  1. Sounds very interesting. Wait a couple weeks, YouTube will have many reviews I’m sure.
  2. Thanks for the reply's going to take it off. It’s a mess up there. And very hard to keep clean. Thanks
  3. Would that gutter material work if it went a few inches under the awning and the length of the awning? That way channeling the water and also still be able to clean the area.
  4. Some time ago there was a post regarding the awning whether stripping. Some members remove the weather stripping because of dirt, debris and water pooling on the roof. Wondering if it was a good choice? Thanks
  5. I got my 2017 Chevy duramax highcountry for one main reason, I like it. Specs aren’t that important to me. I do look at them. My decision is base on, am I comfortable in it and do I truly like it. I guess my expectations are simple. It’s worked best for me for many years.
  6. Happy New year to all in the Oliver family. Everyone have safe and happy travels.
  7. I’m a Chevy guy. I have to admit that is a good looking truck. For a dodge. Seriously nice truck good luck with it.
  8. Seems a little strange torque setting between 45- 70lbs what just pick a number? It should be one setting. If anyone wants to do this themselves that’s ok. That will get dexter off the hook if you have any further problems. I haven’t checked these bolts yet. If they are loose. Can i fix it? Yes, will I? no. It will go to a service center. Unless dexter will put it in writing they will care for this problem down the road if the owner makes the repair. I’ll have the service center put it in writing that the repair was made. It may be a minor issue but it is a big safety concern.CYA.
  9. My 2017 Duramax has those ranges 15mpg towing and 22 mpg non towing. No performance upgrades.
  10. Not to make it a sore subject. Oliver does the same thing they claim (approximate) dry weight of 4600lbs my LE II unit came in at 5200lbs with options. 4600lbs may be a true statement. I don’t think they have had one come off the line. Weighing 4600lbs. Same With the trucks, what is claimed and real world are two different things its all in what the Consumers wants to see, so the factory/ dealers can make more sales. It’s all about the money.
  11. Has anyone done simple things while camping? Then say that works pretty well. My wife and I were camping in Port Canaveral the weather turned bad, rain and wind. So morning coffee was inside. While watching the news at the dinette, I took the wrong side so I couldn’t see the TV. So I opened the bathroom door about an inch. I got a perfect view of the Tv in the mirror It worked good, we both were able to watch the morning news. Except for any captions, they were backwards. The little things that make it fun.
  12. I don’t think the interior size would be a hard adjustment coming from a 25’ the one thing i missed when having a 24’ class C was turning the cab seats into the living area. I did a step down from a 40’ fifth wheel to 30’ airstream, then the 24’ class C. And honestly I miss some of the room, but still feel more comfortable in the Oliver. Just me.
  13. I’m also interested in the answer to that concern. I like the folding idea but they still appear bulky and awkward to lift into the truck bed, 65lbs may get old lifting. Just like putting in the generator.
  14. My wife and I were at Gander outdoor the other day. They were having a 25% off everything in the store. we were looking to replace our 15 yr old Weber Q grill. Love that grill. I saw the Black Stone 17in griddle. We decided to give it a try. Cost was about $67.00 of course we had to get the griddle kit and and the carrying case. Total a little over $100,00 .Trying it, after a very easy seasoning process, I cooked so far 20 wings, sausage peppers and onions, and a full breakfast eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns, things you can’t do with the Webber. I am happy with the results. Easy clean up and stores nice with the carrying case The only negative, a lot of grease/oil to clean up. It should get better with more experience using it. Looks like we may semi retire our Webber.
  15. When your ready look at AB lifestyles for the bedding. Sheets, blankets, mattress pads etc. all cut to fit the Oliver patterns. They are located in South Carolina. Great company to work with.
  16. I agree these manufacturers tend to stretch the truth to hype the consumers. Real world stats are not released until after they are produced with disappointing results. Just like the 2020 Chevys claiming super increased tow ratings on the 1500 and 2500 I haven’t seen one on the lot yet to make this claim true.
  17. Another tip you might want to consider. While you have the rubber weather strips removed. Place them in a bucket with a solution of bleach and warm water let them sit for approx 20min then rinse. This will Remove the back spots mold on them and they’ll be white again.
  18. Has anyone looked at the Atlas Pickup?
  19. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Anyone having thanksgiving in there Oliver? Wherever your travels take you have a safe and Happy Holidays.
  20. It would be my luck to get one, then Oliver comes out with the 28ft Ollie. Which would be over the weight limit. Bummer.🤯
  21. The glass wasn’t a total failure. The size of the steel ball broke the glass but it didn’t penetrate it. You couldn’t get those results with car or truck glass . Sounds impressive we shall see.
  22. Seems strange to purposely want to destroy any trailer but what ever floats your boat. One thing its going to be harder to break the Oliver than any other travel trailer of its same size. I believe the Oliver family built the Oliver because they destroyed many other trailers over the years. They wanted to build the best because of the junk out there. Good luck have fun.
  23. Trainman let me know how the 21gal works out for you. Let’s hope it’s large enough 😳🤢
  24. You could also disconnect the inlet side of the water pump. Connect a hose to the inlet side of the pump then into your antifreeze direct feed.
  25. I think the 21gal size will work ok. The next size is 28gal too big to lug around. The best way to know will be a dry run with filling the black tank with plain water. And monitor that way if over filled no nasty mess just water.
