  1. We have camped there multiple times over the years; it is a really nice campground. The camp sites are level and very easy to back into them; I think there are a few pull thru sites. Last spring we were in site 11; I recommend you try and reserve a site, they fill up fast. Most all of the sites are great including very clean restrooms and showers. The entrance road is not that steep, you will not have any issues getting into the campground.
  2. I had the metal stems replaced when I installed TPMS; so you did not replace the metal stems when you replaced the tires with new metal stems?
  3. Did Discount Tire replace the valve steams with metal steams? I will be replacing our BF Goodrich tires with Cooper Discoverer HHT3 tires; obtained prices from Discount Tire a few days ago. When I asked about using metal valve steams and wanted to see them, they said it was a special order.
  4. Walter: Thank you for the information; do you know why Oliver has switch from Trojan batteries to the Bright Way?
  5. Walter: Where are you purchasing the Bright Way Group EVGC6 - 6V 220AH batteries from? So far my Trojan T105's wet cells are still hanging in. Thanks
  6. If you have a NAPA auto parts store near you, they stock the metal valve steams.
  7. When Our Oliver Elite II was delivered to us no brake wires were attached. The wires were just hanging down under the trailer not attached to anything; also the wire coming from the tow vehicle was just hanging under the trailer. It just proves when picking up a new trailer, you need to check everything (craw under the trailer and have Oliver provide a ladder so you can get up on the roof to check out things.
  8. Bill: were the mounting holes on the new battery tray the same as the old tray? Nice looking installation; what brand of group 27 AGM batteries are you using?
  9. It is a DOT requirement to not fuse the wire leading to the break away switch.
  10. RideandFly: your replacement tray sure looks like it is a better constructed tray than the original. When I replaced my battery tray a couple years ago it was the same replacement tray as the original. Are you going to remain with the AGM batteries or upgrade to the lithium? Currently my Torjan T105 wet cells are in great shape; I have no plans to upgrade to the lithium; at the present time there are to many issues with the lithium.
  11. Dan and Theresa welcome from a Virginia Oliver TT owner, we enjoy traveling in Colorado, it's a lovely state.
  12. As for the sewer hose, I carry one 10 foot and one 15 foot the two can be coupled together if necessary; I have never needed any additional lengths. The fresh water hose I carry one 25 foot, one 10 foot and one 5 foot plus a water filter. Most of the time the 10 foot is all that is needed. I also carry one 50 foot flex green hose for the black tank flush.
  13. On our 2015 Elite II Hull #93 eight self drilling screws were used to secure the tray to fiberglass, but no rivets. The four longer self drilling screws in Bill's picture are towards the rear of the battery box and the four short self drilling screws were installed toward the opening of the battery box. All eight screws has a aluminum plate under the battery box so the screws had something other than fiberglass for attachment. When I installed the new tray I used four long 1/4" - 20 SS machine screws with SS fender washers and nylon locking nuts; for the rear screws. You can get your hand into the area under the battery box to installed the fender washers and nuts. The four screws towards the opening of the battery box you can not get your hand into that area; so I used four of the same type screws in SS and larger fender washers, so far no issue with the mounting. I have attached a couple of pictures; first is the original battery tray with it's original screws used to mount it; the second picture is the replacement battery tray and the screws I used for mounting.
  14. Our unit did the same thing after 4.5 years; we purchased a replacement unit and it says on the unit to replace in 5 years after placed in service.
  15. We picked up our 2015 Oliver Elite II on September 2, 2015, at the time we were using a Toyota Sequoia with the 4.7 engine. In a few months we sold the Sequoia and purchased a 2016 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 engine; this truck has no issues of pulling the Oliver where ever you want to travel. I have been pulling travel trailers for over 50 years through out this country. It appears lots of people like to push ¾ ton with diesel engines. I owned a ¾ ton Chevy diesel one time and it dumped us many time hundreds of miles from home; I would not own another diesel. However I do own a diesel tractor which has given me great service for over 20 years. My 2016 Toyota Tundra Crew Max Deluxe gets around 12 -13 MPG pulling the Oliver and around 10 MPG in the higher mountains. I never have seen any temperature issues when towing at any elevation. We use an Anderson WDH and it takes only a few minutes to connect or disconnect. When I first purchased the Tundra I had an additional rear spring added to each side. The Tundra and Oliver are just about level (the Oliver is ¼ inch high at the tongue); with both the Oliver and Tundra loaded for travel. Our Tundra has a fiberglass cap over the bed to keep things out of sight and dry. We only carry some tools, chairs, a BBQ grill, cooler and a tub with lego blocks and chocks. At times we carry a Honda E2000i generator on the rear of the Oliver in a custom made carrier. We have been through CAT Scales several times to check the weight and everything is within limits. We only try to carry what is necessary, not the kitchen zinc.
  16. The drilling was doing before installing the tray; but it could be drilled while still installed. Like you said just use a block of wood to prevent any damage during drilling.
  17. Bill: When I replaced the battery tray, I added a device to prevent the tray from moving at all. It only takes a few minutes to remove when servicing the batteries. You might want to do something like this while you have the tray removed.
  18. Bill: Our original battery tray looked the same as your's with the rivets head on the outside. In 2017 we had to replace the battery tray due to all the slide bearings came out plus other damage to the slides themselves. The replacement tray came from Oliver and looks just like the picture in JD's reply; with the rivet heads on the inside where the batteries are located. Our 2015 Elite II we opted for the four Trojan T105 wet cells, I keep a monthly check on the batteries and they are doing great, hopefully a couple more years of use from them before replacement.
  19. The clear coating I used is a spray. The name of the product is "Silicone Modified Conformal Coating" made by MG Chemicals.
  20. I agree that it is moisture related; when it is warm in the cabin and colder outside that’s when the condensation forms and drops beads of water down on the circuit board and other electrical parts. When ours failed the first time the lid lift motor kept driving until major damage was done to everything before I could pull the fuse. This time I just coated the replacement circuit board multiple times hopefully to prevent this issue in the future. I also installed a power on/off toggle switch, so if this happens again, the power can be killed very quickly. I just leave the switch in the off position until the MaxxFan is needed. When I have had issues in the past the remote or key board switches would not do anything. I have weep holes all around to drain any pooling water that may form from the condensation. It would be nice to have some way to prevent the condensation from forming in the first place.
  21. The 7 wire cable from the tow vehicle come into the trailer and can be reach under the front dinette seat and no terminal blocks just butt connecting wires headed to the rear.
  22. More than likely your problem will reappear; my did the same, it started working after the power was off for a few days but it did not last but a few weeks. It had lots of problems, it was cheaper to replace the complete unit. In October 2020 I had to replace the circuit board which was under warranty. I coated the replacement circuit board multiple time with a clear circuit board coating. MaxxFan said just trash the defective board, they did not want it back. So I was able to repair it and appears to be working correctly on the work bench; I also coated the repaired board after the testing was done.
  23. Bill, I have had this same type of call from someone saying they were calling from Amazon; I have never ordered anything from Amazon or don't even have an account with them.
  24. Welcome to the Oliver forum, we are just a few miles south of you on the Chesapeake Bay. You will have no issues with your Tundra pulling an Elite II. We have been camping for 53 years and have pulled travel trailers all over this country and enjoyed every trip.
  25. We were having the same problem shortly after delivery so we just place a drop of caulk on each lower window clip only; this will solve the problem.
