I have no idea in the new trailers, as we have a 2008, but I "suspect " it is unfinished, like ours . Some people have built a cabinet box to slide in. We did plywood sides, ikea swing up door, and I painted the fiberglass interior and the plywood we added. More space, but we do have to deal with the cold or hot ambient temps, as ours has no insulation to the outer hull. I'm ok with that. In heat, or super cold, I prop the door open a bit with a pot holder or towel. I have a huge storage space, and can't use a microwave anyway, most times, as we rarely have power.

If you get no credit for deletion, I'd get the microwave. See if you use it. If you don't, a number of us have removed ours. (Ours died, I think, from lack of use. It was mostly a small storage compartment. )

It seemed very strange to be happy about finding regular gas at "only" $4.14 as we did yesterday, at a Murphy's near the Asheville Airport. We "saved" 25 cents a gallon filling up there, as most stations near us were $4.39. My brother reported $4.76 in Florida, today. If I owned that diesel pusher at 5 mpg/over $1 a mile, it would have a for sale sign in the window. Or, trade it in on a nice sailboat. The wind is free.

Since we don't have an onboard ems,in our older 2008 trailer, I'm following this for educational purposes. I've wondered the same.

We've never used a clay bar. We used to use 3m ultra paste wax. Now we use collinite marine paste wax, (#885, Fleetwood, blue and white can) since 3m discontinued the ultra. West marine boat soap, the pink one .

I'm really missing 3m ultra marine. We've been using a collinite wax. Not as easy, but great results. The good news, collinite gives much more practice on the royal parade wave.... Hope mr. Miyagi approves. Lol.

And, judging by your pictured vehicles, white is your favorite color, so perfect! Please do let Oliver know that you've purchased a trailer. Keeps you in the loop for updates, safety recalls, etc. As @dewdevsaid.

@Jps190, I'm with you. I'll wait and see. Our 2008, waxed twice yearly, with quality, uv protection carnuba based wax, still looks great, stored outside 24/7/365. We also wash it frequently, with marine soap. My only tangential experience with ceramic coating was my neighbor's 28 ft boat. Took two days to complete. Lasted 2 years in Florida sun and salt spray. Our boats do better/look better than that with twice yearly wax, and far less costly. My neighbor sold the boat, so didn't care. I would. I'd look for a local mobile detailer if I didn't want to keep up with waxing routines. Everyone has to follow their gut on this decision. Either way, if not diy, it's a high $$$ investment.

I would not care to have the superfluous dicor everywhere, as I've seen on so many sob trailers and motorhomes. I think they throw all that crap up there to hide shoddy workmanship. It definitely makes tracing leaks harder, and resealing more difficult, if there are bulges of sealant, everywhere. Unlike others, I've had a couple roof leaks, in 15 seasons. The original dometic ac bolts needed to be retorqued after a year and many miles. Easy fix. Then, about a year or two ago, the bath fan leaked. Gasket failure. Needed reseating. We decided to replace it with a better fan, with a light, and no regrets, rather than reseating an old working fan. We used butyl tape to bed the new fan, and I love the overhead light in the bath. Oliver generally does an amazing job with sealing penetrations, and uses good quality, long life sealants, imo. I'm in my 15th season, and have very few complaints. Two small roof leaks, in over a decade, is pretty good, for me. We have also had a window sealant leak, and, the third tail light is the biggest culprit. Ours, I think is forever fixed, imo. BUT, hey, my trailer is in its 15th season. But, our boat is in its 44th. We're used to resealing, as necessary.

And, keep some spare hooks. Amazon sells a little kit with the attachment tool and a few hooks. Etrailer sells a pack of 8 hooks. Camco sent me a half dozen spares for free about ten years ago, when one of my springs rusted, but camco was bought out last year, so that exceptional customer service has probably changed. Our original camco screens are still bright and shiny after 14 seasons. (Except the one we drove over. That one required replacement. 😂)

Nan, when you install your screens, put a small tarp on the ground in case one of the little spring hooks flies off the little tool. It makes finding the hooks much easier. (Ask me how I know...😂😂😂)

I'm not the best person to respond, as we rarely use ac, but, I'd definitely test it out, take notes, and open a service ticket while you are still under warranty, just in case.

@Karin, I will split off your question so that it gets the attention it deserves. I don't have your system, but I'd guess from your post that your problem isn't rapid depletion, but that it's not charging properly or sufficiently from the solar alone. How long has it been since you left Lake Guntersville? Did your lithium app show 100 per cent when you left?

Here's a link to @ShallowGal's post on The Top of the World Highway from Dawson City YT to Chicken, AK. It's about 80 miles of gravel, on the US side, with extremely steep dropoffs, soft shoulders, and a paucity of guardrails. (The few miles on the Canadian side are paved and lovely. ) Looks like shallowgal may have rock tamers, or similar, on their truck, looking at their photo. I'd bet they weren't traveling very fast with that weather, and the road conditions.

And, there are permanent (and pricier) options out there, like color matched Vortex. My friend Pete @bugeyedriver had this applied to his trailer front several years ago. It looks great. Unfortunately, with covid reducing traveling, I haven't seen his trailer in a couple years, but I saw it after his Alaska trip, where I know he drove at least one of the crummier, ding-enducing roads-- Top of the world highway, and I think maybe the Denali, too. The Denali is one of the worst, especially for your tow vehicle, because of the big Princess tour busses pushing along to get the cruise line passengers to Denali park from the cruiseport. For that, I'd carry a windshield repair kit, just in case. (We've driven the Denali without issue many times, without issue, as my cousin lives on the Denali in summers, but you never know.) Maybe Pete will chime in with his experience, after several years of use with the Vortex.

We've had a long thread on Starlink running for quite awhile. Several people here have it at home, and @IL_Travelers has been using the roaming ability on a trip out west. His comments are on the page 4.
