  1. John, If you let then know you need them, they will send you some more, I just received a new packet of brochures.
  2. Hi Cheryl, I had the same issue with mine months ago. There is nothing on your profile, in fact it says you haven't put anything in. One thing you can try is to clear all your caches and start from an empty browser. It took me two weeks when I tried to change the wording on mine. Good luck
  3. When I went from NH to Oliver to Vegas/Zion then 3 day drive back to NH, towing was just under 12.5 mpg. Not towing I'm around 18 mpg
  4. Dennis, Be sure to check the stamp on your hitch, a lot of the GMC hitches don't like it if you're over 500 lbs and naked ; )
  5. John, I curious about a truck that old, the new ones all specify on their hitches Mac tongue weight without WDH 500lbs with WDH 1000lbs, out something to that effect. Being that old of a truck and that beefy of a truck does it have any mention of with and without WDH? Thanks
  6. I saw one like that when I posted from my Galaxy S7 (with link), then when I went back after a response it was just the gray box. That particular post (you show) just read it, shows up as just the gray box on my Windows 10 PC.
  7. Stumbled across an old thread you might enjoy http://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/olivers-and-off-road-use/
  8. Ray, I don't know if you've seen it yet, here is one members fix for their trip to Alaska. http://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/oliver-rock-guard/ Sorry you have to copy paste, link wouldn't work. I would agree with Oliver offering an optional solution. I do like the airstream rock guards and would bet most would opt for it. Maybe exactly like the airstream product, aluminum but painted white, I know nothing of painting can you print aluminum?
  9. Welcome aboard Ray, glad to see you made it over. While being in New Hampshire isn't really conducive to showing you my trailer, until you manage to see one in person, as I offered earlier, if you would like in depth photos of any part just let me know and I or someone else would be happy to oblige. You can also check out Buzzy's various threads where he's been doing videos of each of the trailers areas. Good luck with your research, one day I would love to go out on one of your excursions, just reading them is great I can't imagine how being on the would be.
  10. Grayson, I must apologize, I seem to have forgotten the order I did things. When I first got the trailer from Ron I wanted to throughly clean it and see if I could do something about the cream colored frames and it was during the period that I had the frames off already, that I removed and replaced the screens and completely cleaned all the window gutters and the black plastic tracks they run on (thus I didn't remember having to remove anything to do it) I just tested on the trailer and found they can be removed with the frame installed, but is not worth the effort and possible damage to the blinds in doing so. The frames come off easy enough, they are held on by two metal squeeze clips on the top and bottom and on my trailer they had applied some sort of contact adhesive to where the clips attach to ensure they didn't "fall off" so they might be reluctant to let go, if yours is the same.
  11. I replaced mine with aluminium cat proof screens. You should not need to remove the frames or anything else, just open window to have more room to work with. The screens only have those curved metal tabs to hold them in with pressure. I will take some photos of it and post once I'm back near the trailer later.
  12. Stan, That photo is perfect, and your wife has a great eye for placement. The heart shaped shadow looks spectacular, is that original or was it edited at all, absolutely perfect timing of not. Was the decal done in vinyl, so in theory it could be removed and reapplied or is it adhesive backed? Is the decal form cut out is it like a square sticker? It really looks fantastic on there.
  13. John, Looking at that track system, it seems the way it mounts would eliminate being able to use any brand topper with it. While expensive, the long term investment and extra security value of a full Leer cap with the Thule option would seem your best bet. I wonder if they make a rack option that mounts to a topper, so long as the mounting setup is on the outer edges, loading shouldn't be an issue as the bed rails would carry most of it.
  14. Hmmm... Interesting, on my Galaxy S7 I've been logged in for about 3 weeks, every morning refresh the browser in recent topics view, clicked on this thread to state exactly that and it logged me out, go figure. I have also noticed that the site has slowed down more recently.
  15. Thank you for the information. It will definitely go on my research further list, looks incredibly handy to have.
  16. Okay, what is this clam you speak of? Always interested and looking for good gear and it sounds like it might be. Thanks
  17. Welcome! If they still have that one leftover 2016 maybe you could walk away with one Monday, wouldn't that be awesome. Good luck and let us all know how it goes.
