  1. After reading recent comments, I'm totally confused. The label on our 2022 LE2 says D52 Capacity, 3,500. What does this mean? Do I have 3,500 Axel's or is this rating actually 5,200?
  2. There seems to be some confusion on the axel weights. ScubaRX posted 2022 LE2 and newer have 5200 Axel's. The Axel's on our #1045, 2022 LE2 have 3500 on the label. RichDev has a 2023 and the label on his axel says 3,500. There seems to be a disconnect on what the newer Axel's are.
  3. Mine have to be 3,500 on our 2022 as well. I will check under the trailer to confirm. Thank you for getting to the bottom of this👍 Updated: Confirmed 3,500 on our 2022
  4. Then mine must be 3,500 on our 2022 LE2
  5. According to ScubaRX, starting with the 2022 trailers the Axel's are 5,200.
  6. I may have missed this, but I'm guessing that those that have recently purchased the new Alcan 5-leaf springs will be putting them on older trailers with 3,500 Axel's, versus the 2022 -2024 and 5,200 Axel's. Did this come up in conversations with Alcan? What difference do you think there will be in the stiffness/ ride? A 3,000 spring X 4 = 12,000 on a 3,500 axel vs A 3,000 spring X 4 = 12,000 on a 5,200 axel
  7. Thanks for doing this. 👍
  8. Thanks. Another good post. With a 2022, recent inspection by Oliver, and our truck place looking when doing the zerks, we are keeping an eye on things before we switch. We run our tires at 55 lbs. Someone posted about running at 45 lbs. I might drop ours to 50 lbs.
  9. Congrats and welcome to the group.
  10. Last March we had an issue with our Norcold fridge in our 2022 LE2. We were in Galveston. Contacted an approved Norcold Mobile RV guy. He came out and test the Fridge and found the AC heating element had failed. Had to wait until we got home to get it replaced under warranty. We used DC and propane for the rest of the trip He inspected the top vent and found slit opening in the insulation on the backside of the fridge. He told me that should not have been open and sealed it with aluminium tape. We have had zero issues. I'm guessing Steve has the Dometic fridge. I don't remember what year he has.
  11. This post is for Wandering Sagebrush who is traveling in Mexico and can only text. He asked me to post this. He believes the original owner taped the backside closed and the fan is between the fridge and taped area. Sun is directly on curb side and noisy. He wanted to know if Oliver may have taped this. Trying to relay this as best that I can from his texts. Top opening. He can see cooling coil. He wants to remove tape.
  12. @ 1,500 trailers X 4 springs = 6,000 springs. I don't drive through snow/road chemicals and camp on the Texas coast 12-15 days each spring. I picked up an extra spring at the Mothership, service included inspection of the suspension, springs, and brakes. They found failed shock bushings and replaced under warranty. I take the trailer to a truck place every 3,000 miles to grease the zerks and will have them check the springs each visit. At some point I intend on going with Alcan and USA 5-leaf.
  13. Good Question. Hopefully feedback will come.
  14. Welcome to the group and congrats from Hull #1045, Jolli Olli
  15. So when ordering springs from Alcan, we should request bolt under for our replacements, so it matches the current spring install? I'm definitely not a mechanically minded person🙃
  16. I must be blind, but I can't find contact info for Alcan. Can you share that?
  17. Oliver spotted at Galveston Island State Park. Nice opportunity to meet and chat with Ed Skigator. Coffee in the morning.
  18. Thanks for sharing this. I wonder if a USA made 4-leaf spring would solve the issue. Less stiff than the 5-leaf and USA made, or whether USA made 5-leaf is the safest way to go. If the USA 4-leaf is possibly better than the Chinese 5-leaf. Looking forward to hearing more when you get the USA springs installed.
  19. Always a treat to spot one or be spotted and see a post about being spotted. We were at Galveston Island State Park and an Owner with their Oliver drove by and posted seeing our Oliver. We saw the post and replied back😊 The best was having a phone conversation with Steve Landrum while we were both on I-20, Steve East bound and we were West bound. We all waved passing each other in a blur.
  20. We use the Truma hand held unit. As previously mentioned you need to take the housing cover off. I have been happy with the results. Depending on amount of use (i.e. stove, furnace, grill, fridge, fire pit) I will periodically or every couple of days. I may consider switching down the road. I paid around $75 for the unit.
  21. In my opinion placing a warm object in the 3-way fridge freezer will cause the temp to sky rocket. This comes from testing I did. Why not have that frozen in the freezer and use frozen water bottles for sandwiches, or just make a stop and get the sandwiches out of the fridge. We have a truck fridge and have been using it on fridge only and a small cooler to hold traveling drinks. We try not to put anything warm in the trailer fridge. We give our dog pure pumpkin and placed a new can in the truck fridge to get it cold before placing it in the trailer. Lots of trial and error.
  22. Awesome Build. Brings back memories of our Four Wheel Camper (FWC) Pop-Up truck camper. Those were fun days in the back country
  23. Awesome. Wonder when that photo was taken. Was there Monday for service work.
