  1. Nice double duty doggie bag. The little battery power brick is a neat idea…but merely an illusion to being “off the cord”. You still need to charge that little dewalt at some point. Sorta like saying a Tesla or any EV never needs a coal powered or nuclear plant for energy. 🤔 It’s not about being fancy, it’s just that we all have different ways of doing what we do and attempt pass it forward to others here. I like taking care of all my gear especially sensitive electronics. Glad you found a cheap way to waterproof your battery.
  2. We love listening to Winwood…a great road trip tune.
  3. @Ronbrink Our local Ace HW did not have the cord holder like yours in stock. I found this at of all places our local “Wally World“ and picked up (2) for $3.97 each. They are fairly robust and will allow me to keep my cables buttoned up when not in use. They are the size I was looking for to fit in my HF case perfectly. Thanks again for the idea!
  4. Ron, Perfect! I will be headed over the my local ACE today. Thanks! David
  5. Hey John, It has solid reviews and will be easier to stow the cable than my present reel. Please up if this works with your tripod mount. Thanks!
  6. Mini cable wrap- https://shop.banthaoverland.com/products/starlink-mini-cable-wrap-81516?variant= I am considering this cable wrap to quickly deploy and store my SL cable. I like the cable cap protectors also, they are proud of them. The previous reels I purchased did not work as I had hoped. What is everyone using to reel up or store their Mini cable? I like to keep gear neat and buttoned up.
  7. That’s interesting Bill, we have not had that issue here at home or while on the road. 🤔
  8. Looking good Mike! Thanks for the field feedback on not needing the router. Perfect northern exposure and no obstruction is key! We had the same great reception last fall while out west, I see no need for the router for our use. Safe Travels!
  9. Haha! Wishful thinking. 😄 typo corrected!
  10. For those members who don’t do FB, here is recent pic of a few 26 YM interior updates from the Oliver FB page. I am seeing the fiber-granite sinks, a vent over the closet door where the pervious speaker use to be mounted. A new Bluetooth speaker, induction cook top, a texture wet bath wall, under cabinet switch lights, a new bath door, and the white belly band. 🇺🇸
  11. John, & @routlaw Rob, My understanding is that its a (Lippert) Bonded 3000 series glass window. David
  12. Bob, I think you’re wise to give Oliver an opportunity to tackle it. I hope they get you fixed up. Please post up what you learn as could really help another member should this issue arise again. Thanks!
  13. Excellent point! I went ahead and signed up for the monthly parasitic draw $5 fee. 😏
  14. Good to know Mike, I wonder if you will need it at all. We never had an issue last fall on our 48 day trip out west. Our Mini worked great. Safe Travels to Lake Tahoe!
  15. @jd1923 Here is a link to what may help you with an answer on the used Super Duty you are looking at. You will likely need to register on the forum if you want to ask questions. Other than that lots of reading. I hope this helps! https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum30/ Open source says - The 2015 Ford Powerstroke is equipped with a 6.7L Powerstroke diesel engine and a 6R140 TorqShift heavy-duty 6-speed automatic transmission. As for the rear pumpkin, you would may want to call the owner and verify specs.
  16. Ron, you mean Demonic Penguin? 😄 That’s what I use to call that loud jet engine…lol. Sold my old Demonic to a guy with a food truck for $600 after hauling it back from Oliver post Truma install.
  17. That’s terrible. Hopefully they will take extra care with the next shipment. Free shipping for your troubles? Can’t hurt to ask.
  18. 3 years in and zero issues with the Truma Aventa condensate lines clogging here. We just make sure that our trailer is dead level and all is good. 😊 As I recall I never had issues with the “Demonic AC” either. 🤔
  19. A few Oliver showroom floor photos of the Lippert awning style windows installed on 26 YM Olivers. It’s my understanding from Oliver that these windows will allow for retro fit on existing Olivers. Pricing on the retro fit of all (5) windows has not been announced yet. 3” max opening. Black interior frame and pull down roller shade. Also note the new white belly band.
  20. I will chime in since Mike is traveling, yes we have a Jackery and it runs the SL mini fine. In fact it does a great job running our Truma Frig/freezer as well. A great little power bank.
  21. It will be interesting to see a year from now or possibly sooner if SL increases their $5 monthly parasitic draw. What else could happen? 🤷‍♂️ 😄
  22. Bob, Here is an older thread that may help. Have you tried shutting the unit down completely? Sometimes this will allow the unit to reset itself. If that does not work I would contact Truma. You may need a new circuit board from what I have read in the thread below.
  23. Disappointed with this newly added “parasitic $5.00 monthly draw. The optics alone give it a nickel and dime approach. I would not be surprised to see this fee will slowly continue to go up. We may explore just canceling our service over the winter months when we are not using the it. 🤔
  24. I had 10 mil XPEL PPF installed on our Oliver a few years ago, it’s holding up great. It’s worth the money spent if you want to protect the gelcoat. Also a good set of rear flaps is worth the investment. Here is a link to a thread on my PPF install. I also had my entire tow vehicle covered in 8 mil XPEL PPF.
  25. Bill, I look forward to your Super Duty build, function, and farkle! 😄 Let the “function and sparkle” begin! Also really glad your F350 fits nicely in your garage. Farkle On! 👍🏻
