We saw two Oliver Elite II's at Table Rock Lake campground in Missouri. Driving there, we talked about the fact we had only seen one since we bought ours in August of 2023. BTW - If you are around TRL or Branson you have to eat at College of the Ozarks. The food is fantastic and the service was great. Kids work at a number of different things there to pay for tuition, room and board. https://www.keetercenter.edu/Dine/Dining/Menu3 points

Well, upon removal of the AIR LIFT pump assembly from the Silverado a few days ago, I realized that system would require a reconfiguration to better serve the selected Savana mounting position. Yesterday said pump and new airline hoses were installed. Today the wiring harness will be routed to the engine bay to complete this project. BTW, the original AIR LIFT air springs remain on the Silverado and can be individually inflated with the Schrader Valve terminated supply airlines left in place. Driver’s side airbag at 0 psi; 5 psi minimum upon install completion, as recommended to prevent damage. AIR LIFT pump assembly readied for install. Pump assembly with airlines, wiring harness and remote control. Pump assembly securely mounted atop the trailer hitch receiver. Once the wiring harness is connected, care will be taken to further protect with wiring loom and mounting straps tidied up. Potential location on backup fill ports in the event of a pump failure (screenshot taken from a YT video).2 points

Said differently: The goal of the AC is to cool and dehumidify. For dehumidification you want to be getting humidity out of the system as fast as possible. For the Gen 2 Houghton it is by dumping it over the side. If the supply air fan is turned off with the compressor, most of the around 23 ounces of liquid on the coil remains on the coil. Upon start up you very quickly are kicking condensate over the side . If the supply air fan contineues to run, most of the condensate will be moved back into the cabin. Sort of like two steps forward and one step back thing. Hope this helps GJ2 points

After several months of researching a suitable replacement TV, a van was decided to be our best choice based on perceived criterium, ie engine/drivetrain, cargo/tow capacity and tongue weight requirements for our OLEll and style of camping. The former 2012 Silverado 1500 4x4 was reaching ‘retirement age’ and I’ve been pushing its limits, regarding carrying capacity, for a couple of years. I will acknowledge up front that we are not minimalist! That said, this Explorer conversion van well exceeds my expectations in both spacial and towing considerations, as well as comfort and convenience. BTW, I told my wife “remind me to never buy another tow vehicle days before a planned trip!” Although ‘well appointed’, the passenger seats had to go; at least when towing our Oliver. The two second row captain’s chairs are easily removed via a release mechanism from the floor mounting base for occasional use, as needed; the third row couch/reclining bed not so much and will go to storage. By removing the passenger seats, I now have 10’ of open cargo space from the rear doors to the front seats; the Silverado’s bed only measured 5’8”, plus limited space in its back seat. Having double doors on both side and rear of the van vastly improved access to the cargo area. The two vehicles were positioned end-to-end to facilitate easy cargo transfer for organizational purposes. Ultimately, two storage boxes were acquired to safely stow much of the cargo; specifically, underbody tool boxes. Yep, delivered one day before our departure to the Texas Oliver Rally at Inks Lake SP, what was I thinking! The boxes are serving their purpose by providing secured organization of supplies and gear, with ample room for our folding e-bikes, Dometic fridge/freezer, portable power station, generators, spare 30 lb. propane tank and a couple of small bins. We saw our first Oliver out and about. We got excited! We are sharing Shepard State Park with another Oliver. By all appearances they are from Georgia. https://shepardstatepark.com/ Doing the forum wave to you. Oh, and you better go eat at Bozo's. Great sea food and the perfect ambiance. https://www.mybozos.com/1 point

We were at Table Rock State Park this week. We saw an Oliver drive by (we were in Campground 2) but it kept going. We had lunch at the Keeter Center, we usually visit there while in Branson. We’ve been to TRSP many times, my grandparents lived in Branson many years, we spent summers there when I was a kid. Mike1 point

During our stay at Davis Mountains SP our friends from Ruidoso called inviting us back, an offer we could not refuse! Decided to visit Silver City NM another time. This time we backed into their driveway and had two nights in a king bed. Did a day trip to Capitan NM and the Smokey Bear Park/Museum.” Pickleball in the mornings and Tuesday nights playing Crokinole at Downshift Brewing Co.1 point

As per Jason ("I would just make sure the inverter is off and the shore power is disconnected. When you connect the wires make sure the breaker itself is tripped. Once all connections are good you can reset and verify it is working properly.") I installed/replaced the Optifuse breaker. After a few test discharge/recharges all appears to be working correctly...finally! I also worked with Xantrex and Lithionics call reps and made some small adjustments to the controls via the apps. Jason also added "We no longer use them (Optfuse breakers) as the system was changed in the '23 models with busbars and an ANL fuse & cutoff." Thanks for all the prior input & thoughts.1 point

Was very surprised by Alpine. A beautiful college town in the SW corner of Texas! Should have stopped there but had a few stops this day, lunch in Marfa, and finally made camp at Davis Mountain SP. Present day Marfa seemed a little out of place. The locals looked like they were mostly from South Austin getting away from city life! Charley is a good traveler and happy camper. Has his own bench seat with pillow. Mama’s boy, but he loves Dad too!1 point

I throw a greeting out to whoever I saw this morning up in the texas panhandle headed north. I was on my last day of the return trip from alaska back to san antonio. This trip I've seen my first 2 "wild" Ollie's. One out on the Homer spit a couple months ago and the one today. Sorry I didn't get a chance to say hi I think it was hull 747 or 757 I don't recall but we tent camped for a night on the spit just to say we did but the wind was so brutal that night we were hunkered down.1 point

Follow up... the propane sensor went off this AM and turns out the gas line connection came a little loose when I reinstalled the top. Turned off the propane bottle and headed to Ace hardware. I initially used tape that qualified, according to the label, as suitable for gas line connections. It was gray in color. I didn't have the yellow that I have always used before. Took back apart this afternoon and replaced with the proper yellow tape. All is well for now...according to my sniffer. John1 point
