  1. Look for Sherry's (SeaDawg) posts, they've been there a bit. They forums are being reworked this weekend so it might take a bit for people to find new posts.
  2. Is it just me (my browser) or is everyone having more issues lately? Today it seems the recent tab on the right is dead, leads to an empty page. My bookmark is set to recent topics, open it and it says last post was 36 min ago, login to comment and now it says last post was 9 hours 47 minutes ago, clear browsing history and get completely different most recent post.... Yesterday, click on recent topic icon and it would open to what had been the most recent two days before and there would be 4 or more posts on topic after where it opened to. I get the impression Matt is trying to collect click counts making people click all over the place trying to find what's new on here. (Just kidding) Edit - forgot I'm on Android using Firefox browser, tried PC and got completely different results too.
  3. R&K, with all your plans it almost seems easier (and cheaper) to grab all the papers and just hop a quick two day flight back to register it, then just keep driving. The nice part is you can figure out where it would be the cheapest to do it from and just drive there. Do you need to have the trailer physically there for registration? Does California have any sort of inspection process for trailers? Keep the pictures coming, trip looks great so far. (Time to start coloring your signature map)
  4. The floor pipe extends into the tank approx. 2-3 inches, so once the level hits the bottom of the pipe you might still have space around the top of the tank (while the pipe fills). Next time while she's in there "testing" go outside and rock the trailer as hard as possible and see if that gives more "space"
  5. Hadn't noticed until now, there are now no switches or panels located below the pantry, looks clean. Do they offer to mount the pantry door which way you want, I've now seen that handle on both sides depending on the unit?
  6. What is the lighted switch above the closet door next to the speaker? Is it water pump? I'm wondering why they relocated the thermostat to the other wall...
  7. I didn't realize it would do the print/photo translation, I'll have to try that. Going to Quebec this weekend.
  8. Was outside today, checked the old style lights. Now I understand why they don't "bleed". I really hope I don't have to remove the whole fixture to replace the bulb, couple screws and a gasket might be nice... So those with the gadget, remove the two screws, trim the gasket down and then seal it, the bonus is you've got double protection against water intrusion.
  9. For those looking to make their own gaskets, the manufacturer is ITC in Elkhart IN here is a link to the part listing, the middle photo is a dimension drawing that might help. The part number is 69710-CH-6.5K ITC LINK For those with the old ones, they are made by Diamond Group and their catalog is full of useful modification items DG catalog
  10. These are the old style, which I have, and have never had an issue. Unlike the shore power connection gasket, which streaks. This is the newer light they switched to last spring The pictures on the main site don't look like they changed since then.
  11. Saw this and thought of you guys and this discussion.
  12. This is the most extreme I've done and would do, if more is required I would change location. What can't be seen is that I also use the 6x6s for leveler support. As stated, this way the jack doesn't need to fully extend, and weaken the system. Oliver's recommendation is that lifting the trailer OFF the tires is for maintenance and emergency and not for leveling, like a CLASS A would be. I agree that doing so would greatly decrease stability. Generally weighing 200 lbs and on the tires, you can feel it walking around, so just enough pressure on the levelers to remove the shock/spring compression (bounce) works well for us. I will end up with some of the Andersen levelers this season, I have found the stackable Lego ones difficult above 2 or 3 due to the spacing between the tires and "ramping" them to get on them. Edited
  13. The fact that you see it coming through high points on the inside indicate that the intrusion must be somewhere above that. The fact that it only shows up when you wash it and not from rain, I will assume it's been in a strong enough rain to count. This all leads to either the force or direction of the water being the culprit. Being that you probably stand on the ground for most of the wash, I might first be inclined to guess direction and also look towards the Omni antenna as my first guess. Another is the foam seal in the bathroom vent, there is a drain hole in the housing and you could be directing the water right into it without knowing it. Those are my guesses, keep us updated.
  14. I liked the idea of having detectors in between the hulls, in case of smoldering, so I ordered the Atoms. I went with the non-ten year battery as those are sealed and non replaceable from what I saw. Holy Smokes-these things are tiny... Thanks for the recommendation
  15. Thanks. I'd been planning to remove it at some point, for access to the forward hull and after Jason's warning I was hesitant. I have no experience with it and was nervous of causing damage to the gel coat. So thanks for alleviating some of that fear.
  16. John, I don't see that you were ever a part of this thread. Depending upon when they made the switch to something else, you might need to use a little caution. Post #12 is Jason's http://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/new-plumbing-design-for-2017/#
  17. So according to the newest News Letter, Oliver Travel Trailers will be going international. Does this mean we may have access to equipment or components that would normally be used in foreign markets? I have seen some truly cool products used in trailers built around Europe that would be pretty neat to be able to select for a build...
  18. Whoa, a heated bathroom floor, that could've been a nice option. Not being near the trailer, to look, is the bathroom vent not the same as the cabin vents? Those are just pushed on the housing on mine, not even taped, hold tight.
  19. I like option 3, the 80s are also narrow enough that you could put one under each 160 on an extendable track and simply slide them out once on site.
  20. I had actually researched these before I bought my Oliver. They are well designed and manufactured in Canada. Back then the wait time was 6-9 months, maybe it's better now. The raised roof glass walls are really nice and let in tons of light. Not much bathroom privacy though if that concerns you. Everything is a matter of planned use. I believe when I researched them they were around $30K
  21. Being that I primarily get in here on my phone, the new layout looks nice, I like the alternating background color, between topics. Maybe that can be carried through into the posts too. It seems to be flowing more smoothly and posting on topic actually shows up immediately.
  22. Okay, here goes a simple mind. Why not just reconfigure a Dyson to attach to the bathroom window (or somewhere else), you can slow the motor down suck the air in (pressurize the trailer) and then just empty the dirt container and clean the foam filters every now and then. I believe they are HEPA rated. You're only talking about while traveling right or when out of the trailer. You can store it in the closet and if you don't "reconfigure" it too much you can still use it to clean... The down side is you don't get much in the way of bragging rights to all the filtration specifications when showing off. Can you tell, I like duct tape.
  23. I think that with the configuration you show, I might be more inclined to broaden the scope and go with 2 Kyocera 265w panels, mounted sideways, instead of the 3 160s. Pulled all the way forward, to your leading edge, this would pull your back edge forward and clear the AC better with the slim panels and give you 50 more watts for the same space. If you have them elevate the panels slightly and pull them forward over the vent (not fan) what is the code for venting under an overhang, you could probably slide another skinny panel in front of the maxx air. (Didn't do the math) and get 770w on the roof.
