  5. I don't recall seeing cetane mentioned anywhere in their literature. I suspect it does not boost the cetane number, but it may not need to. You would need to contact their customer service to see if it is ok to use with your other potion. Read through the tech articles if you haven't already. My personal suggestion is to try the 6200 by itself for a few tanks, then consider adding other stuff if you feel the need. I don't think you will need to use a cetane booster. My main reason for using the 6200 is to add lubricity to keep the fuel pump in my Cummins 5.9 happy. Newer engines don't need that, but your emissions system will be much happier with the 6200 and you will probably notice improved starting and maybe a quieter idle.   6. One more thought. Our TST system gives us a temperature readout for each tire. Probably most of them do now, but it's a great feature. You'll normally see a rise in temp as the daytime temp rises, and road friction raises the air temp in the tire, but a very sudden spike could indicate a bearing problem. It's reading the air, not the hub temp, but it at least can make you aware before a major issue.

  7. Thanks John, I subscribe to this channel and they do have some good videos, this one was very informative. On a somewhat related note, traveling to Alaska and high elevation locales could result in running into unexpected low temps at night. This one just came across from a different channel. While the jacks used on this diesel pusher are different than what's on the Ollie, the same situation might cause a blown fuse in our jacks if they become stuck to the ground. Good reason to use blocks between the ground and the jack pads.

  8. Thanks, John. Does this also increase the cetane rating of fuel? Didn't see it mentioned in the product description. I'm currently using Hot Shots EDT. Wondering if you know if the Archoil does not boost cetane, can it be used in combination with Hot Shots EDT?

  9. Basically it has nothing to do with that, a 20lb tank is rated to hold 20lbs, but that's not the point... An exchange will cost $18 to $26 per tank depending on location. Propane is $1.75 where I live, so if it costs $2 bucks a gallon on average and you buy your 80%, at $2 bucks a gallon, or 4 gallons, that's going to cost you $8 bucks. An exchange will cost you double that wherever you go, and then, you're still getting a tank that sometimes is less then half full. So, you want to feel the weight of the tanks in the cage because you will see a big difference between them. Some will be at 3.5 but others will have from 2 to 5 gallons in them depending on who was filling them and what was going on at the time. Plus it may say on the cage that you are paying let's say $3.35 a gallon, but it doesn't say in large print that you're not even getting 5 gallons.   10. I wanted to let everyone know that we are working with a rubber manufacturer and having them perform test for us, as we do not have the means to do this internally. We want to make sure that we resolve the black streak issue but not at the expense of creating a new problem. The concern with the white neoprene gaskets is that they will yellow over time especially if it is not rated for exterior use. We also have to make sure that it is rated at an IP66 rating and ensure that it won't leak. The quickest and easiest method would be to put some type of clearcoat protection over the gasket but how long will this last and how often would it have to be re-applied. We want to do our due diligence to find the best solution for our customers and not just a quick fix that might create other issues.

  11. Sherry, Yes, a launch is really amazing. While down at Bikeweek a few years ago a friend of mine and I made it over to Coco Beach for a shuttle launch. A bit over ten miles away and one could still feel their insides rumble! Even getting up at 3 am was not a problem after seeing that thing streak into the sky. If you are anywhere near - get there. You will not regret it. p.s. Sherry - please do not leave. I believe that these things come and go in cycles and I'm guessing that this cycle is just about done.

  12. No difference whatsover, don't pay extra for nitrogen. While there are benefits in certain situations, it is snake oil when used in regular automotive tires. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=191 Unless you plan to carry a 3000 psi nitrogen bottle with you on road trips to make pressure adjustments each time you lose a little nitrogen, or the outside temperature drops .... I suspect that your Oliver gets N2 in the tires for two reasons: It sounds high tech, therefore it must be good. It minimizes pressure drop during storage, so it prevents a trailer sitting in their storage lot from losing pressure, a little. Maybe.... John Davies Spokane WA

  14. I've been debating this with myself for a few months. I returned yesterday from a month-long trip to Big Bend National Park and other parks and destinations in Texas. I have TPMS for the tires in my tow vehicle and this alerted me to a slow leak in one of my TV tires. The tire had a screw in the tread and I was able to have it fixed for less than $20. The screw could just as easily found its way into one of the Oliver's tires and I don't check my tire pressure daily. This convinced me! I plan to purchase a TPMS system for the Ollie before my next trip. I researched systems and decided that the TireMinder (www.minderresearch.com) was the one I'd purchase. Unfortunately, they make many different models and I haven't decided which one to purchase yet. I'm interested in hearing from other Oliver owners who have a TireMinder system. Don

  15. Issue: Black streaks running down side of camper due to porch light gaskets. Models Impacted: 2016 - 2017 Models Information: At this time the manufacturer of the porch lights has no intentions of replacing and/or designing a different gasket to resolve this issue. Oliver is researching and testing some different gasket materials to find a long term solution for our customers. We are aware of some different methods being used by our customers to resolve this issue, ie: Murphy's Oil and DAP silicone. Resolution: Currently in Research & Testing *This thread will be updated as new information becomes available.
