  1. It does go through a little bit of water to prime, but I don't really limit the amount of water I use. There is 30 in the holding tank, and I generally get more water wherever I am camping. This is a different story when dispersed. In that case, I put the extra water in gallon water jugs and keep for other things. I don't drink the water in the holding tank so it is just used to clean hands, dishes, operate the toilet and clean up at night. 30 gallons is more than enough for about 3 days.
  2. I will have to look at it on my computer later. Hard to see it really well on my phone. I like the quick adjust feature for different size tires and the key lock mechanism.
  3. Thank Thanks for the picture. It does help. My has a Magnum Nomad. It has fat tires and full fenders like your. The velcro straps are a good idea. The front tire doesn’t look like it will be a problem but the rear tire is covered. I thought about removing the fender but the wife handed me divorce papers so i backed off. Lol
  4. My wife’s bike has the plastic fenders. How secure does it feel clamping underneath?
  5. I will need to replace the dinky trailer hitch Oliver decided to put on my trailer though. My wife’s bike has full fenders on it. I wonder if the clamping mechanism will work on that. Their website doesn’t show another option.
  6. This works for me. I actually went out and drained it when the temperatures were about 15 degrees. This is so easy to do, I don't know why I left it running in the first place. It pretty much works instantly when I turn it back on.
  7. I have a front hitch on my Ranch Hand bumper. I tried mounting the bikes on it and they were way over the top of the hood obstructing my field of view. Another reason I won't mount in front, my bumper already sits 18 inches beyond the front of the truck, add a rack and two bikes and I've just extended the front of my TV farther forward than I am comfortable with. According to the NHTSA, in 2019 there were 2.8 million front collisions vs 1.5 million rear. That would mean I would double the risk of smashing my expensive bikes with it mounted in the front vs the back. Another issue would be bugs on my bikes. If I cover them, I will obstruct the air from entering the radiator. In Texas, that could be disastrous. Finally, it just looked ugly. 😛
  8. Your TV is a F350 Diesel Lariat Tremor pulling a $100k trailer. They know.
  9. I love that one. In fact, I love a lot of the old classics. New stuff? Not so much.
  10. Every time she gets out to "push", she finds another pretty rock to add to her collection in the trailer somewhere.
  11. I sort of anticipated this problem before it got cold here in Texas. I left the cap off of the fill line and let the water drain out by lifting the front of the camper. Water seems to get trapped in there when level.
  12. That was a concern of mine as well. I opened the housing and looked at the way Truma built the heating system. The shielding around the burners is fairly impregnable without tools and the exhaust is routed out and down. It would take a very powerful burst of wind directed inside the vent to worry me about that. Even so, the design wouldn't allow gas venting if the flame blew out, it would just relight it. Regardless, I drove close to 800 miles on highways and interstates with no problem.
  13. Yes. I have and it works. If you leave your heat running in your trailer while towing it to keep your water from freezing, you might as well leave the Truma on. However, like @Rolind mentioned, Truma has a feature that allows you to easily drain it from the outside once you shut the water supply valve off under the curb side bed. This is the main reason I didn't buy the antifreeze kit.
  14. Almost everywhere we go unless dispersed.
  15. I remember those days. Also, when you could pitch a tent in the woods and not spend an hour collecting trash someone left behind.
  16. This is exactly what we do including the nap in the wrong direction. lol
  17. Hopefully, we will see you there. We plan to get fuel long before we get there and load up with supplies before leaving the house. Unless I have some unexpected breakage, I won't need to see the town, just some good people.
  18. Welcome, fellow Texans. Jason and Tina here. We just picked ours up in December, Shaked it down, wrung it out, and finally cleaned it up for the first time.
  19. Hello, fellow Texan. Longview, here. Delivery for me was spot on. Mine was on Tuesday which is a really good day to do the shakedown since Oliver will be open until Friday. I had no problems with mine but that might not be typical. Allowing two days, one at camp Oliver and another at a local campground will give you the chance to set up, break down, pull it (seating the brakes), set up and break down again.
  20. How do you say 'Tralier'? That's a bit cavalier of them, me thinks.
  21. I believe mine is all rubber, but I would have to double check that.
  22. I am a very light sleeper and I have another fire extinguisher next to the bed. However, I was in emergency services for over four years, so I'm not too macho to jump out that window screaming like a little girl if needed.
