Bulb Seal (for under the awning) has been Ordered
Patriot replied to Wayfinder's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
From an observation stand point of watching how water flows when washing our Oliver, I would not recommend installing the EZ gutter above the awning seal. I honestly do not think you would be happy with this mod post install. If you install the bulb seal properly and it adheres well you should not have any side streaking. Also consider drilling your awning brackets to keep water from puddling. This made a huge difference after Oliver drilled ours out. My other thought on installing the gutter guard it will be a very tedious job to remove if you are not happy with it. Naturally debris falls from trees or leaves or pine needles dropping. I try to not park under pine trees or weeping trees when possible. We wash our Ollie regularly and as much as I don’t enjoy climbing ladders I try and keep this area clean and waxed. Patriot🇺🇸 -
@MobileJoy A quick google search - You could try ordering these. I would check your model numbers in any info you have for filters prior to ordering. Also shop around you may find a set for less dollars 💵 cabbage. here- https://www.rvonline.com.au/products/truma-filter-set-aventa Yikes this vendor seems to high. https://apollorvparts.com/products/truma-aventa-filter-set-pair Patriot🇺🇸

Maybe give a quick call to Mike Sharpe at Oliver Service, I feel sure he could assist you with ordering replacements. Or where you can order them? I don’t think Oliver stocks filters from the new Truma, great question! Patriot🇺🇸

If you contact Mike Sharpe or Jason Essary at Oliver Service they could assist you with providing a recommended RV Service Center in your area. Oliver in the past has been selective on what service centers they recommend to perform work on Olivers. For any fiberglass work I would highly recommend Oliver - just MHO. Please consider listing your Oliver Hull# and tow vehicle in your signature area IF you own an Oliver. As members we can assist you better with questions on maintenance or other questions. Welcome and Thanks! Patriot🇺🇸

What else could go wrong? 😅 Adapt and over come is the flavor of the day! Always try and have a back up plan. One is none and two is one! “Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong” into something that only YOU can do something about. You did well! Patriot🇺🇸 -
Noted..I will follow suit. Thank you for the reminder.👍🏻

Bulb Seal (for under the awning) has been Ordered
Patriot replied to Wayfinder's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
We had our bulb seal replaced by Oliver under warranty as it was not sealed to the roof properly. Oliver dropped the seal down a bit and drilled holes in the awning mounting brackets to allow water to drain quickly instead of puddle between the brackets. Now it works as it should. It does require up keep and periodic cleaning. Trade offs for sure. Patriot🇺🇸 -
I ordered a set of (4) AT’s from Amazon and I too am interested on how well the AT will track a vehicle or a camper etc. We’ll be leaving our Oliver at Oliver Service for a few days next week having the Truma Aventa AC installed. I will leave an AT in the Oliver to get an idea of how well it tracks it location. I am also going to place an AT inside our new Honda 3200i run it for awhile and see if it will hold up under the heat of the internal engine compartment. Apple says ATs will operate up to 140 degrees. We’ll see its survives or cooks. I will report back my findings in the next several weeks. Patriot🇺🇸

I saw that and like it but wondered if it could be modified to work with the Honda eu3200i? I am thinking it’s a no go given the specs. Maybe they will come out with one for the 3200i. I may reach out to the manufacture. Honda 2200i specs - 20.0" x 11.4" x 16.7" Honda 3200i specs - 22.5”x 12.0”x 17.8” Patriot🇺🇸

A concern I had with the use of Air Tags is would heat from running the gen have an impact on the AT performance? It appears Air Tags are ok from -4 up to 140 degree mark. Naturally you would not want the AT secured and hidden around the much hotter exhaust end of the gen. Air Tags are not considered anti-theft, merely a tracking device if an item should grow legs 🏃🏽. I don’t see us leaving our Ollie without our gen secured and out of sight. On the other hand, at $30 per AT with no monitoring fee this seems like a reasonable way to track items of high theft value. There is an easy hack to disable the (speaker) pinging feature of the AT so that the thief will not hear the ping. This audible pinging sound starts after 72 hr window has closed after the tracked item has gone missing. Even Mr. Magnus woof 🐕 as @MAX Burner mentioned. 😄 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0932QJ2JZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BZHLR988/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 https://support.apple.com/kb/SP840?locale=en_US Patriot🇺🇸

