  1. Not sure who to give credit for this but love it. Simple, convenient mod.

  2. Some more recent pictures as things are progressing. Weather has delayed things a bit. They were starting to set trusses today.

  3. The Wildpeaks don't just look tough, they are tough. If anyone has the rare opportunity to plug one I want to hear about their wrists and forearms afterwards. No comparison between my old beloved Michelins and the Falkens. I think I have said this before but I thought I was going to have to get the drill out after battling to get the professional sized T-handle reamer through the tire. Finally, after a good bit of sweat with all 200 lbs of me jumping up and down and around the tire I got it through. I could plug a Michelin LTX A/T without taking it off the truck. Just sayin'. I guess I should clarify that was the Falken Wildpeak A/Ts that I was working on, not the H/Ts. But the same HD badging is on both. Although the Wildpeak A/T 35s on the Tundra have the added Duraspec, which is 3-ply sidewall construction. There is a reason they have a huge following in the overland crowd. Next set on the Tundra will be the R/Ts and I will have tried the whole Wildpeak line. I paid $764 for (4) H/Ts shipped off of eBay.

  4. Very pleased with the final outcome and usefulness of our dual Lagun tables; throughly field tested for durability and functionality. My wife adapted well to her own table after a few years of me ‘hogging’ the single original table. The fabricated components of the dynamic system developed remain to be powder coated ‘white’ to better blend in with the Oliver’s interior; perhaps next seasonal camping lull. A cup of Joe and dose of @Geronimo John’s ‘words of wisdom’ to start this day. Life is good!

  5. Greetings, In case anyone is wondering this is what we have found so far, we thoroughly cleaned both tanks with some Dawn dish liquid filling and letting each sit for a day then rinsing out good, we started at the top of the vent pipe outside and traced all the way down, nothing is loose or wet, there is good airflow all the way up the vent pipe, the drains don't smell all is good there there is nothing organic but what we think is the cause is lack of air circulation under the dinette benches and with the help of some Ozuim the smell is about 90% gone and rite now we have the bathroom for blowing out, bathroom door shut dinette benches open, windows open and the smell is all ending up in the bathroom so not knowing what is cause or effect for sure we are going to put in some vents and a fan or 2 in the dinette benches, it only smells on the driver's side even in the storage compartment in the back. It wont hurt to have more air circulating, the downside to not full timing I guess or maybe its not that and its wishful thinking. We do appreciate all of your comments we checked everything you all mentioned (no dead mouse) so thanks!!! NHBoomers

  6. I credited the idea to another Oliver owner (name unknown) in a response made to a post by @Wandering Sagebrush entitled ‘Inexpensive Helpful Modifications’, September 15, 2023, Ollie Modifications. This was one of ten mods I featured, some my own and others credited. May be worth another a look-see!

  7. Well, we’ve had many great week or weekend trips since getting our Ollie in Sep 2021 but we just returned home from our first two month traveling and fell in love with our Ollie all over again! What a wonderful way to go on adventures! Our first day was Wed April 10th and we arrived back this past Fri June 7th. Way too many photos to upload but will try to insert a few. Our stops included: 1) Keystone State Park, Sand Springs, OK - visiting family and grandkids. 2) Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Texas 3) Chupadero RV Park, San Antonio, NM. 4) Fool Hollow State Park, Show Low, AZ. 5) Lost Dutchman State Park, AZ. 6) White Tank Mountain Regional Park, AZ. 7) Dead Horse Ranch State Park, AZ. 8) Desert View Campground, South rim of Grand Canyon. 9) Mesa Verde RV Resort, CO. 10) Love’s RV Stop, Walsenburg, CO. 11) Historic Lake Scott State Park, KS. 12) Wilson State Park, KS. 13) Milford Lake State Park, KS. 14) Eisenhower State Park, KS. 15) Cracker Barrel, Independence, MO. 16) Dr Edmund A Babler Memorial State Park, Chesterfield, MO We set up camp, relaxed, looked at historical sites, biked, visited friends and relatives, and were wondering why we were ending it so soon. Our Ollie was a trooper through the mountains, we took Rte 60 through New Mexico and Arizona, and put some 3,800 miles on it during the two months. We stopped in Pie Town and of course bought an apple pie. We toured Sedona, Jerome, and rode the Verde Canyon Train. We camped on the edge of the Grand Canyon, toured through Mesa Verde, and even weathered tornado warnings in Kansas. Great trip! Wonderful memories made.

  8. I have been using this one for over a year. Used on bikes, motorcycles, lawn mower, Oliver, truck, and cars. It has been wonderful. 4 presets, put a quick chuck on it, hit start and done. Accuracy is better than most, especially on auto tires. Very portable and easy to use. Last a long time with extended time battery. https://a.co/d/fnRidVo https://locknlube.com/collections/air-tools/products/tire-inflator-adapter# https://locknlube.com/products/locknflate-locking-air-chuck If using with the Milwaukee you want OPEN option. $150 at Northerntool.com Quick chuck

  10. When we purchased a Victron shunt, the waterproof shunt was not available or I did not see it 😐, like the one JD1923 has. The Bluetooth range is OK while in Ollie and close to where the shunt is located when outside of Ollie, but the range is not good enough to read with smartphone while in the TV with Ollie in tow, at least with our shunt. You can see rate of discharge and other handy information like SOC on your smartphone, like JD1923 mentioned.

