  1. https://www.nmmv.org/ Has anyone visited this museum in Dubois WY?
  2. Try turning off the battery charger in the power distribution center and see if the generator still pulls that much power. You can easily make a neutral/ground bonding plug with a plug and a short piece of wire. I’ve made two and both work fine.
  3. @csevelwe found out early on that our Elite II just worked better if it was set up fairly level side-to-side and slightly nose high. The refrigerator door tends to swing closed, tanks drain quicker, the AC condensate drains better, the fresh water pickup is in the rear of the tank, pantry door tends to stay open, window tracks drain better, and water behind the awning runs off the rear. There is an odd phenomenon that occurs where the kitchen sink will not drain. Read this thread Since I started setting up slightly nose high I’ve not had this happen again.
  4. @JRKI know I’m going to catch a lot of ribbing for showing this. My Oliver mentor @KountryKampergives me crap about it all of the time for carrying this stuff. But I went over the entire camper and took pictures of the data plates and data labels on everything showing model numbers and serial numbers. I then downloaded AND PRINTED all the manuals for the devices, pieces, parts, etc., from the companies that made them and made sure the manuals were for the serial number range of the devices that I had (especially Dometic, Truma, Atwood stuff) and put them in (2) 3-ring binders because sometimes you do not have the ability to look at the internet. I found that some of the manuals available on the Oliver site were wrong for my camper. In addition to owners manuals you can also find service manuals, parts drawings and installation manuals for a lot of the stuff on your trailer. Look for data plates and labels on devices. Some are not easy to find.
  5. @Overlandbut look here, in Houston at the Space Vehicle Mock-up Facility, a Chevrolet Silverado Duramax! Not a Ford Raptor! Getting it ready to send to Mars. 😜😜
  6. @Overland oh now I’m really jealous! It’s even got the “N, upside down V, S, upside down V” on it! I found this at the grocery store in Havre MT
  7. No there’s no latching mechanism on our Ventline. Other than the wooden dowel that we are using now. And regarding microfiber towels, I really like the turquoise colored towels from the Mart of Wal. We use them for wiping down the bath and the exterior and interior of the Oliver. They work real well with Duragloss. In fact I’m using one as a window shade now since I’ve installed the tinted clear glass in the entry door.
  8. @SeaDawg does the MaxxFan Dome stay closed while underway? This is how we keep the Ventline closed
  9. @SeaDawg how has your MaxxFan Dome held up? Has it remained as quiet as is was when new? I’m sitting here listening to my Ventline rattle and replacing it has been on my list since this thread was started.
  10. I posted this back in 2018 but was reminded of this again this morning. While disconnecting my hose I noticed my city water female hose connection fitting was loose. The picture below shows the fitting after I removed the strainer/ washer. You need to carry a 1/2 inch hex key (Allen wrench) or you’ll have to use a bolt with a head that fits a 1/2 inch wrench. Just snug this fitting up after removing the strainer/washer. Be sure to replace the strainer/washer after tightening the fitting. Here is the post that I made about this back in 2018. Just disregard the threadjacking in the middle of the original thread.
  11. @ScubaRx I can send you corsage pins. Probably a couple thousand dollars worth. But that might only be 4.
  12. Yes but I had the corsage pins. And if I really knew the cost of the corsages and the event that was involved they probably cost me more than Velcro. But I do like Velcro. I love the sound of Velcro. Makes me want to drink Tang.
  13. I like to use an extra long shoe horn to slip my shoes on. I keeps me from having to bend over and possibly faint. I used 2 corsage pins stuck in the noggin bumper above the door to hold my shoe horn. Priceless.
  14. I’ve noticed that the body does flex. Sometime when you think you are set up firmly watch the body in the area around the rear wheel well and the adjacent rear stabilizer and have someone move around inside the trailer. You’ll notice that the body moves more than the frame.
  15. I use these if we’re going to be set up for more than a few days. Just snugged up so as to reduce movement not to support the weight of the trailer.
  16. Thanks @SeaDawg . So easy a caveman can do it!
  17. How do you make someone’s user name a link to them? For example if you post a picture of an Oliver on the road and want to notify that person that you included them in a post. This is bound to get me another badge of some kind 😜
  18. Ran into @ScottyGS Hull 145 in Bowman ND yesterday.
  19. We are not staying there. Just spotted an Oliver parked there and wondered if it was anybody on this forum.
  20. Good catch Overland. I looked at pictures of products displaying that logo and they all have the wonky star arrangement. I wonder if that was done to satisfy some legal requirement.
  21. Are new Oliver’s being delivered with this sticker on them? If so how big is it? I’d rather have one of these badges on my Oliver than the ones I’m “earning” on this forum.
  22. When unhitching, chock the trailer tires, shift truck to neutral, release the brake while in neutral, press and hold the brake, shift to park, set parking brake while still pressing the brake pedal, then try raising the tongue off the ball. Are you putting grease on the ball?
  23. BADGES! We don’t need no stinking BADGES! What we need is an easy-to-use search function!
