For potential buyers, I encourage you to call the sales team with specific questions. It’s okay to ask here, but you may or may not get the right answer, depending on who responds. The sales team will have the latest information. Mike

The point I was trying to make is that installing an outlet isn’t difficult and shouldn’t be a deal breaker. Encouraging folks not to buy an Oliver isn’t my thing, I understand the market. I’ll try to be more clear with my “tongue in cheek” comments.

I don’t think chastising folks who have just entered the market for a new trailer is helpful, 2020 is their only choice. Putting that aside, if placement of electrical outlets is an essential feature for someone then they might want to look elsewhere. I don’t know what the current options are for additional outlets, but like Steve said, it’s not rocket science to put one in. We had a USB outlet installed in our nightstand and it took About 5 minutes. The smart thing to do is call the Oliver sales team and ask. Mike

Regardless of make and model I don’t think Oliver would install 110V entertainment systems that you couldn’t run while boondocking except through an optional inverter.

Mike, yes, indeed, we will make a transfer of that piece of hardware. I know of several others that will still go, so we can have an informal Oliver gathering. Safely, of course! Mike

Looks great, it’s nice to be able to differentiate trailers by their unique graphics! Mike

Thanks for the heads up, Matt. Disappointed but not surprised. We’re going to keep our reservations and enjoy a quiet weekend hopefully seeing some Oliver friends who also will still go camping that weekend at Lake Guntersville. Mike

Hey Jordan, welcome to the forum. Lot’s of smart people here very willing to share knowledge and experiences. It would be worthwhile to try and see an Elite II in person. Mike

Sitting around the factory is a good point. We left ours for a week to get the Dexter installed and some other things. When we picked it up there was some dust inside, I think just having the door open all the time for several days inside the factory will lead to dust. So, they must have done a good cleaning job before we picked up.
-
I’m surprised too. No dust in ours when we picked up. It was clean and shiny. We do regular cleaning with glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth, but dust has not been a problem.

Shreds of Plastic in Water Pump Filter

Agree. It’s a known issue and not difficult to remedy. It’s been discussed here a lot. Something that should be “cleaned up” before delivery. Mike- 25 replies

Good interview. I think they’ve done a good job with the new Bronco. Not all retro’s work well or last long. The new MINI Cooper has been fairly successful since it came out in 2002. I owned a 2002 and a 2006. The second gen that came out in 2007 started the growing in size trend, but it’s stayed fairly true to its “mini” name. Both the Mazda Miata/MX5 and the Porsche 911 have stayed fairly consistent with their original forms, just updated over the years. The original Bronco steadily grew bigger over the years. My hope is the new Bronco will stay consistent like the Wrangler has. Mike My 2002 Cooper S. My 2006 Cooper S.

I had an issue with the toilet having a very slow water flow. Cleaned out the connector hose behind it and problem solved. Mike- 25 replies

We love our brisket, too. I usually smoke a big one on my Primo smoker once a month or so. We freeze what we don’t eat or give away. I’ve got plenty to take with us on our trip to Colorado next week! I usually smoke at 225-250 degrees and then cover with foil at about 8 hours. Then I keep it on the smoker until internal temperature is between 190 and 195. Yum! Mike

We developed a deluxe version of this.... I put a command hook just below the closet latch toward the middle of the door. We also hang a walmart or supermarket bag. It’s not in the way and gets replace almost daily.

Same here. The map is on our Oliver (inside front door), so when we’ve spent a night camping in a state in our Oliver then we fill it in. Just passing through doesn’t count. Spending the night in a Hampton Inn some other time doesn’t count either.

The Saab 900 came out in 1979, we were living in Germany. I bought one of the first 900 Turbo’s, black with the Inca wheels. Thought I was pretty cool. It did well on the autobahn. We kept it until sometime in the 90’s, it turned out to be a nice car to own for the long run and over 100K miles. Sorry for the hijack. Back to chrome bands and VHB tape. 🤓 Mike

Kevin, welcome to the group! The Smiths are great folks and I’m glad their trailer went to Oliver enthusiasts. Mike -
Another Topgun fishing adventure... glad to know he’s pulling ‘em in! Mike

That’s the one we have. Plenty of room for 2 or more. It’s an outdoor living room!

Yep, I’m not in the market but it is still fun to watch and learn about new features. Ford doesn’t seem to be treating this as just another model but instead a lifestyle vehicle (not so much with the Sport). It’s interesting to see what you can get from the factory and the long list of add-ons. It would be good to see some more tech specs and capacities.

I like it.

I’ve been following the “hype” on the new Bronco. Sound like Ford wants to make it a serious competitor to Jeep. I’ll probably never own one, but I like new vehicle debuts. I owned a couple of Rangers and a couple of Tacomas, it’s a nice size (except for towing). It will be nice to have a new off road option. Mike

I don’t think I have any rust, but will check tomorrow! Thanks for letting us know, something to check and know about. Mike