  11. I purchased this model, waterproof with sealed wiring: https://a.co/d/aEvZpg2 Wire to battery final ground. Download VictronConnect App to read battery SOC and +/- Amps.

  12. Summary: make sure your accumulator is not rubbing against the bottom of the curb side bunk. Check the cutouts above the rear jacks. Check the duct under the curb side bunk. I noticed black dust on the board that the water pump and accumulator are mounted to. Turns out that the pump, piping, accumulator, valve, etc. assembly doesn’t really fit together well but it is screwed to the board anyway. The misalignment between the pump and accumulator caused the rubber bushing in the mount on one side of the accumulator to become dislocated and the accumulator rubbed against the bottom surface of the curb side bunk. I caught it before it wore through. I also noticed that both cutouts to access the studs to manually operate the rear jacks don't line up with the studs and would have made it hard to manually operate the jacks. I’ll enlarge these later. Also the 2 bolts on the rear curb side jack could rub through the heater duct.

  13. Amazingly there is a high percentage of us that also do so, and drive our spouses nuts in the process! I love watching the craftsmanship that you and the team produce. It is absolutely amazing. GJ

  14. My 2020 OLEll had three blank breaker spots in the electrical panel. I installed a 30A breaker in said panel to power the forward exterior outlet, as well as an interior outlet at the rear dinette seat next to the panel. The interior outlet also has USB ports. Does this answer your question?

  18. Mine are definitely a tight fit, JD -- just shoved/wiggled the tanks until they yielded. Our problem is not getting the MOPEKA's to communicate with the Victron App... Does anyone have suggestions?

  24. Good news. Its not likely your batteries. Write down this a a 100% SOC with X amp draw. Then start powering up the individual fuses, letting things stabilize a minute or so and record the event's data. By having the fuse size, what it serves and the change in amp draw, we can all look at the data with you. Even if you run across a monster draw, continue the process for all fuses and circuit breakers with everything off. This will become a reference for many down the road for sure.

  25. The inverter breaker is under the street side bed, at the front (battery box wall). The sequence is as follows: Turn off solar. Trip the inverter breaker, then turn off your Lithium batteries. To turn back on reverse order. You don't want to put loads on the inverter by turning a battery off or on, one at a time with the inverter on. Again, 1. Turn off solar 2. Turn off inverter at breaker 3. Turn off batteries This information was provided by Oliver, and confirmed by Lithonics. Our winter storage needed a conversation with Lithonics.

  26. Wow, that's really nice! The processor and display: Would be really handy for the full timers and especially the Tech Inclined owners. Certainly can provide a great visual of what's happening in our various systems. But for me and Crazy Horse, we get by with my slide rule and his solar powered adding machine. I just don't think I would trust it for 8 or 9 months alone though. Especially with all that AI running amuck now days. Lord only knows where it would take Ollie off to up there in the High Country of Oklahoma. Oh wow, I'm back. Ok, seriously now, I would not at all be surprised that in the near future OTT will be looking for advice on making this great Victron suite an option on new OTT's. It is bound to happen. Meanwhile, we'll just poke along. Anybody have some slide rule wax? After 60 years it's getting a bit sticky. Numbers seem to be smaller than before too! Oh slipped back to the other side. Sorry about that! Great system for sure.

  27. Full Disclosure: Actually noticed these "Antlers" as a nice mod on @Patriot's rig in a post where he described his new front storage box made by SeabiscuitMetalDesigns.com... After installing our DC/DC charger which requires a substantial 1/0 Anderson connection and cables, our front hitch area seemed to be getting "crowded." The Moose Antler addresses the mess of cables, chains, clips, hooks, etc... They actually look like antlers - and do a great job in getting your hitch kit off the ground and tucked neatly and tidy under the A-frame: Moose Antlers.mov The PITA was removing the 7-Pin plug and the DC/DC Anderson connection to route the cables through the holes in the lower area of the antlers. The rack is made of approx. 3/16" powder coated T6061 Aluminum - no moving parts. If interested, you'll need to head to Home Dumbo for a U-bolt to fit the rack onto the hitch strut, $4.65. Simple design and efficient - we're liking it! Cheers! Moose Antlers.mov

  29. I find the Lagun most useful as a bed table, especially in the morning to accommodate an iPad and coffee while sitting up against the rear wall, as well as the evening in similar manner. I can also use it at the other end when watching TV. Of course the table serves other purposes, as you mention, and thus its’ versatility and usefulness justifies leaving it up full time. Currently in the process of mounting a second for the wife’s bed.

  30. Art, very nice! 😊 Our previous owner did something similar with two pieces of ply to fill the gap. Their wirehaired griffon slept under it, and they had a king size bed. We haven’t used that feature yet, but another benefit is with the cushions stacked next to the galley counter, and one of the ply segments on top, it makes a great extension to the counter top. Our Lagun table attaches mid way down the street side bunk (we have basement access), and stores out of the way in the closet.

  31. FYI: We made a table for the Lagun mount from some available red oak we had in the woodshop. The mount is centered on the nightstand. The underside of the table is "grooved" and can be fitted on the bed rails so our 55lb husky, Magnus, can curl up between us at night. It is serving us well so far - Magnus seems to like it too. The table and mount is stored/bungie-corded on the left side closet bulkhead. transitioning to the "dog-bed" mode above. View from below with table grooves on bed rails above. Table mode - can swing over either bed or centered in aisle for a secondary workstation....
