Yes the Apple fee remains to be seen for sure. If they keep it reasonable it will sell, if not I agree with you most won’t opt in. I am willing to wait and see how far Apple takes their SAT/Comm. 👍🏻👍🏻 Patriot🇺🇸

All good points, and thoughts! We will likely stay with the iPhone 14 with satellite capability for now based on our needs. If I saw a real need I certainly would consider the InReach mini. Right now I don’t. It’s a piece of fairly “cool looking” expensive tech with a monthly fee that would sit idle more than likely ever get used by us. We won’t be traveling to the Arctic Circle any time soon. Brrrrr…🥶😊 Patriot🇺🇸

Centramatic wheel balancing rings
Patriot replied to rich.dev's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Interesting.. I have never been a fan of wheel spacers sandwiched in between any wheel and the hub for many different reasons. I have all things tires done on our vehicles including our Ollie by Discount Tire. DCT will not install wheel spacers due to the liability concerns. I would think these as with any spacers would require regular lug torque checks which many people would likely not do. I agree with @SeaDawg and will stick with weights preferably installed on the inside of my aluminum wheels. Patriot🇺🇸 -
My bride and I both have iPhone 14’s which do come with Satellite SOS. I thought this review was worth sharing as this guy does a decent comparison between the 14 and the InReach 2. I guess the question is do you really need both? Patriot🇺🇸

I may look into purchasing the InReach 2, just in case we are ever “out of reach” with normal comm. 👍🏻 Patriot🇺🇸

Steve, All good info, as mentioned there have been no reported failures to date by owners or Oliver of using the OEM sleeve. It’s also important to note any modifications to the OEM bike rack naturally voids the factory warranty. I do believe what’s really most important is to not exceed the weight limit of the rack. Inspecting all things bike rack is a part of my regular maintenance checklist ✅. Cheers and Happy Pedal Power! Patriot🇺🇸

We were given extra clips when we took delivery. Oliver should be able to send you several spares. Patriot🇺🇸

I spoke with a very nice Truma rep this morning. Here is her reply to @Snake River Idaho post. If the customer reaches out and states they had “self levelling sealer” installed by Oliver directly, then they have already had the update done and do not need to pursue any additional updates. Thanks you for being my first customer and letting me know this! We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Columbia a few times and would recommend it as a base. Patriot🇺🇸

@rich.dev Yes, I agree 💯, thanks for posting this up the links. I learned at service Oliver is already addressing this to hopefully preempt any further concerns. Patriot🇺🇸

Beautiful scenery! Keep the photos rolling in as you can! Patriot🇺🇸

Can you provide a pic of where your drilled through the hull? Thanks! Patriot🇺🇸

@chiwald Love the Flag, cool front graphics and the sun shade! I am guessing that flag is flown only when you’re parked? Have you had any issues with rain water pooling on the sun shade? You will be so glad you are keeping your Ollie out of the sun while not in use. The sun’s UV is brutal on the gelcoat. Patriot🇺🇸

@SeaDawg It could be that a Truma Service Center might install a Truma furnace in an Oliver I am not sure. I was told by that Oliver will not be retrofitting the Vario heat furnace, I honestly don’t know how new it is. Jason Essary could provide more details. It would be expensive for sure. Patriot🇺🇸 -

I know no one has asked or mentioned this. I learned from service that the Truma Vario furnace will not be a retrofit ever. FWIW.. Patriot🇺🇸 -

@SeaDawg All really great points. Especially on the truck frig and the manual awning. We really like the manual awning and our Truma cooler/freezer. I did not know the manual awning is no longer offered 😕. Patriot🇺🇸 -
Sharp eyes! 😊 It’s just a sun screen that prevents any of the early afternoon suns UV from hitting the front of our Ollie. It depends on the summer solstice. I came up with this idea after washing, buffing and waxing one day. So far it works really well.

@Ralph Mawyer We recently had the Truma upgrade completed on our 2020 LE2 by Oliver Service and are very happy with it. A game changer for us. Some folks are fine with the Dometic, we were not. We have no interest in the smaller compressor fridge. We have the Norcold with more space and it serves us well. The Lithium pkg was not offered when we ordered our Ollie in 2020. When ordering we did upgrade to the AGMs. We have the Truma Aqua Go and for many reasons like it. The only upgrade I would consider is replacing our AGMs maybe someday when they give up the ghost with new Lithium batteries. Hopefully by this time Lithium batteries will have come way down in price. Time will tell. A recent quote from Mike Sharpe at Oliver Service for the basic Lithium conversion on our LE2 was $10k. 😳 I am just not a player at that price as I don’t see long term return on resale. On the other hand if I was looking at a used Oliver and it had the Truma Aventa AC, I would consider the the puchase of a used LE2 with the Truma AC over the Dometic Penguin. FWIW.. Patriot🇺🇸 -
We also have a https://www.gentent.com so that we can run the 3200i in the rain. Patriot🇺🇸

I remember ordering it off Amazon and do not see it offered there any longer. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=rv+jack+cover+weatherproof&crid=CGZ15DHQQGCY&sprefix=%2Caps%2C126&ref=nb_sb_ss_recent_1_0_recent
