Dena, I doubt trainman was doing anything but musing out loud, as his camping style is probably different from yours. As is mine, and, we probably all live in different regions... We've actually only used ac a handful of times in 15 seasons in our Elite, as we try to camp in more temperate climates. We tend to "chase the cooler weather." Since I can't actually help you with your question ( I have only 2 x 105 agm batteries, and no inverter, don'tuse ac much, but boondock almost always) in any other way, I'll just point out that there are a couple other threads running on this same topic right now that may be of interest to you, and provide some answers. Your question is certainly valid, if you camp in regions of extreme heat, and are spending the extra dollars for lithium. Welcome to the forum.

@Trainman, I'd just bet a 63 could easily tow my elite. What a fine rig that would be😁 (My dad towed cargo trailers heavier than my elite with his Galaxy 500 and his LTD. With family in the car, sometimes. )

Different, for all of us.

A photo of where you have connected would help. I'm going to bow out, as you have two much more current owners helping you, now. Best of luck.

Quick & dirty AC test with Platinum Lithium package
SeaDawg replied to Jstone's topic in General Discussion
I'd say the 10 per cent recovery on 340 watts is pretty accurate, in full sun, with 630 ah batteries. When we swapped 200 watts solar for 400, in partial spring shade (buds, no leaves) we could power our 12v danfoss/secop without portable. I took a lot of notes, but I can't find them at the moment. Our truckfridge uses 60 or slightly more ah per day. We can keep up in mostly sun. In shade, or rain, we have to break out the portable panels, or the genset to keep up. ( we only have 2 x 105 ah agm batteries. ) If you do the math, that's acceptable. And, expected. To recharge 630 ah batteries with solar, you'd need a ton more solar. The Ollie rooftop is just not that big. The idea is to give you power when you need it, without worry. Boondocking. Ac for an hour or two, sure. Overnight, I don't think so, as far as replenishing. -
Look at your valve configuration, and look at your manual. Have you ever filled the water tank, or just used city water, up until now? I'm sure this was covered in orientation, but it's a long day, and a lot to absorb.

We tried this, at our remote camping facility, in wnc. It would boost very very weak to very weak, on att. Nada, zip on tmobile. Useless. We returned it. That's why we continue to carry phones from two services, Verizon and tmobile, two different signals, two towers. Funny news. If I put my Verizon phone in the window of our steel pole barn, in wnc, my husband gets better signal on hotspot than I do as principal user. Go figure.

I wonder (out loud) how Renogy's mppt controller works, when you daisy chain two panels, one as primary with the controller, one without? They've sold many of these systems. I'll just conjecture that they have some answers for you, if you call. Most rvs out there have a zamp or furrion port, with a 10 amp fuse. Like John, and you, we have the furrion port, as we deemed it more weather resistant than the zamp port. Time will tell.

Tonight, we did burgers on the fire. Nothing beats the flavor of wood fired cooking, imo. Our neice's husband, camping with us.

I'll try, but I have a 2008. Our trailer has a 110 outlet, by the tires. Your bluetti panels will need not only a charge controller (not that expensive), but possibly a device to reverse the polarity that zamp reverses, sae. (If new trailers still use zamp port. Idk.) To tap into 12v for the tiny fan for a composting toilet will likely not be difficult. If you decide to change it up, and if you don't have wiring installed. I'd pm John e Davies, as I think he installed his nature's head, himself. Orhers have. Some very good questions for your Oliver rep. We'll see what he or she has to say.

My sister uses a lot of young living products, as well. She gave me a knee balm roller ,which is amazing, for my trick knee. I, too, try to avoid the steroids, as much as possible.

Actually, photos do help. His connection looks different from others I've seen. But, filling out a signature would truly help.

I've done something similar, in an air fryer at home. My picky eater daughter loved it. I added a small scoop of vanilla gelato. Whipped cream, and, homemade caramel sauce. I folded the ends in of the tortillas, like a burrito. Sprayed the tortilla with canola or olive spray. Can't remember.

