  1. A Bluetooth speaker hangs under the cabinet in the galley. No more radio/cd player. We already have a JBL Flip 6 in our Oliver. Great sound!
  2. Rear awning style egress/exit window. A shot of the gray and black tanks electric blade valve switches.
  3. The wet bath still has the frosted glass on the interior and black framed tilt out awning style tinted exterior window. Turn the little T handle to open and close. This is the same T handle for all awning windows. . Ext shot -
  4. The new Dometic 12v frig. It has an ok size freezer but overall still a smaller interior than our 3 way Norcold.
  5. We have a set and rarely use them. Fine quality, but heavy as a boat anchor! 😊
  6. The new induction cook top cools off quickly when turned off. This is because the heat is generated directly in the pan and not in the cook top itself. So as soon as the current is turned off the induction cook top will cool off immediately likely allowing for more prep space. I am pretty sure the former LP cook top will is no longer available when ordering a new Oliver. It is likely a whole lot cheaper in the assembly line to simply wire the induction CT and no issue with LP leaks. 🤔 That said, we sure like cooking with our LP! 🔥😊
  7. Had to stop at the brand new Buc-ees in Rockingham, Va today on our way to Pennslyvania. The brisket sandwiches are absolutely delicious! 😛 Surprisingly it was not slammed full of people. Gotta love hearing them announce Brisket on the Board!!! 😄
  8. Ollie in the wild! While making our way up to New England to enjoy the fall weather we landed a gem of a CG staying 6 nights at Stoney Fork Federal CG in the Jefferson National Forest. This is CG located near Wytheville, Va. We paid $16 per night electric only with my America the beautiful pass. This is a small CG with only 50 sites most of which are E only sites. We spent time in the Walker Valley and the Big Walker Mountain Lookout Tower. Our lowest temp at night was 46. Incredible sleeping weather and we never used our AC during our entire stay. There is something very special about the beauty Appalachian Mountains. While on a nice hike we found an old foundation with this write up on it. Quite a bit of history on this piece of land. We both enjoy excellent lunches prepared by the Amish women at the Walker Valley Market in Pearisburg, Va and then Burkes Garden, in Tazwell County. Ollie in the wild.. My bride enjoying a nice warm fire. Venison sausage….🤪 from woods to table. 🏹 200 steps to the top of this tower and yes was windy at the top. The beauty to behold at the top.. We won this sign at the 2024 Oliver Rally. Coy Gayle hand crafted it for us. It now travels with us everywhere we go. Thank you Coy for such a fine sign! 🇺🇸 Finally video from the top of the tower. My bride enjoying incredible views of her home state. IMG_3810.mov This is the historical write up we found at the old foundation we discovered on our hike. Rufus was quite the Bear hunter would be an understatement.
  9. Jd, Looking forward to your axle and spring install. If you post a pic of your Oliver with no wheels, axles or leaf springs I think that will be a first on the fourm. 😄 I look forward to see pics of your retro fit! Mod On!! 🤩
  10. 😄….🤷‍♂️
  11. We do sanitize our fresh tank seasonally but never drink from it. We use it for everything else, also big NO to CG water…nope, notta, never. @DaveAndBecky_NorthernMI give a great example of why we carry our own drinking water. Edit- Campground and SP water sources can be questionable at times and we just to err on the side of caution. Yep, I guess you can say we are great tasting clean water snobs here. 😂
  12. After packing our truck up this morning, going through our checklist, and getting ready to rollout on a trip, I thought about how useful these tool boxes have been on previous trips. I think I may have posted this a few years ago. So I pass this forward for the benefit of any new members with a Super Duty TV and the rear collapsible cargo tray. These three Craftsman tool boxes (link) fill the rear seat cargo basket just about perfectly and allow easy access to my tools. This mod does not allow use of the rear seat. https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-DIY-20-in-Red-Plastic-Lockable-Tool-Box/1000578365
  13. Mike, Gorgeous weather and really beautiful photos! A little threading the needle on your Oliver campsite. 😊 You and Carol look great and pretty relaxed. Nothing like high altitude camping! Thanks for the info on Crater Lake NP. I have added to our list. Safe Travels!
  14. I can’t think of a report on here or the FB Oliver page where an Oliver owner has even had a standard wheel bearing failure. That said, it never hurts to carry spares when practical and do regular maintenance. Anything to help owners sleep better and not be left flapping. Long live the Neverlubes! 😄
  15. Great write up and valuable information for the DYIer @jd1923. When I had Oliver Service swap my original axles out two years ago for the never lubes, I was told so far they had not seen or heard of a reported failure of the Never lube bearings on Olivers. At the time of my swap out, I believe there were over 200 trailers sold with the Neverlube bearings. None the less still always an inspection items along with the brake system. We can only hope these never lube bearings are never fail. 😊
  16. “One is none and two is one.” Like minded here Ron. My past years of military training and deployments have always kept me thinking contingencies. Better to have it and never need it than need it and not have it. As we use to say prepping for deployments, you don’t want to be left flapping. That is what’s great about the compact Mini, well done, nice pack and kit! 👍🏻
  17. Nice double duty doggie bag. The little battery power brick is a neat idea…but merely an illusion to being “off the cord”. You still need to charge that little dewalt at some point. Sorta like saying a Tesla or any EV never needs a coal powered or nuclear plant for energy. 🤔 It’s not about being fancy, it’s just that we all have different ways of doing what we do and attempt pass it forward to others here. I like taking care of all my gear especially sensitive electronics. Glad you found a cheap way to waterproof your battery.
  18. We love listening to Winwood…a great road trip tune.
  19. @Ronbrink Our local Ace HW did not have the cord holder like yours in stock. I found this at of all places our local “Wally World“ and picked up (2) for $3.97 each. They are fairly robust and will allow me to keep my cables buttoned up when not in use. They are the size I was looking for to fit in my HF case perfectly. Thanks again for the idea!
  20. Ron, Perfect! I will be headed over the my local ACE today. Thanks! David
  21. Hey John, It has solid reviews and will be easier to stow the cable than my present reel. Please up if this works with your tripod mount. Thanks!
  22. Mini cable wrap- https://shop.banthaoverland.com/products/starlink-mini-cable-wrap-81516?variant= I am considering this cable wrap to quickly deploy and store my SL cable. I like the cable cap protectors also, they are proud of them. The previous reels I purchased did not work as I had hoped. What is everyone using to reel up or store their Mini cable? I like to keep gear neat and buttoned up.
  23. That’s interesting Bill, we have not had that issue here at home or while on the road. 🤔
  24. Looking good Mike! Thanks for the field feedback on not needing the router. Perfect northern exposure and no obstruction is key! We had the same great reception last fall while out west, I see no need for the router for our use. Safe Travels!
  25. Haha! Wishful thinking. 😄 typo corrected!