  18. Sounds like an awesome trip! I can't wait until we have enough time to be gone for that long. Nice Buzzy coupler.. What do you use that huge neon (matching) suction cup for? And finally, what is the sticker curb side on the back?
  19. My auto insurance is Amica, and if it is covered under your tow vehicle then it is probably only covered while being towed, this if while towing you roll and it hits something your covered, if it detaches and does something your not, if it isn't attached to your truck and a tree falls on it your not, if you out travelling and you go for a hike and come back to it being gone your not. Amica spelled it all out for me for the different scenarios so that I would understand it. If your cost did not increase for three insurance, then your Oliver is NOT covered for when you will need it the most. Please double check and have them spell it out, it's not worth just going by what one person said "don't worry about it your covered" its not his loss or coming out of his pocket. I believe the trailer added about $500 to my policy for full replacement coverage and all circumstances. Otherwise, I use AAA and still need to up it to the RV plan. I've never used it and hope I never do, so I can't say how satisfied I am with it.
  20. Oops... My bad sorry about that. I use so much Delorme I forgot theirs is called InReach and it is like the Spot Messenger Gen3 (which I have and use for motorcycle travel tracking) The Spot Trace is it's own thing from Spot and is only used for security tracking unlike the others, for personal tracking.
  21. John, Welcome to the family, we're glad you made it. My thoughts on your choices are, the coupler lock while expense seems to be a good one, I have a more basic model lock and it provides some peace of mind, I think the deterrent factor of any lock is a plus, I don't know if that much more expensive is worth the extra money though. I posted a video in another thread that shows a thief stealing a trailer in 1:10 min:sec just using the safety chains. The Brahma wheels locks, just make sure they will work over the center caps, unless you change them out for flatter ones. The home security system is interesting, you will need to leave an always on hot spot so that it can notify you and then you need to make sure you only camp in cellular coverage. One thing you might add to your list is a Delorme Spot Trace, this you can mount under and AC shroud and either run it on the batteries installed, replace monthly or work to hardwire a 12v source up there. You can set it up so that as soon as your trailer moves you are sent a ping and can then track it movements. There is an annual contract, but it runs on GPS and has coverage basically everywhere. Remember, everyone loves pictures of new trailers and to know what the newest stuff their putting on them is
  22. There is no reason you can't use the new black tank as a fresh water tank. You could fill it from the rinse out and the way the opening is configured (don't ask how I know) you can easily fabricate a cap with a pex tub connection and hose that goes down to the rear corner and then run a pex line to "tee" into the rear draw line and just run the pump to refresh the main from it. Easy-Peasy. Then when you sell, remove the cap and install a toilet and it's all normal. The opening is also large enough you can probably patch the opening for the drain line too. Just keep in mind, you need a ladder to use the Nature's Head, it is a full 7 inches higher than the one that's in there now.
  23. Robert, I've been looking at swapping out to a Novakool, do you know if Oliver had put it in originally? Which model is it? How much sun were you in that your solar couldn't keep up, vacation in Arizona or home in Oregon? When it couldn't keep up, how close was it to being able to, did it have trouble after a few hours or would it make it through the night and was just too iffy? Did you tend to keep it full of stuff or not much? Any info would be appreciated.
  24. You are in inspiration to us all! I wish you the BEST OF LUCK with enjoying your Ollie, it definitely sounds like you deserve it. All the best
  25. Without seeing more of the system, the center pex in the photo, which is the output from the pump, where does this line go? If it goes straight to the water heater then that will do a lot to increase the pressure felt in the shower, (how I setup my manifold) it will also pretty much eliminate the problem of the cold water overpowering the hot at the mixer when the flow is shut off, which is why they have that pulsating to keep the water moving. The other recommendation would be to reposition the output from the heater so that the water that goes forward is straight through and the water that goes to the outdoor shower exits the T side, there should be enough room to incorporate a 90 bend at the bottom and the T under the drawers (hot water) is already configured so that the water to the shower is a straight pass thru.
