  1. @Rolind If you decide to roll with awesome dehumidifier that @Ollie-Haus recommends, here is the storage back hack I came up with. It’s a padded/insulated cooler bag from Buc-ees. The dehumidifier fits nice and snug down inside this bag and rides on the floor of our closet. So far all good. Just passing it forward. Great chatting the other day. Safe Travels, enjoy Western NC, and if you ever need anything while in Western NC, please don’t hesitate to reach out. When plugged in, my power source is a cube.
  2. Last night we had a super moon on Johnson Bay in Lubec, Me. You could almost read a book at dark it was that bright. Interestingly the tide was further out than we have ever seen it. A great night to grill! Local breakfast links Country Style boneless ribs Plated!
  3. @Galway Girl great pics, gotta love the fall time of the year with the colors popping! Might have to check out Lehman.
  4. @Ollie-Haus Hey Chris, Just reviving this thread on your great suggestion on the dehumidifier you recommended. So far 44 days in on our New England trip with Maine costal humidity fluctuating daily and it’s been a game changer 💯. Thanks for link and thank you for the suggestion.
  5. We have already enjoyed a full week here in Lubec, Maine. This evening we caught a quick pic of the Super Moon here on Johnson Bay while grilling seaside. Caught a photo of the Lobster boat unloading his catch today. I feel pretty sure this boat likely brought in the 🦞 in the above posts. Tonight’s our last night in Lubec, what a neat place this is to XPLOR!! Onward!! Super Moon. Boneless rib or country style ribs and local breakfast sausage. Morning fires start the day! Tide is way out in Johnson Bay. Here is a local Lubec Lobster boat unloading. Pretty cool to watch.
  6. Same here Mike! Agree, so many ways to deploy the mini. Out west where shade trees or trees in general are pretty scarce I never had any issues with obstructions. East coast camping we do have beautiful trees and shade in many of the mountain, lake and river side campsites. So the mobility of the Mini really works for us. We use picnic tables, my small grill table, or the top of my front storage box which also works. Just nothing permanent for our ever changing camping sites. 44 days in on this trip so far in the Great North Woods and still loving our Mini!! 😊 Onward!
  7. All neat and creative ideas on how to mount the mini. So far after 100 days and 12,000 miles travel and use of our Mini, I have yet determined a permanent mounting location that would allow the Mini to have a clear view north without obstructions. For now, I will stick with the plug it in and lay it on the table mount. 😄 I may still consider a flag pole mount, for now it just much easier to set up for an unobstructed and clear view north. 🤷‍♂️
  8. I think you will be glad you did. 👍🏻 We rarely use our Truma Aventa, but when we do it’s nice to be able to listen and talk to each other, talk on the phone, or listen to music. We rarely use our TV, but it’s nice to know we will be able to hear it now. We brought our old “Demonic” AC back home from Oliver and sold it to a guy who owns a food truck for $600. No more ear plugs.
  9. XPLOR…. Seaside. The CG we are staying at loans a large boiler pot and burner if you want to buy and boil your own lobster. Needless to say we were all in. Today the weather was yet again spectacular, mild breeze and full sun. So we scooped up 4 beauties fresh off he boat and got busy. 18 min in a hard rolling boil, this was the best lobster I have ever had. 🦞🇺🇸😋 Plenty left over for Lobsta rolls!
  10. Yesterday we left our base camp and took a little road trip north to Eastport, ME and had breakfast. There was a Norwegian cruise ship in port. We were fortunate enough to get to the local dinner before the mass of peeps began streaming off. Eastport is a neat little sea side town and well worth a visit. We then motored on to Calais, Me and briefly checked out the fair on Main Street. Then crossed over the border in Calais and drove to St Andrew’s, New Brunswick, Canada. 🇨🇦 A very cool little town with a really scenic water front. Lots of shops and a lot of restaurants. We spent about half the day there and would go back for sure. Late afternoon we returned back to base camp we were ready for dinner. I cheffed up blackened fresh scallops and bone in pork chops. The weather has been spectacular and the fall colors continue to pop! Eastport, ME. My bride could not resist..😄 The fresh scallops and blackened bone in chops really turned out great. 👨🏼‍🍳 We always say it’s not fresh seafood unless you can hear the waves crashing. View from our windows.
  11. Yep they listened….. and there is no longer a radio or 4 speakers in the 26 model. Just a Bluetooth speaker so you can stream your own tunes! Yesterday’s tech is tomorrow’s old newspaper. Stream On! 😄
  12. 💯 @Roger Enjoying a nice hot campfire, a beautiful sunset on the coast of somewhere beautiful, (looking across the bay at Canada 🇨🇦 and talking about the days adventures is what works us. We find the most beautiful sound is sometimes just silence.
  13. It’s a 12v Dometic for sure. I don’t have the model #. Here is a pic -
  14. We have used this system for several years and are very happy with it. I cannot imagine towing our Oliver without it. https://www.amazon.com/TST-507-TPMS-Cap-Sensors
  15. Looks familiar…😎
  16. @Against The Wind I would go right to the source and give Lithonics a quick call or better yet shoot them an email. I feel sure you will get accurate info from them. As for addling your screen name and TV. Just click on your screen name up in the right hand corner of this screen and go to account settings. Then click on signature and you can add your Hull #, and TV info and your state if you are inclined. Ask away we are here to help. 😊
  17. We like this place so much we extended for a week. If we were any closer to Johnson Bay we would be in the water 😄. We are looking at Canada. The waves crashing on the shoreline here make it pretty dreamy when drifting off to sleep with the windows open. Our Weber Q1200 busy with the beast. Plated..at 138d West Quoddy Light house which was freshly painted. It can be seen 20 miles out at sea. IMG_4206.mov
  18. I like it! Hahaha!
  19. @ScubaRx referenced an eBay link to purchase S/S lug nuts a few years ago. I ordered the same set he suggested and have been running them for a few years now, zero issues and no rust. Maybe he still has the link handy?
  20. Making our way north we landed a nice W/E site at Sunset Point, CG in Lubec, Maine. The sites here are all W/E and this little CG is located right on Johnson Bay. It’s a quiet little CG with 41 sites and Lubec is the furthest town east in the US. IMG_4180.mov IMG_4180.mov
  21. Yesterday it was a beautiful day in SW Harbor, Me and we decided to take a drive over and visit Hinckley Yacht. My sister was their Director of Marketing there for a number of years. Hinckley hand crafts really gorgeous yachts. It was neat to see a few of their beauty’s on dry dock for repairs and upkeep. IMG_4126.mov A little windy during this vid.
  22. We rarely ever watch TV, but have a Roku stick if we decide to. Our SL Mini has allowed us to stream anything we deem worth watching. Not sure why I have not removed our TV yet.
  23. XPLOR - It’s what we do with our Oliver in tow. Johnson Bay, Maine today.
  24. Camped in Ellsworth as we continue our trek north towards the border. Grilling with our trusty and seasoned Q1200. Still chilling in the beautiful coast of New England fall temps. Went by a “Provisions market” today and scooped up a few fresh cut bone in pork chops and some fresh scallops. Cajun blackened bone in chops and butter/garlic blackened scallops and a fresh salad were “Cheffed up” for lunch. Feeling very grateful for such a great meal. 👨🏼‍🍳 Gotta have a nice fire to warm our bones!
  25. That’s the one most Oliver owners opt to purchase.
