Here are the silicone AT holders I use. I use a zip tie to hold them in place where I hide them. I also use adhesive backed type holders. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09468VZ5W?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_asin_image

I placed ours inside the inside or interior of the hull and it works fine. The idea is to allow it to be placed where another cell phone will pick up the signal the AT is sending. The inside AC might be good as long as the adhesive on the AT holder does not fail and you loose it. I have one hidden in my Honda generator, TV, car, as well.

Rear Electric Stabilizer Jack adjustment - help?
Patriot replied to tallmandan's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Just following up…..did Oliver provide a fix for your issue? If so care to share? -
I heard the same, and an 8” tilt out would be reduced air flow vs existing the windows with cross ventilation. I really don’t have a dog in the fight and have not had any issues with my current windows which provide great cross ventilation. Just regular maintenance in keeping the tracks and weep holes clean and all is good. It will be interesting to see what supplier of tilt out windows the Oliver engineers roll with.
-
The only important detail missing is exactly which model/manufacturer tilt out window Oliver will choose as a supplier. 🤔 The window you show appears to be a basic lexan non double pane style? My understanding is the new windows will be insulated, tinted glass, and double pane and hopefully up fitted with no see um screens. Then what sort of privacy shade will the new windows have? Lots of details to be worked out for sure. So for now it’s pretty much a wait and see. Hopefully for future owners they will fully tilt out.

In my discussion with Scott Oliver while at the rally, the possible “retro fit” of the new double pane/insulated awning tilt out windows is something they are considering. (This will be expensive to retrofit if it can be done). Scott said that the engineering dept is working on it. The only concern I have is sacrificing the great cross ventilation of the existing windows which we really like. The tilt out windows have their pros and cons, but will also really limit cross ventilation. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Cozy is an understatement! Making fun memories for sure. 😊 Glad your trip was a success. Really digging that Earth Roamer Beast 💯. - https://earthroamer.com/sx-explore/? 🤩

I suppose anything is possible. I removed the speaker from the tag, to make it very difficult to locate without hearing it.

We keep it simple and just use an Apple air tag. No monthly fee, so far it works great and we just replace the battery each year along with all the rest of the batteries. We store our Oliver at our home not in public view.

Great question. My SL Mini is tied to my account. If stolen it becomes a useless brick of no value. As the owner I can advise SL that it was stolen and they deactivate the account completely. After 48 days out west last fall, we never had a concern about our dish being stolen. When we leave our site to go XPLOR, we temporarily store it in our Oliver until we return and then redeploy. So far zero issues. The portability of the Mini is awesome, I will likely never permanently mount it for many reasons. If we are in a CG that I feel like I need to lock the Mini down with a cable, we have probably picked the wrong CG and will move on. We vet CG’s pretty hard when traveling and like gated SPs, and privately owned CG’s. Never had any issues with theft the entire time we have owned our Oliver. I always carry an extra cable lock, I find it much easier to just secure the dish in the Oliver if we leave.

Need a new Grill? A 2-burner Napoleon at an Amazing Price!

I actually purchased this 24’ LP hose not the 18’ with quick connect. - https://www.amazon.com/DOZYANT-Pressure-Quick-Connect-Disconnect-Extension It has served us well! -
It has water proof plugs. Our Mini has gone through a serious rain and even a hail storm had zero issues. The custom case adds a little weight to the Mini and does a good job of keeping in grounded during light wind conditions. With high winds I will use a bungee to secure it to a table or just place it on the ground. I run an extension cord from the Oliver exterior outlet into the bed of my TV. I have a camper shell so water is not a concern when I plug in the Mini and our Truma cooler in during bad weather. Just how we roll. 😊 Here is a pic of a chilly 28 degree morning while camped in Yellowstone at Fishing Bridge last fall. Our Mini was working great. It has a built in heating element (you must go into your IPhone app to turn it on) to keep ice or snow from collecting on the dish. We love cold weather camping! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

You may want to consider a much longer hose than 6’. We use an 18’ hose from the LP QC’s on our Oliver. 😎 -
**UPDATE** Save the Date: 2026 Oliver Rally at Lake Guntersville!
Patriot replied to Jason Essary's topic in Events & Rallies
Sept & Oct are very popular shoulder months for those of us who travel long distances. It will be interesting to hear what attendance will be like. We won’t be attending. -
Do all you can to take care of your existing windows much as possible. A friend just had Oliver replace one on his LE2 that a neighbors lawnmower shot a rock at. He was all in for $1000 including labor at Oliver😳. Oliver had to special order his replacement. And of course the neighbor denied any liability that his mower did the damage. When we roll in to a CG and if they are mowing we usually wait until they finish and the area is clear of weed eaters and mowers before set up. We have even nicely asked some CG’s to not mow or weed eat around our site until we depart. Surprisingly most owners are pretty cool and understand. Sounds like overkill I know…but beats the alternative of a big ding in the Oliver gelcoat or worse yet replacing a window.

Window frame is loose on the bottom
Patriot replied to John and Debbie's topic in General Discussion
John, Sorry to hear this news, and its the first I have heard of a window frame coming loose. Can you provide any photos? -
Like you, we really gave the 50GB a month “frugal” try, and quickly realized it was a no go for us while on extended trips. The unlimited roaming plan works best for us now and then we pause service when we arrive back home.

I am so glad I had the 5200# never lubes retrofit as well as the Alcan 5 leaf pack. Glad to see your positive review after 10,000 miles Mountainman198. A very worthwhile mod! 👍🏻🇺🇸👍🏻

@John and Debbie Pro tip 😊- A cheap HF moving blanket is nice to have to lay on while under the belly of the beast while greasing zerks or torquing running gear fasteners. I always carry one for this purpose. I carry several others to lay over my truck in the event of a hail storm. These blankets came in handy when we had rain and small hail at the last Oliver Rally. Here- https://www.harborfreight.com/search?q=furniture moving blankets I carry this also, my knees a grateful - https://www.harborfreight.com/foam-kneeling-pad-56572.html

The Starlink Mini is in sale right now for $299.00 and makes streaming a breeze. 😊 We also stayed at that same KOA when we got our Alcan leaf pack installed. We were glad to have the Mini and it worked great. Congrats on the Alcan’s! https://www.starlink.com/roam
