Unicorn sought: Tow vehicle that will fit in a 21' long garage with 79" high door opening, payload of 1700+ lbs

Hello.  Sorry to add another thread to the tow vehicle threads, but I want to find a vehicle that I can fit in my garage(preferably without great difficulty).  I have found that theoretically 1500 trucks can be configured as I like but I cannot find any sitting on the pavement. Tow vehicle that will fit in a 21' long garage with 79" high door opening, payload of 1700+ lbs.

I'd like to have a 4x4, 1500 truck with a payload package(would like 1700+ lbs).  Cab: smaller 5 person cab and 6.6' bed or crew cab with 5.5 bed.  I can't find any that will fit in my garage.  Gas preferred to diesel.  New or used.  Stepping up to a 2500 solves the payload problems, but they seem to all measure  longer than 20'.  Maybe a Chevy Suburban with the heavier suspension.  Your thoughts are appreciated.   

Pulling Oliver II with payloads expected to range from 1,000-1700 lbs.  Obviously a capacity of even more is better.  My  Oliver weighs about 5400-5900 lbs hitched and ready to roll.

Forgo the 4x4 if you want to add extra cargo capacity to a 1/2 ton pickup. The problem with this is finding what you want in a 2 wheel drive will require the unicorn to also be able to fart rainbows.

My 2018 Ram 1500 4 x 4 truck is 19 feet in length, not including the trailer hitch.

Just for interest, I looked at Ford’s website.  It looks to me like the F-150 super cab 4X4 meets your criteria.   For the 2023 model year they are 19 ft 4 in length, and 6 ft 5 in  in height (4X4 model).  According to Ford’s website , you can order one with a maximum payload capacity “when properly configured” of 3010 lbs.  Properly configured apparently means when equipped with the Max Trailer Tow Package or Heavy-Duty Payload Package.   I might have this wrong, I am not a truck guy, but this is what I saw on their website.

The 2023 Ford Super Duty F-250 length ranges from 231.8 inches , 246 and 266.2 inches or 19.25 ft, 20.5 and 22.18 ft. with the height 78-82" . Payload will meet or exceed your needes...Fit will be very close but some configurations may meet your needs..

There are several Tow Vehicle wagon train circles of TV's in the camp. Ours is over there with the 1/2 ton group.  Most of us 1/2 Tonners don't want or need the Big Boy 3/4 or 1 ton. 

Yes you can find some big boys dressed up as 1/2 tons.  But personally, I think for your payload, I agree with Taylor.coyote in suggesting the F-250 or larger size TV.

If you're open to a Suburban are you also open to other SUVs? If so, check out a Land Rover Defender, which comes in three lengths. My LR Defender 90 (the shortest version) is only 15.5 feet long including the tire on the rear gate, and it has a towing capacity of 8,201 lbs and a payload capacity of 1,900 lbs. The longest version, the Defender 130, is two feet longer. There's a wide range in Defender pricing based on trim, but you only need the middle engine offering, a turbo inline 6, to get that towing capacity.

It looks like this thread was started in 2023 but I will put in my two bits. I know people disagree with me but we tow with a 2022 diesel GMC canyon. it has a tow capacity of 7700 pounds. I have loaded the truck and trailer many different ways and have taken it to the cat scales more than you care to know. Ive come close to maxing out the trucks GVW but was still under by 400 lbs. Thats including full fuel me my wife 2 kayaks, tent, 5 gallons extra water a full cooler of ice and food, cooking stove, fire pit,IMG_3990.HEIC one e bike and a regular bike. The trailer weighs in at about 5,600. The truck has no problem towing as far as power and so far braking hasn't been an issue. If I had a bigger garage I might consider a bigger truck but so far we have been very happy.
