  1. Hobo, I think the failed attachment is on me - let me try again.

  2. FYI: there is an online company AB Lifestyles that makes the twin fitted and flat sheet to fit the Elite II twin beds. The sheets are curved and fit wonderfully and are absolutely soft, soft, soft. The top sheet has elastic at the bottom as well so it doesn't pull out making the bed oh so much easier to make. I love them my husband's only negative comment was hit feet felt trapped...LOL Karen & George #441

  3. Hey Hobo Be careful there I purchased a weigh safe aluminum hitch for my Chevy H D in the 2 1/2 in receiver. After looking at my buddies rock tamers they would not fit on the receiver as it was to close to the truck, I called weight safe and their hitches are not compatible with the 2 1/2 hitches they are with the two inch model. Had to send the hitch back so I could use the Rock Tamers. If yours is a weigh safe 2 1/2 it won't work. Just trying to save you some grief. Doug

  4. Sherry I called the master lock a "feel good lock" for a couple of reasons. It is cheap and appears to be very secure, so it makes an owner feel good. And a thief with a $50 lock pick gun will see it and feel very good.... https://www.lockpickshop.com/lock-pick-guns.html Happy trails. John Davies Spokane WA

  5. John, I agree. Your Stanley lock is a much better product. Thanks for the link.

  6. John, Your setup is almost exactly what I was thinking relative to the locks. I have a weigh rite hitch which I can set up to be perfectly level with the trailer too. I also have the same mud flaps you have. I just need to get outside and put it all together. I'm three weeks out from having had my hip replaced and almost feel like I can start fooling around with this project now. Thanks for your input. Always insightful. Hobo

  7. Sherry, that Master disc lock is a “feel good lock” that is poor quality and easily defeated.... Master locks in general should be avoided since the lock mechanism is junk, unless there is no other option. I really like and use the Master Python cable lock, while realizing that it is mostly a visual deterrent. https://www.asecurelife.com/best-padlocks/ John Davies Spokane WA

  8. Hello, We travel with 2 Cairn Terriers. They each weigh about 14 lbs a piece. We recently returned from a 40 day trip. The dogs were sleeping on a blanket on the floor between the twin beds. Each morning, we would take them on a walk and pick up their blanket. We noticed that there was moisture on the floor. So, we decided to buy an elevated bed. This is the product that we purchased. Fiksu Pets Heavy Duty Elevated Pet Bed (small) from Amazon. It cost $39.99. We had it shipped to a campsite where we were located. It worked extremely well and problem was solved.

  9. LOL, that’s a good one..... there is no consensus whatsoever, but I really like this combo. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HL2NM0K/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001V5IYT2/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The collar is forged 304 stainless steel and plenty strong, and the padlock is “high enough” security for travel. It is a snug fit in the hole with no extra movement. It would be tricky to get cutters around it. If you research padlocks, you will find that ones secure enough for long term storage are super expensive. This one is big, intimidating and has a good shielded lock mechanism. After two seasons of use I see no need to change it. If you want to leave the Proven one at home you can add a $20 layer of protection while away from the trailer by inserting a 2” steel ball in the coupler so nobody can drop it onto a smaller hitch ball. https://smile.amazon.com/Inch-Chrome-Steel-Bearing-Balls/dp/B007B2A3VQ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1CCOSY9FGE1J&keywords=2+steel+ball+bearing&qid=1553432022&s=gateway&sprefix=2”+steel+ball+beain%2Caps%2C229&sr=8-3 If you don’t already have your hitch setup, we can talk about what works on a Ram 3500.... the truck in the pic had 33 inch tires and the trailer was dead level. 10. Tom - Perhaps this will get you started - I don't have access to Twist at the moment so I'm not sure about the size. Bill https://www.amazon.com/Button-Handle-Quick-Release-Commercial/dp/B002GPHTCO/ref=sr_1_40?keywords=spring+ball+pins&qid=1553430394&s=gateway&sr=8-40

  12. I regret that I did not find out about these trailers a decade earlier Sorry about that, jd. I'm only 11 years in. Happy camper, so far... what else can I say?

  13. I regret that I did not find out about these trailers a decade earlier. I regret that there was not an offroad Independent Suspension Package and Disk Brake Package to order. I regret that the factory is a 30 hour drive away from my home. Otherwise I regret nada! I discount completely any negative comments on this page by a brand new forum member whose first and ONLY post (147117) was on the day (s)he joined seven months ago, and who has no profile information whatsoever. Especially when the problems whined about relate to common RV appliances, not to an Oliver trailer. Wait, we need an “RV Appliance Hate Thread”.... John Davies Spokane WA

  14. Dear Owners, On March 11th, we stated that we were looking into this and here's what we have come up with so far and there will be more to follow: First of all, we’d like to express how much we appreciate any owner who voluntarily shows their travel trailer to others who show an interest. We acknowledge your contribution as being a large part of our success. However, this is a voluntary program and if at anytime an owner feels there is too much risk, they should withdraw from the program. Regardless of whether you take part or not, we appreciate you. Both our attorney and our insurance agent have indicated to us that since we do not have any control over the owner, their trailer or their premises it is not a risk we can insure against. We are working to create a “hold harmless” agreement that we can put into the terms and conditions that folks agree to on our website when they request a field visit. The value of such an agreement will be limited in terms of how much protection it may provide due to the fact that there are so many variables in the potential circumstances and the laws governing liability vary from state to state. Once we have the hold harmless in place, we will post it here. Commercial insurance, which we carry, covers our employees and products but not our customers. We did ask if there was a rider available and were told not at this time. Regarding your personal liability there has already been a lot of discussion here so it doesn’t need repeating. You should check with your carrier to see what coverage you have if this is a concern as people come and go from your property every day for any number of reasons. Again, thank you for all of your contributions, we are looking forward to seeing you at the rally and we can discuss this further there if anyone comes up with anything else.

  15. We took possession of our Ollie this week. We spent two nights camping locally (Natchez Trace) which turned out to be a great idea as it gave us time to field test all of the systems and get comfortable. We are now home and planning the maiden voyage - a three week loop thru south Florida. Happy Campers with big plans - looking at her makes us want to leave home.
