  1. I can’t speak for the older Hull numbers. But I can say our Oliver warms up quickly and keeps us plenty toasty during cold weather. Over the years Oliver has listened to owners and has continued to make changes and many improvements since the early models. We have a vent in the wet bath. As for the closets they are not heated and never really found this to be an issue. You may want to consider a supplemental small plug in heater. Running duct work to the front bath may come with many challenges. Patriot🇺🇸
  2. Welcome Scott and Conni, From a USAF Gulf War Vet, a big thank you for your service in the best and most lethal Air Force in the world. 🇺🇸 I really enjoyed my time served in USAF. Your delivery day will be here before you know it. Congrats on your new Oliver! Patriot🇺🇸
  3. Not sure if this photo helps or not. The rack that engages the tire does allow some adjustment for fenders. (Arrow points to the adjustment holes) We have a set of Trek 920 touring bikes with full fenders and also this set of Specialized “Rolls” which have full fenders. I trust the way 1Up secures the bikes, however I still use a back up Velcro strap on each wheel securing the wheel to the 1Up rack where the wheel and tire are secure in the rack. Just incase for some reason the rack ratchet mechanism should fail. In this pic I don’t have the Velcro straps on, but it shows where I install them. Hope this helps.
  4. It ought to be beefy for $750. Then add the optional license plate relocation kit. https://1up-usa.com/product/license-plate-holder-2-0 We really like our 1 UP Super Duty rack, like anything you pay for quality. USA made. 🇺🇸 https://1up-usa.com/product/2-super-duty-double
  5. @SAR Welcome to the forum! To answer your original question about where to stay before delivery day? I highly recommend this place B&B -https://www.clarkthecrow.com/ You may want to book early or as soon as you know your actual delivery date. It’s a short drive 8-10 min drive to the Oliver Service Center. Mellisa the gal that owns the place is an awesome host and her accommodations are spotless and really nice. As others have said there are (7) water and electric only camp sites at the Oliver Service Center. There is also a dump station. One of these sites will be yours on delivery day. Your sales person will arrange that for you, just mention it. Note - As much as possible try not to take delivery on Friday. If you have any issues with your new Oliver they won’t be addressed until Monday morning. The service center is closed in the weekends. Congrats on your order, delivery day will be here before you know it! Patriot🇺🇸
  6. Only after a good day of hunting! BBcue squirrel on a stick anyone? 😄👨🏼‍🍳😋
  7. A portable gen is better than no gen for sure. We had a portable Honda eu7000is which worked great as long as we were home to roll it out, fuel it and start it. No chance of it running our 4.5 ton AC. We also have a few freezers full of blueberries, wild game and other perishables, so our portable Honda was just no longer an option for us. Our other concern was during a mass outage it’s highly likely fuel station ⛽️ pumps may not be operating. So an LNG fueled gen was the answer for our needs. Very generous of you to offer your home to those neighbors who don’t own a Gen! 👍🏻😊
  8. I did a bit of a deep dive locally and learned from our LNG provider that unless there is a direct attack on our LNG supply substations we will not loose LNG here in Western NC. Its been awhile since we have had a large power outage via ice storm, attack on the our sadly non hardened sub stations or other natural disasters. Post generator install, I don’t think about power loss at our home very much. ✅ Two is one and one is none” Patriot🇺🇸
  9. After several attacks on substations last year and considering our country’s electrical grid is ancient and not at all secure, we opted to have a 24KW Gen installed fueled by LNG last Jan. I really like being able to monitor Gen run times where ever I have cell service. Our installers did a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 job. https://neverdarkgenerators.com/ For times such as these we are soooooo glad we did. 10. Steve, I think your front receiver is a good idea for many uses especially parking an Oliver in a tight garage or storage place. I had briefly given a little thought to the front receiver as a bike carry location. We cover our bikes to keep the brand name out of sight and also to keep them clean. My biggest concerns were how much air flow would the bike cover block from our engine bay with the bikes covered and carried up front. It may be negligible or maybe not. The other concern was would the cover block any of my front lights with the bikes covered. Not sure of this out come either. My third concern, which really should be my first concern, is I really don’t care for how bikes look mounted on the front of any vehicle. Just me. 