We are Steve and Elaine. Soon to be the proud owners of Happy Hour - our hull # is 1730. We pick up our Ollie on 20 August (can't wait). We saw our first and only Ollie in the wild (so to speak) when our family members Mitch and Debbie brought their Oliver "Dickens" home several years ago. (We are just finally able to get our own and start traveling) We live in Maryville, TN and look forward to meeting everyone out on the road. Cheers!2 points

We got lucky and only had a few Smokey days in Gunnison a little smoke in the wet mountain valley we just missed the flash floods and landslides in Ouray, Telluride and near Ridgway, and the Black Canyon……..missed the Aspen fire and the Gold Mountain fire it was a fantastic trip our only bad luck was on the way home in Oklahoma's panhandle it hit 109 degrees and the demonic squirrel cage developed a significant rattle………and was out of service Night temps dropped down and a box fan allowed us to sleep didnt have a chance yet to take the lid off the Penguin2 points

Google Maps has basic travel planning that is free. I will get a print made! What you didn’t know is, as soon as we pulled into that spot, the rear tires of my 2WD truck dropped into a shallow ditch and we got stuck in the mud! (recent monsoon rains) Our truck is in the picture mostly hidden by the Oliver. We’re not leaving until Saturday, the Oliver was in a good spot to level. Let’s spend the night, deal with it in the morning! 😎 Had 74 PSI in the rears. Aired down to 30 PSI. I unhitched the TV and drove it slowly out. Ran down the main rocky dirt road fast to get the mud out of the treads. Lined the truck straight in front of the trailer and backed her out. There was a 30” drop to the “jeep trail.” Don’t try this with your Oliver without a leaf spring upgrade! 🤣 We’re in a new spot just down the road. We have an onboard compressor that came with our Pacbrake exhaust brake. Wonder how long will it take to get these big tires back to highway PSI?2 points

I am pleased that Oliver has returned to their "service in Hohenwald or submit a service ticket" model. I recently had a 12V electrical issue in our Hull #1291, submitted a ticket, and received top-tier help via email from Scottie with Oliver Service. It enabled me to resolve the issue in my driveway, no travel required. That is one of many reasons we own an Oliver. Four years after picking up ours in Hohenwald, we are still "happy [Oliver] campers."1 point

Hopefully not to be seen as a contrarian, I have permanently removed rain gutters on both sides of our trailer. We got tied of all the crap getting hung up in the gutters and streaking down the side. I intend putting short gutters above the windows but have not found this to be necessary. We live on the rainy north coast of califorina and have NO REGRETS. Net results: its a lot easier to wash and keep our trailer clean and have eliminated streaking down the side of our trailer. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK.1 point

Yeah Rich, so it must have kept the drip lines off the fiberglass on both sides! I believe with 25" I should have about 6 ft leftover to place a drip edge on the rear just below the OLIVER sign. You had cautioned us as to how this product would not straighten out, creating wrinkles, which can be seen in your picture. This thread started with a $16 product, with the title "DO NOT use this product!" The one you tried is $40 and the Trim-Lok with 3M tape is $63. It's expensive, but now that I have it in hand, you can stretch this product at a radius opposite to how it's coiled up for packaging and it stretches nicely without wrinkling. Your warning and finally @ScottyGS's suggestion got me to the right product, thank you!1 point

The back of the shower box is exposed in my 2018. The hose at the shower head was leaking. I replaced the entire shower hose and it was easily assessable to unscrew the old hose and screw on the new one.1 point

We often stop at Panther Creek. Nice campground. If anyone is looking for Harvest Hosts or campgrounds along I-81, we have some favorites.1 point

We always have a friend with an EV stop by our campsite needing a charge! 🤣 Everything listed in KWh, but I'm missing whether this is a 12V system or other. Why the gas generator and gas tank if a generator can produce power from the trailer just rolling? NOT all-electric as advertised! Gas tank in a trailer not safe. 60-gal FRESH is very good, 30-gal BLACK also very good, 30-gal GREY. "What are they thinking!" There goes their 7+ days OFF-GRID rating. 8 FT wide and 9,900 LBS GVWR, 8,900 dry weight, better leave those kayaks and e-bikes at home! 1000 LBS available goes quickly filling the fridge and pantry, clothes, bath and cleaning supplies, drinking water and beverages, etc. Love our 7 FT width and the Oliver has a lot more available weight capacity at 7K GVWR and many of us have an upgraded 10K suspension. Made in China! We prefer Tennessee! 😎1 point

Thanks Bill, yes we found a great spot 25 NW of Flagstaff off US-180 towards The Canyon. 1.3 miles of dirt west on FS 191C. Lots of dispersed camping up here. Our first Oliver trip 3 years ago was to the south of Kendrick’s Peak. Now we have a great view of it to our SW! At 7500 ft after a warm day it was 62F at dinner time. I got just the right light and distance in the shot above. The one below, our view from the Oliver entrance, was taken hours earlier. One other camper and 2 trucks down our road all day! 🤠1 point

Over the past few days I’ve looked through all 39 pages of this thread. Very pretty pictures of “Where Is Ollie”. I have pictures of a not-so-pretty location. During late September, 2019 our Oliver was here for a few days We were parked near the base of this building A hint as to the location A screenshot from the campground’s website At the next campground after my one-and-only venture into NYC our Oliver was parked here. A much better looking location. September 30, 2019. And then again in June of 2026. Libby’s Oceanside Camp, York, ME. One of our favorite campgrounds. Bill1 point

Association Island campground on the shores of Lake Ontario in upstate NY. This place has an interesting history. The island used to be the General Electric executive retreat. Thomas Edison held court there. Now it's a campground surrounded by water (there's a causeway), but some of the original buildings are still there. The largest, which was a lodge, has been refurbished into hotel rooms and there are dozens of sites and cabins, including many waterfront sites.1 point

Hanging out at Glacial Lakes State Park (near) Starbuck Minnesota. Our second time here as the campground hosts. Been here since the first of July and leaving the 29th. I saw a camp host at another campground that put out hummingbird feeders, so I thought I’d give it a try. This isn’t “elegant” by any means. I grabbed an old fishing rod and secured the handle end under the edge of the A/C - twist-tied it to the TV antenna to keep it from coming loose. (Extreme vibration of our love-to-hate Dometic Penguin 2) Hummers showed up less than 24 hours later. I have it rigged just outside of the rear window so we can relax in bed and watch them come and go. IMG_9854.mov1 point

Where are all the Ollies? On this 4th of July, the 250th Anniversary of our Great Nation? In 2 weeks, we'll be camping the Coconino NF, first Walnut Canyon and then boondocking the Kaibab NF just south of the Grand Canyon. But on this special holiday, our Ollie is just parked at home. We enjoyed Prescott Frontier Days, the "World's Oldest Rodeo" this year. Annually, it runs over the 4th of July weekend. It was a fun evening! 🤠1 point
