully help us 1.) Understand the issue and 2.) Find a way to lessen / live with it. To start a hearty THANK YOU to all those I have talked to about this, especially Steve / ScubaRX. I also have a request for any who read this thread: PLEASE LIMIT this discussion to the disconnect issue on the F-150 ONLY. Many helpful people who know a lot more about trailer electronics than I do will undoubtedly want to help diagnose grounding issues etc. For the F-150 that would send most folks down a very deep rabbit hole. OK.. and thanks in advance for your help on this. This is what I know / have been able to surmise about the situation: IT's the TRUCK! Not the trailer. If you google F-150 and trailer disconnect you will get a huge amount of hits going back a very long time. Ford must know about this and just not care about fixing it.DON'T worry about your BRAKES! - All the lights and turn signals work fine even when the trucks computer tells you the trailer is disconnected. AND THE BRAKES ARE WORKING TOO! The good news..... no danger, but it still sure is annoying. If you want to check this, use the manual brake controller to apply the brakes when the trailer is showing disconnected. You can also go to the trailer status screen and see the gain when you apply the foot brake. < I worried a long time about the brakes and now its nice to know that they are still there doing their job > This is what I think we might be able to do about it: I read that running a ground jump cable between trailer and truck might help. That is if it is a grounding issue that is causing the trucks computer to think the trailer is disconnected. I am thinking this would involve wire, connectors, screws and drilling some small holes. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help on placing a ground between the truck and trailer would be appreciated. I will get er done and report back on the next trip.Has anyone SOLVED this issue? Either with the help of Ford or on your own?I plan to address this with my local ford dealer, but frankly don't have much hope that they will have a solution. Finally for those planning on buying an F-150 as an Ollie tow vehicle. Everything else about the truck is great. Lots of power. Nice ride. Tows great. And, the Pro Backup Assist helps very much for trailer newbs like me. This is the only issue that drives me a bit crazy. Thanks Everyone... Smooth Roads and Blue Skies! Bill, I have a phone call schedule with Jason tomorrow about several issues I am having. I will ask him about the product and see if I can locate it. Stay tuned for what I learn. Scotty1 point

I camp with five of these cubes. Three large, one medium, one small. Tshirts in one, shorts in one, underwear, socks, medicine, etc. When I need something, I don't have to rummage through different items to find what I need. All the cubes will fit in an overhead compartment.1 point

My wife and I would like to thank the Oliver family and their awesome staff for putting on such a wonderful, informative rally. We learned so much and have just begun to scratch the surface about our Oliver trailer!1 point

Overland, I initially thought I'd carry and use my Honda 2000 in the basket, but did not like the vibrations (although minor) that could be felt inside the traier while it ran. It now rides in the truck bed and runs either on the tailgate or on the ground. The box is used for chocks and blocks or local firewood. Pete1 point

Hello everyone! Wifey and I are considering purchasing a Legacy II Elite and selling our 2012 Casita 17 Spirit Deluxe. We have spoken to Karen in Sales and had a delightful visit with Larry (Mountainborn) while checking out the Oliver when he and his wife were traveling near us. I really like the looks, functionality, solid construction, and quality control of the Oliver. Wifey and I realize that this is a significant investment, too. So, we are doing the research and asking questions. I will read every word of this forum. Are there other "Oiver" Forums? I have regisered with the Oliver Blog to continue our research. Specifically, we are curious about the topics, concerns, mods, things that fall short, cause problems or worry, are a hassle, or things that Oliver owners wish for/could be improved with their Oliver. For example: How well does the refrigerator work at keeping things cold in 100 degree desert-like temperatures? Is the awning sturdy and strong? Towing issues? Ground clearance? Outside storage? Is the Mach 8 noisy? Maintenance issues? Using a generator? Comparision to other trailers (Airstream, Bigfoot, Escape, etc.)?, etc. etc. We are interested in learning about using and enjoying the Oliver in a "real-world" trailering scenario. We have no interest in bashing the excellent Oliver travel trailer, but we do want to hear genuine, honest opinions and ideas. We want to hear about what you don't like or wish you could change about your Oliver . We especially want to hear from Oliver folks that have used their trailer extensively. This is how we learn and this will help us make a much "better-informed" decision. We are not looking for a "deal-breaker" that would stop us from getting an Oliver. By the way, we use Good Sam Roadside Assistance, mostly camp in parks (state, COE, commercial RV) and usually have FHU or at least water and electric. We boondock only occassionaly or when necessary. Thanks everyone and we anticipate hearing your ideas, opinions, comments, and observations.1 point

Dory, the Filipino woman and I had a great time too. Even though the first few days were rainy and we drove most of our 400 miles in the rain with water over the roads in many places we had a great time because of the friendliness of the Oliver owners and all the good food Oliver provided and the local Tenessee crooner. We met many interesting people of which the least were not Don Bell and friend with their macerating toilet. (Very cool toilet.) We also met Zeke and Diane from our home town and had wondered who owned the other Ollie in our town. Yes, I learned much about my Ollie, of which I've forgotten most already. Are the videos already posted somewhere? We too, thank all of the Oliver company people (Thanks, Matt!) and John and Scott Oliver and Coy for their hard work and dedication to the Rally. And thanks to the campground people and Chamber of Commerce too.1 point

Yes, heck of a Rally. Lots of information, great presentations, meeting lots of people (at least half of which I don't remember the names - sorry!), meeting those very hard working people from Oliver that gave up their weekend, eating a bunch of food (provided by Oliver), meeting vendors who were very gracious with time and information and watching the joy of those people that won one of the numerous door prizes given away. Coy did a great job as MC and organizer. Matt Duncan was the point man for registration, t-shirts and paperwork, etc. A bunch of folks from Oliver and volunteers handled the food and cleanup after the food. The Oliver service guys were always seen running taking care of anything from display units to a music stage to helping owners with "issues". Of course the sales staff was there too answering questions from current and future owners alike - and this includes being there on Sunday morning! A big thanks to the Oliver family, Coy, and everyone attending for such a friendly well run event. Hope to see you next year! Bill1 point

ReconDon, Welcome! Options our Twin Bed Elite II Ollie came with, (purchased our Ollie used) Fiber Granite counter tops, reading lights, exterior LP quick disconnect, Winegard Omni-Directional Antenna, and overhead storage door mirrors. Installed Dexter suspension EZ system with flex bronze bushings and wet pins after purchase. The Ollie has fine towing manners/brakes and no stability issues so far. Also use a 100W portable suitcase Solar Panel when away from 110V. Couple items I want to install on the Ollie, access hatch to reach the propane tank valves without removing cover and access hatch under the curbside bed to reach fresh water tank drain without removing the mattress. Learned one thing on the last camping trip, spraying sandals with disinfectant spray while sitting at the dinette. That's where the LP leak detector/sensor is located. All I can say is the LP gas alarm system works great, must have been the aerosol propellant that started the loud alarm. We really like our Ollie and see Oliver continuously making standard improvements with additional and improved options. Hope this helps!1 point
