So, Susan Huff, you have me intrigued. I haven't (yet) found any info on true stow and go seats (that fold into the floor) in any Ram. I did find a photo of flat fold rear seats in a 2500 mega cab only, on a Ram forum. Is this what your relative's seats look like, or do they actually collapse into the floor like the Dodge van and Pacifica stow and go seats? The true stow and go is a neat feature in my sister-in-law's van, as the back becomes a real storage cave. Sherry First photo is of the flat fold mega cab 2500 ram Second is a stow and go dodge van

That's interesting. I haven't seen that in the Ram pickups. My sister in law and my niece have the stow and go that fold flat into the floor in their minivans. Our 2008 ram has flip up rear seats, and a fold down platform to make the remaining space totally flat. And, it's a 60/40 split, so the dog can have her spot, and cargo can have the rest. Works for us, though I think the stowaway and go seats in my sil's van are more comfortable than our 2008 rear seats. But, our dog has never complained. 😁

So, Corvus, how did you fix it? Or do you still get the same sound?

Standard vs Electronic Door Lock
SeaDawg replied to Ray and Susan Huff's topic in General Discussion
I haven't found one, yet. If you find one, I hope you'll share it. I can open or lock my home or garage from my phone from anywhere, or the keypad in person, which is really nice. Dead lock battery? That's why there will always be a spare key stashed in the truck. At home, all the batteries won't die at one time. But, with one door to the trailer, it's a definite consideration. If we ever get a keyless entry, I'll follow our usual pattern of refreshing all important batteries at the first trip of the year. Use the originals in spare flashlights til they die. Sherry -
I've honestly not heard anything like that, in 12 years. Did you have a big difference in elevation or temperature, day to night? Weather conditions? If I hear noise on the roof, it's usually tiny hail or sleet. I'd check the ac shroud, and ac mounting bolts, first. Probably.

Parkervet, what's your battery level? Are you plugged in? Our jacks won't operate if the voltage on the battery is too low. They might start, then quit. Fuse? Bad ground? Sherry

Standard vs Electronic Door Lock
SeaDawg replied to Ray and Susan Huff's topic in General Discussion
I wish we did, too. One less key to carry. I love my electronic locks at home. I thought about that last trip. We were getting in the truck when I remembered I'd left my trailer keys on the dining room table. 😧 Paul keeps a spare stashed in the truck, but it requires moving a lot of stuff to get to it. I wish someone would create an RV lock that worked off my phone instead of a fob, though. Sherry -
Years ago, we painted a line on our Jacks so I could see where to stop them before the click clack noise .

All jokes aside, this Murphy looks like a really interesting ladder to carry.

Totally agree, Mike. My phone fails me occasionally, but not as often as factory nav in relatively rental cars.

Many of us are from the same generation, or older. 🙂 I personally like the tech, and was seriously disappointed when I drove another brand last year. Especially when it comes to safety tech that will someday (soon) be mandated. My daily driver Silverado truck is 15 years old, and still runs and looks great, so I understand your concern. But, it rarely goes out of the county, or over 45 mph. When I finally give it up my stepside, it will be for a safer product. With much more tech.

Great commercial !

I'll add this caveat, but check with your own cpa. We were told that you could only take the credit on one "home" on a year. So, if you're adding solar to your sticks and bricks home in the same year, don't count on a credit for the trailer. Otherwise, second home. Bathroom and sleeping facilities. Sticks and bricks, trailer, motorhome, boat.

Probably no worries. Especially in the 50s. Similarly powered engine and car towed Lucy and Desi's long, long trailer. 😅 Same v8 engines used in trucks and cars, often. But then, cars were heavy, and gas was cheap. Remember when? Gas war... 17.9 the week I got my first car. Almost half price. Lol. Just a few years later, gas stations had to find a way to add a dollar in front of the cents. Mainiac, you made my day. Sending a screenshot to my old friend. She lives in Sweden, now. Sherry

Is that a 54?💓 My best friend in high school and I had the best of times cruising in her 57. Until the brakes failed, and the neighborhood grocery inadvertantly became a drive-thru. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Where is that photo from? Looks like a fabric wire wrap around excessive cable. Imo.

My husband got used to it. Tablets and laptops use far less power than TVs. But, if you keep the tv, I'd probably just use velcro and a valance on a thin vinyl batten, rather than a tension rod. You'll be fighting with that tension rod forever.

Susan, I thought of you yesterday when I ran across this generator on Costco . Com. It's an upgraded version of the ai2000 inverter generator my sister bought a few years ago, now has the Yamaha 79cc engine, 2300 watts, 1800 running. 52 db. Quite a few features for $499, free shipping. At 51 pounds, it's not a featherweight, but manageable, especially since it comes with wheels. Unlike the Yamaha 2400, this can be run in parallel with a twin, which would be useful for home use as emergency backup power. What it's missing: no RV plug, but it does have a nema 30 amp, and comes with an rv plug adaptor. Only one carry handle, so harder for two people to share the load if carrying between you. 2300 surge instead of 2400. No, it's not a true Yamaha product, but with Costco's return policy, I wouldn't be hesitant. Costco must have it made in the blue jacket for them, because I found the same generator in red and grey on several other sites, varying prices. The red jacket is on sale at samsclub for about $50 less, $17 shipping if you're not a plus member. Non member price the same as costco .com. I read through a bunch of reviews, and a number of people said it would not run their ac. None of them mentioned whether or not they had a soft start installed in their ac units. Sherry

I missed that. And, it's disappointing.

There's a lot to like about this truck, from first glance. I hope the climate control system runs off that big battery, allowing rest breaks with the fold down seats to be emissions- free and quiet. I'm looking forward to seeing more details as they emerge. Sherry

There's a lithium battery company in Grand Forks that I've been looking at lately, Dakota Lithium. Factory in North Dakota, and an office in Seattle. They discount for pre-order and bulk purchase (2 +), and offer an 11 year warranty. In business since 2004. https://dakotalithium.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjw_-D3BRBIEiwAjVMy7OcTsd8O-dRXtIODk__7xfORms8Oac4l32e867tTKY5Ww4CD24nexBoCzmYQAvD_BwE You may think the guy in technical support in this video looks a bit like he could live in Canada. Grand Forks is less than 150 miles south of Winnipeg. 😁 Sherry

Toojennifer, This thread shows some modifications that various owners have made to increase storage. Maybe it will help. In the cabinet my husband and I built after we removed the microwave, I bought an inexpensive expandable wire shelf (on its own legs) to give me two levels in the big cabinet. It really helps, and cost around 8 or 10 dollars. Sherry
