  1. Update - Please disregard my request above. I could not locate a company that makes a cover for the Truma Aventa, so I just ordered a custom cover from this company- https://www.coversandall.com/?utm_source=transactional_email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=footer The same company that is also crafting my Honda 3200i custom cover. I will post up my review of quality fit and finish of both these custom covers once I receive them. Patriot🇺🇸
  2. We just had the Truma retro fit completed and now would like to purchase a cover for the AC when our Ollie is parked. What’s everyone using? I have not had any luck searching on line. Suggestions? Nothing listed here that I think will fit. 😕 https://www.adcoprod.com/ac-covers Thanks! Patriot🇺🇸
  3. @SeaDawg No heat pump or heat strip on the Truma Aventa.
  4. A great story about your new to you Oliver! Hoping all goes through with a final purchase and that you begin enjoying many camping adventures! Congrats! Patriot🇺🇸
  5. Awesome! We really like ours so far! Patriot🇺🇸
  6. Hopefully the foot print of the Freshjet 3 will mirror the foot print of the Dometic Penguin Oliver uses. A direct retro fit and clean install is critical especially on an Oliver. It might be a good idea to ask if there will be any Fiberglass work necessary on the exterior or interior? We just had the Truma Aventa installed and it required a fair amount of fiberglass work by Oliver. It turned out excellent. Patriot🇺🇸
  7. Yes the current Dometic AC’s are noise makers! Truma and Houghton are so much quieter that now Dometic is forced to step it up! Ya gotta love competition in the free market! 😊 Patriot🇺🇸
  8. That’s wisdom! Learned this sticky trick years ago. Great to see it still being used. Thanks @rideandfly!
  9. Thanks Max! Just a work in progress. I appreciate the kind words. Patriot🇺🇸
  10. I wonder if the the Dometic Fresh Jet will retro fit and use the existing condensate drains like the Truma Aventa? Patriot🇺🇸
  11. Today is a gorgeous 76 degree Western North Carolina day. And a really good cool, breezy day to install this new gen security mount - https://fittingdesignsco.com/products/generator-lock-security-low-profile-mount-honda-generator-mount-predator-generator-mount-camping-travel-mount-truck-mount Here are a few install photos. I measured and cut a piece of 3/4” thick rubber horse stall mat to serve as an additional vibration isolator. The install was straightforward using all stainless fasteners. Due to the length of the 3200i and the design of the security tray, this was the only installation configuration I was happy with. Overall, I am really pleased with how it turned out. This is the tray with the puck lock, which is bolted to the bottom of the generator. When you unlock the puck, the tray lifts out of the generator basket. The basket in the next photo is the basket that receives the tray and then the tray is locked into place with the puck lock. Do to the length of the 3200i and security tray it required a hole to be drilled to allow full key access to the puck lock. (Warning do not loose your keys!!!!) I still need to finish sand off the fresh edges of the key hole. I have ordered a custom made heavy duty cover with our Hull # on it for the 3200i from www.coversandall.com. This should arrive in a week or so. Presently Honda does not sell a cover for the 3200i. This custom cover will be much more robust than the Honda light weight covers. This is where the gen will live. Patriot🇺🇸
  12. @Wandering Sagebrush Yes I highly recommend towing with the F350, we do and we are very happy with long distance comfort, safety and cargo capacity. No splitting hairs on cargo capacity you can carry like our former 1/2 ton 5.7 liter Tundra. The Tundra served us well, but not our choice for the optimal TV for long distance travel. As for Rock Stoppers we ordered these from www.livelymachine.com. They are well made and work extremely well and don’t sail at highway speeds. All aluminum tubing and stainless hardware and well made in my experience using them. The fit and finish is close to OEM. They are closer to the rear wheels than the other after market options. Just another option. Patriot🇺🇸
  13. I use Rock Stoppers by https://www.livelymachine.com for a custom cleaner closer to the rear wheel fit and finish. These are Super Duty specific fit. I will never pull our Ollie with out them, they work great. Best of luck in your choice! @HDRider Please add your TV info and Oliver Hull # in your signature line. It will help better answer your questions. Patriot🇺🇸
  14. @jhull61 😳 Glad it passed through your Olivers plumbing system. You may want to just pass this photo and a short write up on to Oliver Service that you discovered this in your tank. This should not have happened and they can pass this information along to the plant to preempt future issues and sharper 👀. It could have resulted in a costly repair. Patriot🇺🇸
  15. I always try and carry several heavy moving blankets to lay over the hood and maybe roof. I am not advocating this is going to prevent all hail damage, but it’s better than nothing if you know hail is on its way. Naturally timing is everything and staying weather aware as much as possible. Patriot🇺🇸
  16. Or enjoying a..
  17. While at the recent rally we spotted a Truma service van driving by our site and stopped the van and asked the tech a few questions. We were interested learning a little more about the remote control operation of our new Truma Aventa retro fit. The written instructions are translated from German to English and are not that good at all. After answering our questions we then began talking about the Truma frig/freezers. The tech just happened to have a couple brand new C30’s and (2) new C36’s in his service van for sale. He mentioned to us that the Truma had a promotional sale price on the C36 which was 45% off and the cover was included at no extra charge. Long story short, we purchased a C36 at the sale price. When empty it weighs 50# which will be more manageable than a heavier unit. We understood from the Truma tech the sale price was also offered on line but you have to add it to the cart in order to receive the discount. And you either get free shipping or a free cover not both. With a 10% Ala sales tax we paid $755.00 total for the C36 and under the Truma promotion no charge for the insulated cover. 45% off seems like a pretty good deal with the normal price approx $1300 plus tax.
  18. 💯 spot on!
  19. The Oliver Owners Wild Pirate Pontoon Gang! 😂 An amazing morning out on the lake with awesome friends! Making great memories is what the rally is all about!
  20. This still needs to be reported to Oliver, We inspected ours and found all ok! Thank you for posting! Edit- We did lower our tire pressure right after pick up. Patriot🇺🇸
  21. You cannot take it with you, that is for sure. 👍🏻
  22. Well that’s right! For now we will continue to wash and wax and keep her polished up and in the shade of the Ollie hangar. 👍🏻😊
  23. Bill, Yes, I sent you the FB post before you went to have the CC done by CGI. The bottom line… heck it’s only a $1200 difference. If you’re happy that’s all that counts! 😊 Shine On!! Patriot🇺🇸
  24. Yes the fees are a drag…and they will auto charge your CC if you don’t read their tiny fine print disclosure and unselect auto renewal. 😏
  25. We like the Ceramic coating on our truck and it does make a difference. I would strongly encourage a price check on having your Ollie done. An Ollie owner on FB recently had his LE2 completely done in Arizona for $1900.00. This also included all of his windows with a 5 year warranty. Patriot🇺🇸
