1. The only time I've had trouble with propane is when I've turned the valve to open it too fast. Once I bought the GenConnex kit for my generator, their instructions explicitly state not to open it too fast, I never knew, I haven't had a problem since. Maybe you just overwhelmed the pressure switch is my guess.
2. Maybe instead of individual threads, an ongoing list of potential vehicles would be an easier search for future use. I'll start. https://www.rivian.com 11,000lbs the rating 1700lbs payload Up to 400 mile range [attachment file=Rivian Pick-up.jpg]
3. Hi Dave, a big welcome to you and your family, to the Oliver family. Being up in New Hampshire I understand your concern with the overhead canopy, but having the standard Oliver setup, for every moment your not parked under it, can easily make it worth it and just supplementing it with a portable system. Having everything completely topped off when we arrive anywhere is a beautiful thing, I know it should charge from the truck connection but I wouldn't want to rely on that and we usually arrive later in the day and have a larger bit of usage that first night during setup and with a portable only wouldn't be able to get anything good until the next day. If it's cost or weight or anything like that, maybe have them install a "lite" system up top, just for keeping the batteries topped off and maintained and then your off trailer system could be your main, kind of a reverse system from what most do.
4. I wouldn't buy anything until I had the trailer connected and the lid installed and measured it all out. Looking at Johns picture of his attached, that lid will be right about at the height of the top of the propane housing and if it only extends 12" past the tailgate you would need to be in a serious turn situation to contact it. Just my opinion
5. Or you could turn off the water when the phone rang, and then turn it back on when your off the phone and paying attention. God forbid, imagine if you got bad news on that phone call and had to run to the hospital, because of it, the trailer would fill until it got to the open vent in the head, cause it's open to prevent condensation, then it would run outside and you could flood the whole neighborhood until you ran the aquifer dry and completely ruined the water table destabilizing the tectonic plates and finally causing the great earthquake that causes California to disappear. Maybe the next time you are going to rinse out your unused black tank you should let Reed and Karen know, so they can move inland.. Don't you have a composting head? ; )
6. Yet another German designed concept trailer. https://www.curbed.com/2018/8/27/17786774/camper-trailer-rv-caravan-buerstner-harmony-3?fbclid=IwAR317GK5ml8TLAtS5UQLHvvAWmGzYfLtUPfTTj6XVUOxK0ZcNfw0LWiCbI4
7. Not Bill, but yup, love this bike. http://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/how-are-you-transporting-bicycles/page/4/#post-146620 For those who think it's cheating https://blog.radpowerbikes.com/olympic-athlete-stacey-cook-electric-bike-spotlight
8. It seems they were observed by many.
9. While I don't have one, it seems like it should be a good one, looking at etrailer it is rated 5 stars with more than 500 reviews. My only opinion is that, where I only tow one trailer, a multi ball hitch is just more mass and weight, that I don't need
10. Go longer, measure the rod from bottom corner of window to top corner, so it sits at an angle, this way it only slides down when the window is closed. The rod doesn't need to be so large it won't fit within the track to be effective.
11. The original owner of my unit, had a February delivery and was going to Pennsylvania with it, he was delayed almost week because of an ice storm where the factory parking lots were impassible. Just be prepared to be flexible with your timeframes and travel plans. On the other hand, the Farmers Almanac says it’s supposed to be a milder winter.
12. Please correct me if I'm wrong, please, you seem to be lacking a few people skills, hopefully it's just the way I'm reading it, you posed the question, others try to respond to be helpful with what they've experienced and seen based on what they have and what they have found. You get snippy and clarify that you only want, other people, to provide information if they're talking about 1 specific truck and then state that you are tired of doing research for others while everyone else is doing just that for you. Backofbeyond quotes "Rumline – Exactly. I was mislead by the OEM websites and brochures on payloads." Trying to help you out *you know* "experienced advice I’m supposed to rely on” You then post you have the real numbers because you had a trustworthy salesman send you a sheet, as was stated earlier, the only numbers that matter are what is on the door post. The "real" numbers you have are the brochure numbers I guess you can lead a horse to water...
