  1. I lucked out when installing the High Sierra shower head several years ago, happened to have a Kohler adapter that mated the stock hose to this upgraded handle. In ordering, don’t get too hung up on which flow restricter to choose (go high), the push button control valve can easily be used to reduce flow, as desired. The button is great for Navy showers, no more having to use the sink valve to regulate water flow and temperature; the button’s trickle feature keeps the water temp constant so no more waste of water having to reset, thus less volume in gray tank. As a sink faucet, I use the button to allow a reduced stream of water rather than full flow when the valve is opened, further saving water and tank volume. This product is a jewel of an upgrade, get one!

  2. It fits. Sort of two orientations it’ll drop into at different angles. For reference, the top is about 2” from the ceiling I have the optional wall mount because I have all the components to do the separate shower valve and new faucet. But I haven’t gotten around to doing that yet. The adapter is a temporary step to use the shower head until I start that project.

  3. A few pics of Arches and Canyonland NPs. This time of the year it is best to get your time entry permit for as early in the morning as possible. The temps with the extreme low humidity made it really comfortable on our hikes in both parks. Spectacular view and vistas for sure. Free entry with the America the Beautiful pass. 😊🇺🇸🇺🇸 The visitor center at Arches…we got there early. The parking lot was slammed when we departed and headed to Canyon Lands. 4. A follow-up to the above. I just called to return my adapter, and was told a new one is in the works for newer trailers, and should be ready by the end of the month. I’ll be getting one as soon as they ship.

  5. Claudia, let's get together and take a sniff in each other's trailers this weekend. We've been chasing a similar very faint odor, but I haven't gone to the extent that you have yet. I too regularly flush the black and gray tanks with the Calgon/Pine~Sol mix. I use a macerator pump at home, so take extra time and several fill/flush cycles of both. Still, there's that slight, lingering odor. I bought but haven't yet used a roll of the edge seal for the bathroom vanity. I'll bring it with me and we can see if there's enough length for both of us.

  6. September 10, 2024 Hello fellow Oliver Elite owners! I am letting everyone know that the Highsierra company has made a handheld bathroom faucet with adapter (chrome or brushed nickel) that fits the original Oliver hand held bathroom sink faucet plus hose and I LOVE this design! This way you no longer have to replace the whole faucet housing while looking great and you'll only need to replace the handheld part by screwing on the adapter to both the original hose (will only connect to the hose with the female threads) and Highsierra handheld shower head. Due to this handheld design and being metal not plastic, I noticed when I showered that my hot water lasted longer during cold weather and the force of the water was stronger than the original hand held. If interested, below is the link to the handheld faucet and you can call if you have any questions. I hope this helps! 7. We no longer put TP in the black tank; reduces waste volume, less water to flush toilet, and dumping the black tank is much easier and faster. Here’s a couple of ideas: Personal scented waste bags, disposed of as needed. These bags and dispenser are marketed for use in managing baby diapers when on the go and are inexpensive. Handy spray bottle for final bowl rinse, as needed. Amazing how much less water is required, thus further reducing black tank volume.

  12. Another "handy" pilot and I did a post mortum on the damaged Anderson connector. Basically we believe it was crushed. Since it is under the hitch, we both knew where and how it happenend. My truck is pretty much daily used to haul a over full load of paraglider pilots and gear up a steep sketchy mountain road. Since I fly down, I use a trusted driver to take the truck down the mountain in 4L, mostly gear 1 or 2 of ten on the transmission. There is a switchback that requires "jacking" the truck around. The angle of repose is such that the mounted Anderson 175 amp connector can be hit. One of the plastic guide pins on the TV side of the connector had failed on the way to Idaho. So I am somwhat suspect that it may be a knockoff. But the massive damage most likely was from the hillside when backing to get around a very tight "Y" in the fire road. PS: I used Powerwerk for purchase of three replacement shells and the environmental boot as suggested by RonBrink. Many thanks!

  13. That was exactly what I did. Used a light and mirror from within the forward dinette seat hatch to eyeball a prospective point of entry; care must be taken to avoid existing plumbing. Once identified, a 1/8” drill bit was used from outside taking care to only penetrate the hull thickness. Then another look from within to verify a clear path with no obstruction for a larger hole to run the cables.

  14. The Anderson Environmental Boot is the only way I know to ensure a waterproof/dust-proof connection with the SB Series products. Although a product-specific mount is not offered, I was able to improvise a secure thru-mount at my TV bumper. 1of2 mating boots required. Custom hanger bracket bent and welded to my specific application. The slight protrusion, as mounted, is of no hindrance. A familiar pic showing bumper-mounted boot.