Thought this might be an interesting read for Oliver TT owners. This is quite an achievement especially helping folks who have might require or need this type of specialty tub. https://www.lewisherald.com/story/2023/04/20/news/oliver-fiberglass-celebrates-milestone-of-150000-safe-step-walk-in-tubs/6028.html Nice job Oliver!! JC, Welcome to the fourm. And good for you on forward thinking and planning your retirement years. Naturally only you and your financial planner can make the best informed decision on this next chapter in life. You will know when it’s time. If you are interested in an Oliver I would highly recommend you initially spend your time reading through Oliver University owners manual and watch the great “how to” videos developed by Oliver. Oliver University is a wealth of information and Oliver has gone to great lengths to produce the videos. Personally I think the videos are invaluable. I can assure you time spent reading on this forum and taking a deep dive in Oliver University will put you in a really better place should you decide to place an order. Oliver also offers factory tours if you’re ever in Hohenwald, Tenn. The tours are awesome! You can also contact Oliver and they will help arrange a showing of an Oliver by a local owner in your area. Many owners are more than willing to spend time with you to show and tell their Oliver. Here is a link to get you started -https://olivertraveltrailers.com/oliver-university/ Most of all have fun on here, ask questions, we are all glad to help. Patriot🇺🇸 -
Thanks Mossey, I will have to try that technique. I use to be able to do the “Hokey Pokey” so maybe I can just run my left arm through, pick up that cover with my right arm, turn myself around and set that cover down. 😅

@Ollie-Haus @MAX Burner Actually this is in the running with fairly solid reviews - https://www.amazon.com/Vulcan-Brands-Premium-Hardened-Security/dp/B06WLNVMNT/ref=sxin_16_sbv_search_btf?content-id=amzn1.sym.b000e0a0-9e93-480f-bf78-a83c8136dfcb%3Aamzn1.sym.b000e0a0-9e93-480f-bf78-a83c8136dfcb&crid=RWZM421FJ0JF&cv_ct_cx=high%2Bsecurity%2Bchain%2Bsquare%2Blink&keywords=high%2Bsecurity%2Bchain%2Bsquare%2Blink&pd_rd_i=B06WLNVMNT&pd_rd_r=a975d1c9-567d-4b64-9903-5caa26e7c8af&pd_rd_w=fQfuq&pd_rd_wg=q8LNv&pf_rd_p=b000e0a0-9e93-480f-bf78-a83c8136dfcb&pf_rd_r=S43ZGPFBVK5D7QQNDEP6&qid=1682590865&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sprefix=High%2Bsecurity%2Bchain%2Caps%2C100&sr=1-1-5190daf0-67e3-427c-bea6-c72c1df98776&th=1 Naturally if some thief wants it bad enough, well I suppose they will figure out a way. The only time I use this port is when I turn on or turn off my LP tanks. Naturally this could also be done by just removing the dog house cover. Patriot🇺🇸

Due to its light weight and portability it won’t be riding in the cargo basket while under way. Yes it will be locked down and secured away from prying eyes during travel.
-
Thanks Max, yes it will surely run the Truma, and keep bats topped off for sure. Right now our solar does a great job with our AGMs. 👍🏻 Patriot🇺🇸

@SeaDawg Ha! Thank you for positive response and we look forward to putting the 3200i through its paces. I hope to post up Ollie interior decibel ratings soon. You are spot on, Honda gear rocks! A little more important info - Patriot🇺🇸

⚡️⚡️⚡️Today we gotta a call from our local Northern Tool store and learned that our Honda EU3200i had arrived from the warehouse in SC a week early. Yay! So we brought it home and topped it off with fresh oil, non-ethanol stabil treated gas and it fired right up. A game changer being whisper quiet, light weight, and has all the power we need to run the new 13500 BTU Truma Aventa we are having installed in two weeks by Oliver. I really like the My Honda Bluetooth iPhone app, pretty cool timely tech. Its an easy lift and fits nicely in the Oliver cargo basket and at 60# which is half the weight of our Tri fuel Honda EU3000is. As mentioned in an early post, I plan on retrofitting this with the www.Hutchmountain.com LP conversion kit when it becomes available. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Onward! Patriot🇺🇸

For gen users who prefer not to carry a smelly dangerous highly flammable gas can in the rear of their TV, (me) here’s another much cleaner burning EU3200i LP option. Just connect to your Ollie’s LP QC and power on.⚡️ ⚡️ https://genconnexdirect.net/honda_propane_modified_generators.htm#xl_EU3200i1 Patriot🇺🇸

@RustyMD If you don’t have success with fixing it, submit a warranty work ticket for a replacement. Oliver is excellent about getting replacement parts out fast in my experience. I have typically only waited 3-4 business days maximum for a replacement part for example (touch lights) after the work ticket is processed and the item is shipped. I suggest consider registering here for warranty claims or even if you’re out of warranty and need a replacement part. Your claim is opened and tracked and you also will be notified by email when your replacement part ships. https://support.olivertraveltrailers.com/portal/en/signin Patriot🇺🇸
