  1. We have never had an issue with water running off on our roof from the either of the (2) condensate cups in the unit. We had our “Demonic” Penguin removed and retro fit with the Truma Aventa in May of 2023. At the time of the retrofit, I spoke to the tech doing the install about over flow on the roof possibly occurring. He said that its really important to have the trailer dead level when your set up and running the Truma. The condensate cups are not very deep and can fill quickly, and the drain tube handles this under normal operation. ✅ I learned that it’s really important that the (2) Truma condensate tubes do not have a kink in them. This will result in the cup(s) not draining properly into the OEM condensate drain lines. I think this may have possibly been an install concern early on. This would cause the condensate cup(s) to over flow onto the roof. The tech mentioned that he would make sure that the tube would be installed kink free. It works as designed and I have never had condensate water dripping off my roof. I am not suggesting that anyone here is not setting up their trailer dead level. But in order for the 2 small condensate cups to drain properly this is how it’s designed. If you are set up dead level and you still see water dripping off your roof, you may have a kink in one of the condensate drain hoses or maybe it’s just plugged up.
  2. Soak up all the cool you can Jd! Looks like a really fun time! 👍🏻😊🇺🇸
  3. Just beware that the 20% discount applies for on line orders only. I was informed by an HD associate that if you are in the actual store and naturally want the 20% discount, order and pay for it on your phone. Then go to customer service with the product in hand, then show your on line receipt and you’re good to go. I learned this lesson today. 🤷‍♂️
  4. It looks like cooler temps there with the way everyone is dressed. That’s camping weather!
  5. Here is a link to the Gorilla hose - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gorilla-1-2-in-x-25-ft-Marine-and-RV-Hose-GMAR0025/325990305
  6. @Ronbrink Ron, I like everything about this SLM mod! It’s seamless, clean and neat it appears and easily deployed. I also like that you can locate it in different walls on your Oliver, vs the flag pole stationary flag pole mount on the front cargo box. Have you had any field experience with this yet? How well do the suction cups hold on? Do they have to be checked periodically? Well thought out and executed! Thanks! David
  7. The recent BBB aka “big beautiful bill” recently passed by Congress will remove tax credit incentives for EV purchases as well as home EV charger installations. This will certainly have a negative impact on future EV sales along with fossil fuels now returning to an affordable price. Open source -The $7,500 federal tax credit for new electric vehicle (EV) purchases, along with the $4,000 tax credit for used EVs, is scheduled to expire on September 30, 2025, according to recent legislative changes. Additionally, the tax credit for installing a home EV charger will end on June 30, 2026.
  8. Welcome to my world Ron! 😄No worries, I feel pretty sure the Amazon pads will work for you! 👍🏻👍🏻
  9. I posted this in the thread above - this is what I ordered and it fits perfectly. -https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081HHY9VM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details
  10. Interesting read….I will stick with our fossil fuel Beast of Burden. https://gizmodo.com/teslas-cybertruck-is-a-bust-2000629510
  11. Yes, Foy is an amazing craftsman!

  13. Huge fans of Robert Earl Keen! And we always went to see him when he played in local “honkey-tonks” or concert venues when we lived in San Antonio. Great times and memories during the late 80’s and early 90’s at Greene Hall in New Braunsfels “boot scootin” a the hall. The best night a the Hall is when I proposed to my bride and she accepted. 🤩 The late Hall Ketchum who we actually got to know, dedicated a song to us on one summer evening. 🎶 The Road Goes On Forever! 🇺🇸👍🏻
  14. We have been fortunate enough to have toured and enjoyed this beautiful NP twice. It was sad to learn about this fire caused by multiple lightning strikes. https://www.gjsentinel.com/news/western_colorado/officials-offer-grim-insight-into-wildfire-at-black-canyon/article_806a965f-098f-4332-a404-1ad5ffb96eae.html
  15. Welcome to the SL fan club Mike! Glad to hear you scooped up a Mini and look forward to what you think of it during your upcoming travels! It’s been a game changer for us! Congrats on the new tech! We always try and make sure we are obstruction free when we set up. Have fun with it!