I hope it works for you. I used to buy it under the bandaid label. No longer available. Same ingredients, so maybe benadryl bought them out.. idk. Works great for us for insect bites. For hives, which I get every two or three years, I use a generic spray benadryl, like wal dryl from Walgreens. I sympathize. I have no idea where my hives come from. Very random. When I was a kid, my mom used cuticura soap on my hives, then calamine lotion. That worked, too. More frequent, then. Every summer. Cuticura also makes an ointment, which i haven't tried, but I plan to order it. (Maybe my mom did. I don't remember. ) Moisturizing plus phenol. Everyone has a different body chemistry, so things work differently. But, the benadryl children has worked great for at least 10 of us for bites.

Best Replacement for Lifeline gpl-4ct agm battery

You will have to change the charging profile, on yourczamp, at the least. How do you camp? Do you need/want lithium? -
Best Replacement for Lifeline gpl-4ct agm battery
SeaDawg replied to roguebooks's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
If you mostly camp with hookups, and rarely use your inverter, one 12v battery will be totally fine. 105 ah on a group 31. Roughly 50 ah usable, max. If you only occasionally overnight without hookups, you'll still be fine, if you don't use the inverter and powersucker microwave. We have 2 group 31 deka / east penn agm batteries in our elite1. It works for us, but we are power misers. (Our electric fridge is our big power sucker.) Like I said, you're fine with one battery, as long as you rarely use the inverter. Not a lot of wiggle room, with a single battery. Then again, you've not had a lot of wiggle room with current 2 x 6v. One of my best friends camps with us often, with a single agm battery. She's a power penny pincher, though. Veteran tent camper. She can go three days, without firing up a grnset, no solat. -
Trying out a new Xantrex portable solar panel
SeaDawg replied to Cameron's topic in General Discussion
I removed the links. Owners can look up cgis solar, if they care to. The link was to a Chinese rv equipment manufacturer. Not malicious, as far as I know. But, better safe than sorry. -
Most fruits are great on the grill. The heat kind of carmelizes the inherent sugar in the fruit, heightens the sweetness,,without adding sugar. Have you tried grilling avocado? Nothing to add but a bit of cooking spray. Cut in half, ditch the pit. (Or save, to amaze a grandkid with "how to grow a tree", with the toothpick thing). I grill canned pineapple rings, even, with chicken or ham steak. Not as great as fresh, but adds a lovely flavor to the plate. Fyi, Costco has a great little Kirkland ham (boneless.) If we have a group, I can cut ham steaks for six, still have extra for thinner slices for campfire breakfasts, and dice the end bit for pie iron breakfast or soup. The added flavor from quickly grilling ham steak (spray with oil, lightly) is amazing, on the fire. It, too, takes on a bit of smokey sweet. As I am writing this, I'm listening to owls and cicadas. I so love the woods. And, cooking with fire.

If you want to power the ac from a genset, you'll need more than a Honda 1000. With the dometic, with an easy start, at least a 2200, I'd think. We rarely use ac. The Honda 1000 is strictly for charging the batteries, along with solar.

Apple pie, without the crust. Love that!

Lithionics Secures Access to Their Batteries
SeaDawg replied to BBL's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Yes, my question basically was, did the victron security obviate the need for a pass code on lithionics. Or, prohibit it. I would think with victron app, you don't need lithionics security code, nor, want it. I'm still running that idea through my head. I think we are into the territory of too many apps, personally. Our boat has a xantrex, which doesn't communicate with the victron. We'll eventually change it, but it was only a few months old when we bought the solar, and victron gear. Now five years old, there's probably newer software and systems/backbone out there. We'll see. I do think a smart shunt should at least be an option. -
A higher wattage generator will charge lithium batteries faster. And, they can accept fast charges. We have agms. Solar does the heavy lifting, with our Honda 1000 as backup. We use the 1000 genset early in the day, bulk mode, to let the free solar do the slow charging, later and slower, as necessary. Much of the time, we don't need a genset. I don't know about you, but I don't want to carry a genset I can't easily lift. And, I don't want a big genset on the tongue. It's all about your comfort zone, how you camp, your tow vehicle, etc

Thin long pants, long sleeves. Spray my clothes, not my skin. Organic herbal repellents, as i can. A small fan works under normal conditions. Summer in the Tundra, not so much. Head fly screen. I like alcohol wipes to relieve itxh. Or children's antiitch. I have this in both trucks, and trailer first aid kit.
