Since we've had both, I can confirm your suspicion - access to the hatches is much easier with cushions.2 points

We should probably start a new thread for your trailer. Question? What do you mean by standard fp mattress? Cushions? We've used the cushions for 12 plus years, with a topper. Great sleeping. I might be concerned about a "mattress" in our Elitr, as we have to access rear hatches under the bed from time to time. I think a full mattress would make it more difficult. Sherry2 points

Picked up our Ollie last week with the additional 30A plug and it does NOT come with an additional cord. I purchased an additional 10' cord for generator use if needed.2 points

Sherry, Talked to Oliver before a service trip last year and they were installing the ZAMP PORTABLE SOLAR PORT W/ 20AMP INLINE FUSE for add on ports. Decided to install the 10Amp Furrion port on Ollie for my 100W portable panel. With the 100W panel have not seen over 6 amps charging so far. Bill2 points

Bill, this might help you out - https://olivertraveltrailers.com/oliver-university/ Scroll down until you find the measurement index - that will give you all the dimensions you’ll ever want. Is Oliver doing the twin bed risers (storage) again? I thought that they’d discontinued that option.2 points

From what Anita told me, the mattress is latex and comes in two pieces so access to the hatches will be easier. However, you can’t convert bed into dinette, has to be in bed mode full time which is what we want. We were able to try one out on our tour, very comfortable.1 point

Also, higher height of seat can leave short people like me dangling legs like Edith Ann on Laugh in.1 point

I'm pretty sure that the Zamp port does not have the same limitation as John's furrion port, as Zamp sells much larger suitcase solar products, as plug and play. Zamp's 230 watt suitcase solar has an integrated 15 amp controller. https://www.zampsolar.com/230watt-portable Does anyone know which brand port Oliver is installing these days? Sherry1 point

Welcome, Texas Guy! We have relatives in Frisco if you’re in north Dallas. We’re camped in the mountains in northern Arizona and there is a Tab 400 in the woods across from us. Using a Chevy Colorado to tow. Nice set up. Mike1 point

ScubaRx: Thanks for the advice and your points are well taken. I'm rethinking my decision and will likely go with the 45 degree angled zerks. I hadn't given much thought to having to scoot around under the trailer to access inward-aligned zerks . . . . and I'm at least 35 years and 50 pounds past the point of being able to do that with ease lol. I appreciate your tips. - Brian1 point

Option we settled on are: Standard FP mattress along with Hypervent matting, Midnight Decor package, Ultrafabric upgrade, Powered awning, Black cabinet doors, no microwave (storage box instead) standard water heater, outdoor pro package and the Natures Head toilet. I will be installing the solar power system using Victron components with Renogy panels, micro-air easy start, plus a few other goodies.1 point

I would be concerned about headroom while lounging on the twin bed in a sitting position. Is there enough clearance to not bump your head on the overhead compartments?1 point

Overland, I see Billy reacted to the 2016 LE2 Jhow has for sale which has the riser package. Mossey1 point

Considering they’ve switched from Italian awnings to American to Swedish then back to American, I’m doubting it’s an ideology based decision. Maybe it’s just a world tour. Or, they could just be better awnings.1 point

Man, I was tickled to death to replace Pine (web browser) with Netscape. It was right up there with going from Windows 2.xx to Windows 3.1.1 point

Not clear on all the negativity on a product that has not yet on the market or even been viewed, but I’m pretty sure nobody will be required to buy it.1 point
