I too, at first, thought that was a bit expensive for an assembly charge even if it was “expert.” But, thinking it might be useful, I went on and included it with the initial purchase of our clam. It has worked out nicely in that the company actually sends out a team to wherever you’re camping and sets it up. Then, whenever you’re ready to leave, they will come back and pack it up for you. This has proven to be a great timesaver for us. Even though that price is for only for one year, as much as we travel it’s well worth the $35 a month to not have to worry about the time and trouble we would spend setting up our clam every time we want to use it.

For those interested in the 140 x 140 Clam Shelter, my CamelCamelCamel account just notified me that the the price has been reduced to $186 on Amazon. It had been priced at $250-270. Since the beginning of our forum in 2008, Oliver Travel Trailers (OTT) has paid for our Oliver “sandbox”, including our web space and an administrator who knows way more than we do about maintaining the software, for which we are very grateful. OTT DOES NOT CENSOR OR INTERFERE with the moderators’ management of the forum content. Moderators are not employees of OTT. We are Ollie owners, and receive no remuneration. OTT does have a employee designated to read the forum for the purpose of improving the “Ollie Experience” for all, but that’s a few minutes a day in a busy job description. If you should ever have an issue or a warranty claim, call tech support. Your post might not be seen on the forum by an Oliver employee. With that in mind, we moderators ask you to communicate directly with the company and afford them an opportunity to satisfy any serious needs before flaming OTT on the forum. Hi everyone, Introducing Dave, Debbie and Mikayla from Bellingham, MA. Our Ollie will be going into production in a few days. We are scheduled to pick it up in April 2019. I have been enjoying the forum, looking forward to contributing and getting excited about our new camper. Does anyone know if there is an existing thread on Step by step DIY Solar add-on? I added my own system in my recently sold Casita and wanted to do the same in the Ollie. I asked about Solar ready and was informed that all the wiring already will be in place for any options including Solar, just wasn't exactly sure what that means. So far most of our buying anxiety has come from trying to decide on the color option combinations. A thread devoted to owners posting their color combinations would be awesome for Ollie shoppers. I managed to find quite a few pictures of different combination looking through the threads but having them consolidated would be very helpful. Thanks, David

John - Really? There is nothing to assemble on a Clam unless one would want to call hammering stakes into the ground as assembly. I wonder where that "assembly charge" came from? Bill
