David S. brought this to our attention sime time ago. We ask people to use private messages, or pms, when sharing contact info (email addresses, phone numbers,et), to avoid that information being swept up by spammers, bots, and bad guys. Private messages are just that-- private. Only you, and the intended recipient can see them. But, some members are new to forums, and our private message system can be a multistep process. The simplest way to send a private message (pm) is to log in, click on the three horizontal bars top right ( dropdown menu button.) Click on the envelope. Click on compose new. Start typing the first few letters of the user's screen name, and when you see the correct name, start writing your email. Proofread, and hit send. Done. ( note: this is a much simpler process than our old system!) Alternatively, if the person you would like to pm has a recent post, click on his username anywhere it appears in bold... in a post, at the recent users at the bottom of the page, or even in the "thanked by" section at the bottom of a post. Clicking on the username will take you to the user profile, and you'll see an envelope. Clicking here will take you to the message box, where you can type your message, proofread, and hit send. I added a few screenshots in the next post below as visual aids. Sherry1 point

Our original (2008) fridge was a norcold, and I reallyliked it.. We never had that issue, but got really good help from Norcold tech service when we did have a problem. Try calling tech service at norcold first. The number is in your manual. They may tell you to take it to an authorized dealer near you. You're under warranty. Any authorized dealer can help you. We like the smaller camping world near us. Sherry1 point

It's a nice feature for people who use private messaging a lot. You can download history, and delete old messages without losing the info. Not a big deal for light users. There is a limit to stored messages. In the old dsys, it was 100. I think it's a lot more, now. Sherry1 point

John, I continue to admire your mods and the preciseness of the build with pictures included. I can’t even put a nail in a piece of wood without bending it! But with your mods I can hire a good handyman an have it done! Thanks1 point

Hey, John. I honestly think I spent more time thinking through TV choice than I did the trailer. That van is a 6.0L extended passenger w/ 10spd and tow rating of 10k and after-market Eaton Trutrac limited slip. Actually a lot of folks said go cargo because of the rear AC unit and the problems removing seat rails but I had rather unique needs where both of those things are plusses. I don't yet have pictures but I removed all but the first row of passenger seats and everything behind that will spend most of its time as a moto garage. We welded up brackets onto a 4x4 ranch gate and then attached a plate of Lexan and that is a removable partition between the "garage" and the passengers. Further reinforcement of the gate via straps that attach into eye bolts in the OEM seat belt mounts. The partition connects into the OEM seat rails in two different positions. So this gives me a big garage when moving bikes and moto gear and also a small garage when not moving those things and then frees up the seat rails to again take 2 rows of passenger seats. I'm planning to replace all of the plastic internal body kit in the garage area with custom insulation and sound proofing. Additionally, I'm going to cover the windows in the garage area with insulation and sound proofing as the garage may well double as a rain shelter when on a moto adventure and weather necessitates. In good weather it will keep snoopers from looking in the windows of the garage and getting any ideas. I'm keeping the rear AC because it will be nice to have it back there for a number of reasons (I'll be riding out West : CA, NV, UT, AZ, etc). In the process of cutting 2" rubber horse mat into strips as removable "soft" flooring to go between the seat rails. Removable because certain bikes (Tiger 800) likely won't have roof clearance with the flooring in but most of my dirt bikes will. Down the road I may well add 2-5" lift. Maybe a bubble top from Fiberene. Maybe maybe a 4x4 conversion at some point though I don't expect it will be necessary. It does well enough on the fire roads and muddy stuff I've been through (without the trailer) with just the LSD and the K02 knobbies.1 point

New Oliver owner (Hull#444) and very much interested in learning at the Rally. Good topics planned for Sunday - unfortunately, I am still working (ugh) and need to return back to work Monday morning. With an 11 hour drive back to FL, we must leave Sunday morning and head south. Hate it. Hopefully from Wed night to Sunday morning we will meet new friends and learn much from experienced owners. Next year we will plan better (and, starting in July, I will be semi-retired at 20hrs per week - working for the medical benefits).1 point

Love Mossemi's shoe idea! Our shoes are kept in covered bins tucked under the trailer next to the front door. Clothing storage was one of my worries in the planning stages as well. In addition to the packing cubes inside, we started out with a fairly large bin each in the back of the truck full of clothes we thought we might want. Over time, that extra stash has dwindled down to one shared smaller bin. It helps that we're pretty much chasing the sun and warm weather clothes don't take up as much room.1 point

If you have been considering trying this treatment but have balked at the cost, it's on sale right now. You can get either two or four 8 oz bottles at a 31% or 35% discount. I have been using this for three years and am very impressed. It's great in all engines but especially useful and effective in diesels and also in high performance turbo gas engines that are extra sensitive to fuel quality. It is not snake oil. https://smile.amazon.com/Archoil-Fuel-Modification-Complex-PACK/dp/B01N9QEVQL/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487378571&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=Archoil+fuel&psc=1 https://smile.amazon.com/Archoil-Fuel-Modification-Complex-FOUR/dp/B01NARYTK1/ref=cm_wl_huc_item I just ordered the four pack.
