  1. Our garage is almost done. Just need electrical run and installed before Eggcelsior can move in. Hoping to have it indoors before the first real snowfall.
  2. Don't know about any commuter lots or other free parking but we've stayed at Cherry Hill Park campground in Maryland. They had a city bus stop in the campground that took you to the Metro for the trip into the city. Maybe they have an overflow lot or something similar you could use.
  3. I don't think this is correct. Setting #28 limits the maximum draw of the converter section to X amps, with preference going to any internal 120v loads before the balance goes to the converter for battery charging. For instance, if it's set to 15A, and you have 5A of internal loads (TV, cell chargers, etc.), 10A will be used to charge the batteries. They'll still charge, but slower. I've done this many times when connected to a small generator or to a 15A circuit. Look at it this way: your solar panels still charge the batteries and they don't come anywhere near 150A of charging current. Limiting setting #28 to 15A will slow charging but not stop it unless you have 15A of other draws running in the trailer.
  4. Yeah, it does that. Try turning a wifi hotspot on on your cell phone, then connect the TV to your hotspot. Once it's connected, you'll be able to switch back to antenna. Next time, make sure you're on antenna before turning it off. It always tries to go back to Wi-Fi if that's where you left it last time you used it.
  5. If you have an inverter, which I assume you do since you have solar, you need to turn it on to power the 120v outlets when you don't have shore power. Our inverter is a Xantrex and pushing the silver button on the control panel in turns it on. Note that the inverter is a fairly large battery draw.
  6. Bad for weight distribution, too. Many Olivers are already at or even slightly below the 10-15% tongue weight recommended for stability.
  7. https://www.slashgear.com/1440425/goal-zeros-skylight-camping-light/ Won't be any stars to see when the neighbors start firing these things up. 😪
  8. We added a strap to help hang onto the door on windy days.
  9. No heat strip in our 2022 Dometic A/C. Hull 1150. Wish there was.
  10. We can run our Dometic A/C with our 2000W Honda generator but it's my understanding that a 3000W generator is needed to run the Truma A/C because it doesn't have the soft-start feature.
  11. We've camped in humid 90s a few times. The Dometic A/C on our trailer quickly brings the interior into the 70s and keeps it there, even in full sun. It is loud, though.
  12. Take a photo of it?
  13. There's a thread about this somewhere. Did you travel shortly after applying the sealant? Our rear window sealant, new from the factory, did that on the way home from Hohenwald. Apparently, street grime stuck to it. I haven't been successful cleaning it, either.
  14. I do that, too. Amazon sells a box of assorted hot chocolate pods that are pretty good. I have hot cider for the fall, too.
  15. We bought a tiny little Keurig-type machine on Amazon. We didn't want to give up the cabinet space for a regular Keurig. This little Chulux coffee maker is much smaller than the Keuirig, but it seems to work fine, if a bit slower to heat the water. Draws only 800 watts and easy to store.
  16. This is what our WeighSafe hitch consistently reports, about 550 pounds on the tongue. I try to load nose-heavy, too. The closet is full, with my tools on the floor and the collapsible ladder inside. No WD hitch or sway control. OTOH our dually is heavy, with the bed full of camping gear and those 4 tires on the ground in back, so we haven't experienced any sway yet.
  17. Agreed. One caveat: they are heavy when full (approx 55 pounds). After I threw my back out doing something else I was somewhat flummoxed trying to put a full 30# tank back in the doghouse.
  18. Is the adhesive black and rubbery?
  19. "Nookie jacks"
  20. 😢
  21. If you already had a big truck you could skip the powered axle and all that battery capacity is for camping. $105k isn't that much more than an Ollie L2.
  22. Was it windy, with the wind blowing against the fridge side of the trailer? Fridge on propane? There have been reports of wind blowing Norcold fridge exhaust fumes through the control panel into the cabin and triggering the alarm.
  23. Completely unscientific but I've done it for years: fill tank with flusher for 45 seconds, pull valve and rinse for 30, repeat for 3 cycles.
