We rarely ever watch TV, but have a Roku stick if we decide to. Our SL Mini has allowed us to stream anything we deem worth watching. Not sure why I have not removed our TV yet.

Camped in Ellsworth as we continue our trek north towards the border. Grilling with our trusty and seasoned Q1200. Still chilling in the beautiful coast of New England fall temps. Went by a “Provisions market” today and scooped up a few fresh cut bone in pork chops and some fresh scallops. Cajun blackened bone in chops and butter/garlic blackened scallops and a fresh salad were “Cheffed up” for lunch. Feeling very grateful for such a great meal. 👨🏼🍳 Gotta have a nice fire to warm our bones!

That’s the one most Oliver owners opt to purchase.

As long as it’s stored next to the dairy drawer and not in the veggie drawer! 🤣

A torque wrench is also handy to have. 😊👍🏻 Tom, it appears you were very fortunate to have a nice flat surface to change out your tire! -
Changing tires in the wild - lessons learned

Tony, I and others on here have been running the 507 TST TPMS. I can’t speak for others, but our system has served us really well for the last 5.5 yrs in. TST I think is based out of Georgia and their customer service is nothing short of stellar. As @Mike and Carol mentioned it measures pressure and tire temp as well. I run the Discount tire rubber stems and have been happy very with this set up. Not to go down the rabbit hole on tire stems, but….metal stems can bend and leak on impact from road debris especially if off pavement. My guys at DCT did NOT recommend metal stems. It’s a personal choice. Go with what your happy with and works. As @topgun2 suggests get the 6 pack of stem cap monitors so you have a sensor for your spare and have an extra. The rubber mount that the TST dash monitor is cradled in works nice and keeps it from moving around on the dash. I use it all the time. For warranty reasons, TST requires you run the repeater which is an easy 12v hook up. I attached mine to the interior of the battery box with velcro. If you decide on this TPMS hit me up with a PM if you have any install questions. It’s pretty straight forward. Once you have your tire caps on and “synch up” with your charged up dash monitor, you are good to go. I think the battery is a 2032 which is installed in each tire sensor. I change these out once per year. This is amazon’s price, shop around you may find it cheaper. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FKTH136?tag=track-ect5-usa-1802408-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1 Safe Travels! -
6 years in we are still enjoying our Weber Q1200…scooped up these corn fed tenderloins locally in Booth Bay, Maine the other day. Super tender and full of flavor! They were so good we slipped back in a few days later and scooped up 4 more. Butter, garlic, our own NC home grown rosemary. Plate em up at 138D! 😋🤩🍽️👨🏼🍳

In the last 6 months we have shown our Oliver twice to prospective buyers. These showings were scheduled with us and the prospective buyers by Oliver Sales. After the showing a few weeks later we received a checks for $50 for each showing. If the prospects end up purchasing a new Oliver (completed signed contract) we will receive an additional $200 for each showing.

Nothing like new running gear Mike. Did Lew and crew add the heavy duty shackles and wet bolts? I had them face the new HD wet bolts inward to make it sooooo much easier to grease them.🤔 Congrats. Best 2.5 hrs of install labor we have ever spent on our Oliver. Safe Travels from The Great North Woods!

It’s always great to see another fiberglass towable. It will be interesting to see the final offerings of this camper. Wondering if it will have solar? Thanks for posting. Back to camping in the Great North Woods! The fall colors are beginning to really pop!! 🏕️😊

Even without any details of how this occurred, its clear Olivers are built pretty tough. Interesting to see that it appears that even the windows survived. Any other SOB stick built would likely be just a trailer frame left. 🤔 Our hopes are that no one was injured.

If you are ever in the area, do not miss out on the breakfast at the Sea Shop/Gull Diner right next to the Pemaquid Lighthouse. We had to try their blueberry short stack. The eggs Benedict and cornbeef hash was also excellent. Amazing eats for sure! We got to XPLOR one of the few sandy beaches on the coast of Maine. (Pemaquid Beach) We love the shoulder months for traveling. The large crowds are gone and it’s like having campground or beach all to ourselves. Peaceful and quiet. IMG_4072.mov

Lots to do here at Pemaquid Point. Yesterday we really enjoyed Pemaquid Point Light House on the Bay of Maine. We highly recommend a visit a if you ever camp here. We took the stairs to the top of of the light house…what a great view. The lens was a work or art and still warns mariners of the rocky coastline. It can be seen 14 miles from the shore line. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 We Patriots always love seeing Old Glory Flying. 🫡 🇺🇸🇺🇸 Maine flys the colors of our country everywhere. Just awesome to see. Cooler temps made is making this trip a really enjoyable. A frost advisory this morning. Loving the Great North Woods and everything about our stay. We broke out our long handle gear! A time to reflect. The tide was out and I caught this pic reflecting the light house while we hiked around rugged shoreline. Lunch was a Lobsta roll and a sampling of the local potatoe salad. 😋 A coastal view from the top of the light house. We watched this long lobster boat pull his traps along the coast line. We could actually see him pull the traps and check each lobster for legal size a toss back into he bay the ones that were not quite ready for harvest. The weather was perfect with 63 being our high and full sun. What a day! 🇺🇸 IMG_4020.mov