😄 So rather than go through the throws of installing the front receiver knowing I would likely never carry our bikes up front, the decision on my current configuration was easy. With the 1Up USA Super Duty bike rack with the bikes covered, my rear Ollie lights are lawful and very visible. I had my bride follow me up the road in our car while I pulled the Ollie with our bikes loaded as seen in the pic. All good on running lights and brake lights, and turn signal visibility. I also have a good view of the bikes from the Ollie rear camera. 12,000 miles running this set up, all good. This is an old photo, I have since added the 1Up license plate relocation plate to the rear of the rack. Have fun at Q! - David
  11. Love the Flag mod on your Ollie Max!! Great photos and thanks for sharing! Have fun with the pups! ruff!! Patriot🇺🇸🇺🇸
  12. @AlbertNTerri a very solid report and glad you have your issue fixed. Thank you for letting us all know. What I find really disturbing is that Truma knowingly admitted to you that they were aware of the collar nut not being properly torqued which resulted in a gas leak and a fire. Wow, very disconcerting. At a minimum one would think that Truma would have initiated a safety recall via serial number and address this serious fire hazzard. This could have really turned out to be a fire that might have completely destroyed your Oliver. I am so glad it did not, and you took all the appropriate steps to prevent further damage. Again, so glad you are both safe and your Oliver did not suffer and damage as far as you can tell. Hopefully Truma will do the right thing and immediately initiate a safety recall to address the torque issues on ALL serial number units with improper torque specs. Patriot🇺🇸
  13. Thanks for the info! And quick thinking on your part to resolve it.
  14. A pretty neat video on heat shrink self solder water tight butt slice connectors. Patriot🇺🇸
  15. We both sleep with our heads towards the galley. 😴 We really sleep great on our 10” memory foam mattresses.
  16. @Mountainman198 Creative thinking on book or general use storage, nice job!
  17. If it were me, I would see if Oliver would try order a screen from the supplier. Or I would find out who the supplier is and call them. We like the option of leaving the dinette window/screen slightly open and the rear exit window screen open when camped. We turn the max air fan on low and it just provides a really nice breeze. There likely will be times when you may want both your bed side windows and privacy shades closed due to annoying CG lights, car lights or a neighbor who is afraid of the dark and leaves his porch light on all night. There is no shortage of campers leaving lights on all night. Our privacy shades and screened rear window came in super handy last year during our 6000 mile western trip. Looking back, we used our rear screen window a lot. I like options, options are nice.
  18. On point Mike! Our Q1200 weber will hickory smoke and grill up baby back ribs, tenderloin steaks, chicken wings, lamb chops, trout, blackened shrimp. Just not a griddle guy here, except if we stop at a Waffle House. 😄
  19. Heads up if you own an F 150 YM 21-23 with Trailer Tow Max Duty pkg. https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/03/cars/ford-f150-pickup-recall/index.html?fbclid=IwAR3MKc3liwv0-IrlLVP5lHD2c6N3UWCFmmq7R0wA5suIdobPxc2NVzlqSGk Check your VIN here - https://www.ford.com/support/recalls/
  20. Jason post up a photo if you don’t mind. No screen, hmmmm a bummer. We use our rear window screen a lot for a nice breezy cross ventilation. I am surprised to hear no screen.
  21. Yes, I posted after our Oct 20 visit that Oliver is producing this door in house. A much stronger door/mirro combo with less flex and a much more secure latching system. I hope it will be a retro fit! As always nice work Oliver!! Onward! Patriot🇺🇸
  22. I will keep continue to use the OEM plug and cord. So far it’s worked great. 👍🏻