  16. This is the size I ordered and they fit perfectly on the front jack and rear stabilizers. Your steel jack and stabilizer “foot” must be round as shown in the link below. (Vid) You can read about the benefits of using snap pads, and watch the video in the description- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081HHY9VM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details
  17. If you feel inclined to do so. Consider replacing your square “jack foot” with a round one. Then you can install these- https://rvsnappad.com/ or https://rvsnappad.com/collections/all-singles I have had a set of three of these on since delivery day and really like them. No imprinting if parked on a black top campsite pad. Happy Trails!
  18. Tony, As a part of regular maintenance if it were me I would remove and clean and buy a quality can of black semi gloss rattle can paint up those jack “feet”. Just me. Mine are still in good shape and have not rusted. I do not winter camp so that is likely why. Not sure if you live in a Northern State, but sodium chloride is brutal on all things metal. While you’re under there clean off the old caulk and reapply a fresh bead. Good on you for inspecting these areas! 👍🏻 There is always something to do regarding ongoing maintenance, but once you knock it, out at least for me it’s a great feeling. Thanks for posting! Patriot 🇺🇸
  19. Well done! Making great memories for sure! 👍🏻😊🇺🇸
  20. What a great view on the water! 🇺🇸👍🏻 More park campsite pics if you have time. Enjoy!
  21. I suppose if we needed to we could move into our Oliver where it’s parked here at home. Our steel “Ollie Hangar” was put to the ultimate test while we were camped in Yellowstone and it survived the brutal rain and hurricane force winds of Helene… a blessing for sure. As for back up power we installed a 24KW LNG whole house generator and never looked back. There is no better feeling than when the power goes out within 8-10 seconds our full home power is restored. Our generator ran for three days while our county and large parts of Western NC was under a complete outage. Neighbors thought I was over the top having a generator installed. After Helene hit and they lost all their frozen food, frigs and freezers, well they thought it was a genius move. 🤔 Several neighbors now have whole house gens🤷‍♂️. Keeping up our preventive service of HVAC and our generator is a high priority for us. But yes, things can and do happen. As for bugging out in the Oliver, we live pretty rural and in a small lake community. Leaving our home is more than likely not going to happen. Where we live we are 911, I will leave it at that. 😉😎 With 2.5 years in, I highly recommend if you can swing it in your budget consider a whole house generator, preferably one that runs on LNG. This gen set immediately notifies us anywhere in the US via Mobile link with a txt and email when every it exercises or runs due to a power outage or if it needs maintenance. Stay safe, stay prepped, and stay cool! 😊🇺🇸
  22. It looks beautiful, peaceful, and spacious there. Thanks for posting!
  23. This EU3200i gen lives in the bed of our TV. It starts on the second pull every time. I have always been a fan of Honda products for their whisper quiet running, reliability, and longevity. We rarely use our 3200, but we would rather have it and not needed than need it and not have it. Our 3200 will run our 13.5 Truma Aventa just fine. There are lots of lower cost or cheaper decent quality generators options out there. Many use the Harbor Freight and big box store gens. It really depends on your budget and how often you plan to run a gen. There is a company in Mass that does LP conversions on the Honda 3200 if you choose to go the LP route. You will experience a little power loss using LP as explained in this link. The upside is you never have to carry gasoline. Here- https://genconnexdirect.net/eu3200i.htm Edit- it appears they have discontinued the LP 3200. 😏
  24. Pretty devastating….
  25. Looks like you're all set, and 👍🏻 you’re keeping your gear clean, high and dry is wise. Setting up and breaking camp for us has never been an issue, fortunately no bumps or lumps or bruises. Unlike many folks, we travel fairly light, ready to camp, and all of our immediate go to set up gear is stored in our Sea Biscuit front storage basket the rest under our ARE Z topper. There are trade offs for sure. I always say, ya gotta roll with what works best for you and puts a smile on your face! 🇺🇸😄
