  1. Every year, I try to whittle down the stuff we carry. We rolled the camper back into the side yard a few days ago. Honestly, the storage in the Ollie is better than I thought, every year. When I unloaded everything, I was stumped for a place to put it all . This year, I'm going to not worry about conditioned space for most of it. I'm not storing anything in the guest room closet anymore. Some will just go back into the trailer after cleaning and interior wax. This year, I think I will do a big purge on what we actually used, and what we simply carry. Too much stuff.. Sherry

  2. We chase good weather, but we also enjoy the relative calm of shoulder season camping, even in Canada. Would you share your cold weather ( below freezing) camping tips here, please? If we know we are venturing into freezing temps, we winterize. We lost our outdoor shower once when we left our Oliver in the cold too long in storage without winterizing... Routinely, we winterize if we think we will encounter sub freezing temperatures in our travels. But, we have a 2008... Sherry

  3. I am at the Mothership today and waiting to pick up the FST. So...... I thought I would share a photo of some Ollies waiting to met their new owners. It's nice to see the company doing so well and the family of owners growing. It should be a heck of a rally in May 2018.

  4. The blue sky system can be set up to equalize your T105 batteries. There is a dip switch that needs to be turned on and settings in the IPN controller that have to be activated. Bill, you might want to turn your voltage up in the controller.

  5. I like that "camo" look! One can hardly even see the Oliver. Thank goodness for the lower outside lights - at least you can still find the Oliver in the dark. Bill

  6. Here's the leak we had with rear Oliver light fixture/sign above rear window. The water traveled around exterior lens sealant into LED light fixture dripping between insulation & hull coming out at the top of the rear window. Removed and sealed rear Oliver sign/lens stopping leak where it entered hull:

  7. Many charge systems are set to equalize periodically. I noticed my ZAMP solar controller had the 4 T105's up to 15 volts. Later back down to the 13's.

  8. Reed, remember my motto............"I only exaggerate enough to compensate for being taken with a grain of salt". In other words, I only exaggerate in the interest of truth. ????

  9. Hi Reed I pulled the windows and resealed them myself our trailer is Hull 83 2015 twin bed, we also are enjoying the left and right sliding windows being switched to slide to the rear the cross flow ventilation is much better when using the fantastic fan. I would not install rain gutters as they are not needed, let me know if I can provide any more info. Marc

  10. I have to agree, it's nice to have the room. I just get a little overwhelmed when I try to unload everything. . It's amazing how much "stuff"hangs out through camping season that we never need. BTW, belated happy anniversary. Sherry

  11. We have agm batteries. I believe that the general consensus is to not equalize with agm batteries. When we had flooded batteries, and solar, years ago, we didn't equalize then, either. At least, not that I recall . comments? Sherry

  12. They do make a nice hitch, I didn't need the scale, but they were one of the only ones I found that make a 3"

  13. We found that two of our windows were leaking at the top of the frame so all windows were removed and resealed problem solved upon inspection the leaking windows did not show any gaps at the top of the frame but the reseal did correct this issue. During window reseal i was able to switch the left with the raight rear for better airflow when sleeping as we sleep head forward (the windows on my 2015 were manufactured so that the could be used in either left or right location. Resealing the window frames will fix your problem and rain gutters will not be needed. Marc

  14. Welcome! Click “See an Ollie” at the menu bar up top, that brings you a map of owners that are willing to show their units. There is one in Ft Collins and one up in Cheyenne, plus a couple in AZ. You may have a road trip in your near future.... Send a request to Oliver, one of the sales folks will email and call the owner(s) with your contact info, then the owner(s) will connect with you directly to arrange a date. It works pretty well, the only problem is when you want to look at two units in one visit, you might not be able to scync them with the owners. Also, in choosing a unit to look at, make sure that in inclement weather or darkness you will be able to adequately see everything. Visiting an Ollie that is stored in a dim warehouse or parked outside in a howling blizzard will be, well, unproductive, at best. These are beautiful trailers, try hard to view one that is clean, well lit (the outside) and with all features operating (not completely put to bed for the season). John Davies Spokane WA

  16. Just to comment. When I was at the factory, a tech was cleaning the black smoke residue around the frame welds with acetone. If If it still looks like that, you might put some acetone on a rag and see if it cleans up. Might make inspecting the welds easier.

  18. We were at the Bristlecone Pines campground in CA at about 8,500 ft. Got all set up late in the day and I got a campfire going. Then it started to snow. Beautiful. I sat outside in the snow and just marveled at the quiet and the beauty. Poking at the fire and moving closer to stay warm. A libation offered some distraction from the gathering cold and darkness. Liye decided to move inside. Eventually, I moved in too. But looked out the window at the orange glow and fog of snowflakes. Again, totally quiet and we were the only ones there. Miles from anywhere and anyone. The heater clicked on and off during the night and as I noticed it, I also noticed how snug we were. Snow makes the dark forest even quieter. Morning brought the chance to see how much snow we got and start a new adventure going on up to the 10,000 ft level to marvel at the 5,000 year old trees. Bristlecone Pines. One of my favorite places. Through coring and other tree ring methods we can look back 12,000 years with a recorded history. All of this from trees growing in a dolomite soil that was previously a sea bottom. Now, that ancient "sea bottom" is at 10,000 ft elevation. Such are the wonders of the Sierra Nevada Range and plate tectonics. Fun to ponder on a quiet night, camped in the snow with a warm fire crackling. The idea is to lean into it, experience it, marvel at what it is. Try to grasp the enormous amount of time that has passed to form this scene. Living trees that I can reach out and touch, that were alive when the pyramids were being built. But more than that, soil that formed as a sea bed and is now here! Without our beautiful little trailer, we could never come here and have a comfortable winter visit.