Bill, here is what AI says - AI Overview Dicor butyl tape, including the BT-1834-1 model, is made from a synthetic butyl rubber compound that is specifically designed not to dry out, harden, or become brittle over time. This longevity is a key feature of butyl tape, making it a reliable and durable sealant. In contrast to traditional putty tape, which can lose its integrity after just a few years, Dicor butyl tape maintains its flexibility and waterproof seal for decades. It is engineered to withstand UV rays and extreme temperature fluctuations without degrading. How butyl tape works Permanent pliability: Butyl tape remains soft and pliable and never cures or hardens like other types of sealants. Its permanent flexibility is what prevents it from cracking or breaking apart with movement or temperature changes. Weatherproof seal: Butyl tape provides an airtight and watertight barrier that can withstand heavy rain, cold winters, and direct sunlight. Long-term integrity: Because it does not rely on a chemical cure or drying process, a correctly installed butyl tape can last 20 years or more. A note on proper installation For Dicor butyl tape to last, proper installation is necessary. This includes cleaning the surface to remove all dust, grease, and moisture before application. For the best results, you should also apply pressure evenly to ensure the tape fills all gaps and forms a complete seal.

XPLOR in The Great North Woods. Nothing like New England in the fall of the year. Landed several nights at Pemaquid Point Campground in New Harbor, Me. https://www.pemaquidpointcampground.com/ Large sites and most if not all are W/E only. The fall foliage is slowly beginning to turn and the night temps are perfect sleeping weather. We would highly recommend this family owned CG. We always try and enjoy a nice campfire every evening. Tomorrow its will be time to sample some of the local fresh seafood. 😋 Lobsta!! 🦞🦞 rolls! Happy Travels! Large sites! Perfect northern exposure for our SL mini deployed on the table.

Incredible noisy AC, any solutions in sight.

@Nick and Linda Stratigakis We had the Truma retro fit done by Oliver Service a few years ago and really like how quiet and efficient our Truma Aventa is. To my knowledge, Oliver Service is the only place the Truma retro fit can be done due to the installation of the fiberglass base that the Truma is mounted on. The mounting foot print of the Truma is different than the “Demonic” deafening jet engine and requires this fiberglass work for the Truma to be mounted properly. The added fiberglass base Oliver installs is exactly like the same required fiberglass base used on a brand new Truma Aventa equipped Oliver. Oliver Service did a stellar job on our Truma install. I highly recommend the optional Truma Aventa control panel for anyone considering this mod. This panel controls both the Aqua go on demand hot water heater and serves as a back up to the AC remote should the remote ever fail. The Truma Aventa also uses the existing internal OEM condensate line which I preferred vs condensate water running off the roof of our Oliver. The Truma also has a night mode which also allows it to run really quiet while outside the camper. A quick call to Oliver service will get you an emailed quote if you go this route. Happy super quiet Truma owners here! -
We have the newer lighter weight Calmark cover and really are very happy with the fit and finish. We purchased it directly from Oliver and I would purchase again. I am not aware of any other cover that will custom fit an Oliver. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Maybe post up a link to the exact model Bauer lock you purchased. It would help others if they decide to purchase. 👍🏻

I use this and it works flawlessly. Super simple set up and dials XPLOR in dead level. Strong reviews and the price is reasonable. I would buy again without hesitation. I mounted it on the inside of the closet wall out of sight. @JMSpoff I still use air tags not as much for a security measure, but a recovery/tracking device. I have one buried deep in my Honda 3200i generator, TV and of course our Oliver. I replace the 2032 batteries yearly. See the attached link. I think I have only read about one theft of an Oliver Elite 1 during my time on this forum and the Oliver FB page. It was recovered pretty quickly from what I recall.

@Pat Radack We all started somewhere with regard to learning and towing our Ollies around the country. You can ask away and we will glad help you out. Not sure if you use social media such as F/B? Oliver has a great Oliver Owners FB page as which also a wealth of information. We still use our checklist when we set up and break camp and my bride and copilot truly is my second set of eyes!👀 Pro tip - Never be in a hurry when settling up or breaking camp and packing up. Take your time and it will become second nature. We are on the road right now headed to the Great North Woods! Enjoy that Oliver and go camping! 🍁 Patriot🇺🇸
