A lot of questions have been answered before. Patriot posted the magnet information above as you requested and said he used 3M double sided tape. In the other thread on this subject I explained that I used 3M Command Tape. Most of us don’t mind repeating answers to questions so don’t feel like you are making things difficult, we certainly don’t. If you do, then you can just review already posted threads before asking. Otherwise, we’re okay with lots of questions. Mike

3M Command Tape will be your friend in an Oliver. We use it to hang paper towel holder, iPhone shelf, door magnets, pictures, hooks, etc.

Jim I have a 2003 Tundra that is very near your TACO. My Tundra has a 280 hp engine. I have an Elite and have towed several Elite IIs for Oliver, to Winnipeg Canada, Quartzsite AZ and beyond. While you may have enough HP to tow the Elite, there are a number of factors you need to consider. Choose your route carefully. I recommend returning on I-40 as far as possible. It is flat, not too much elevation. For your sized truck, it is not as important about pulling the trailer up as keeping it slow going down. Avoid as many downward mountains as possible. A 5k lb. trailer will push your truck down a mountain. After being pushed down several mountains by my Tundra, I have now opted for a GMC 1500, and I now pull with my GMC. Safety, not horsepower is the most important factor to me. Also, crossing Texas, New Mexico and AZ, the winds can blow a heavy rig all over the road. I have seen a 18 wheeler loose it crossing the desert. A small truck does not have the weight to stabilize blowing 5k trailer in 30 mph winds. Be careful, be safe Coy

We had the sliders. Hated them for two reasons. 1. The tracks were brittle and breaking. Fell out all of the time 2. harder to get stuff in and out because you only had 1/2 an opening to work with iron Horse RV in San Antonio made plexiglass doors. Attached the top hidden piano hinge with 3M tape and out super strong magnet catches at the bottom. We debated if the hinge should be at the top or bottom. Went with top. Figured it would be more secure while towing Jellybean #10

I didn’t notice the difference in the two pucks when I was looking at the Froli website, but looking at the picture you attached it’s pretty obvious. So now I assume that one puck is the magnet and the other is passive. If this is in fact the case, they definitely wouldn’t work on the entrance door without some additional mounting hardware. And you are absolutely right about the long term viability of the hardware in an outdoor environment unless it is fact geared toward a marine environment. Mossey

The front/right burner is almost as powerful as my 2008 smev front burner. The back throws a lot of btu. (Over 7000) My experience is, most people use the back burner seldom, and usually for simmer. And, that's what I'd do, especially if I were worried. The front burner gives plenty of btu for cooking/boiling water. I rarely use my back burner. Mostly for warming, or simmering. I can't say how much extra heat it throws to the fiberglass back wall. But, those who a actually have the cooktop may be able to tell us. It's a good question. Sherry

Not everyone experiences joy through total minimalism. And, that's ok. We all have different styles and goals.

No worries, you can just use 3m double sided tape. I did and it holds just fine. Just a dry run without the tape backing removed, match the magnet up with the door when you close it. Check for connectivity, mark the magnet location, then peel and stick the magnet in place. Done.

I understand the fear of ripping the retaining hook off of the hull and the Froli magnetic door holders are very nice looking as are all of their products. But I don’t see an application for it on the Ollie entrance door. I think the bathroom door hold you are using might be a better option because of the movement in the ball side. Without product measurements I’m just guessing. Is the magnet in the swivel ball or the fixed portion? Let us know what your thoughts are as you may be seeing things differently. Mossey

It should not occur. I don’t think it is a big deal if it does, but I would definitely be concerned and try to fix it. I have enough trouble sleeping with odd outside noises, I don’t need more generated at random inside the cabin.... John Davies Spokane WA

Could I ask what you use for a testing system? I'm thinking we'd like to do something similar on our property in North Carolina. We built a spring water collection system there a decade ago, but we still carry in drinking water. We only use the spring water for bathing and toilet flushing, etc. Glad you joined the forum. Froli is working very well and zamp solar is too! 3500 watt generator runs off propane and gas.

UV, yes. First through Katadyn silver impregnated ceramic. From streams and lakes. Testing throughout.

I'd never seen the Froli system, but it looks really interesting. Actually, looking at their website, they have a lot of products that interest me. I really like the magnetic door hold, which would be good for the bath door of course, but I'm thinking it might be a nice addition for the main door as well, if it will work with the curve of the hull. Both my wife and I tend to want to close the door while it's still latched open and I know I'm going to pull the clasp out of the hull one day. Their levelers look like a nice option for people like me who don't care for the Andersens. And their modular dish storage is pretty neat too.