13. Starting in the Southwest corner, Snow Canyon SP, stayed there a couple years ago, midsummer 110° temps, you can do full hookups or one of the outlier spots with nothing, look from Google satellite. It's just west of St George and the rocks and overall area is great for exploring. It was interesting, on one of our walks, we saw, at a very long distance, telephoto lens, a local "dragon" lizard thing, I don't remember what it was called, when we were explaining/asking the park ranger about it she said we must have been mistaken about what we were describing, so I showed her the video of what I'd captured after which she asked for a copy because they had never had any record of them behaving like that and wanted to forward it all the way up the chain for their research.
14. For long travels I like to keep my fat tire EBike inside, for short trips it can ride in the isle, once stationary it lives in the back of the truck. No racks.
15. Whereas all the business of these trailers happens between hulls, while nowhere near as pretty, I actually prefer the old style build of the kitchen drawers where the back is almost completely open. With those new cabinets, if getting to the rear area is needed those Kreg screws will never come out, once the cabinet is installed. I would prefer that they had the cabinets made with the assembly hardware accessible from the inside. As an example, the propane line runs up the back wall behind the right side drawers, completely enclosed back panel, the water lines run along the floor behind the whole cabinet and the fridge outlet tends to sit on the floor on the left side. For structural integrity, I would much rather see 3- 2" strips, one at the bottom, top and middle and one across the top rear too. The only time anyone will ever see that back area is when they NEED to, and by the time they're done with it, pretty won't count anymore

17. From reading through various things, it seems the only usual regret from those that have left was that they upgraded to a larger trailer, not actually having been prepared for the realistic size of the fiberglass trailers after being overwhelmed with the quality. Most who ended up here, had been looking at Airstreams, as there is no denying their beauty, both to look at and to look out of (all the windows), they just fail in every other aspect. In my personal opinion the quad hull design of the Oliver is what makes it a completely justified purchase, even at today's prices. I prefer the easy to clean "antiseptic" (as some have said to describe it) layout and feel of the Oliver, so many trailers still being built today give the feeling of a 70's apartment with shag carpeting and green, yellow and orange appliances.
18. I understand the covers, but do you spray you regular vehicle tires with the UV stuff too? Also, I know I've always read that trailer tires, that being ST tires as used in mass produced low quality trailers and Airstreams until a couple years ago, came with the 5 year rule/recommendation, the Oliver tires being "real" LT truck tires, is it believed to still apply, again is this something you adhere to with your normal driving vehicles too? Well wasn't this a timely stumble across http://www.airforums.com/forums/f240/tire-covers-or-303-uv-protectant-185749.html
19. It came with two awnings, so it came with two handles, so Oliver installed two holders. I've/we've only used both once, when the wind kicked up. I have, at times when I don't plan to have it out long, left it hanging, but not so as to not both at once (I can only work one at a time anyway)
20. Original look New look Looking out (heavy duty pet screens)
21. John, thanks for posting this, I ordered one as soon as I looked at it from your post, it does exactly what I wanted one to do. I wanted the up down, rather than side to side, leaving it open about 4" at the top is perfect. The old window, black glass white frame, doesn't look that much different, just a slightly larger black area now. You would not be able to reuse the old white exterior frame, the depth dimension of the glass is a ½" different, so the interior piece would not be able to sit flush on the door. Looks great as is though.
22. View from the rear looking to the front. Rear of tank even with rear wheel goes forward to the door. Weight will increase slightly, little more tongue weight is good.

24. The two "real" brands are, Telesteps and Xtend and Climb, mostly all others are cheap knockoffs with questionable safety. There is a YouTube video comparing different models and safety.
25. Being so narrow, I have yet to find any need to actually be on the roof, it's all easily reachable from a leaned ladder. While the honeycomb fiberglass has some strength it is not endless and be very careful near any curved surfaces.
