We have the access door to the basement, and we really like it. I even put it in myself! But the basement access door is a minor feature compared to the nightstand drawer! I think it would be foolish to buy Oliver’s lagun table option, as currently configured. With the lagun table in place, you can’t open the nightstand drawer! I hope Oliver will adopt Overland’s excellent design for factory installations of lagun tables, because it is a better solution!2 points

It is harder to reach stuff in that part of the storage compartment without an inside access door. It’s a very long reach from the outside, street-side opening; many owners use one or two milk crates for their smaller items and tie a rope onto them, to pull them out easily. An inside door is handy but in no way mandatory. I don’t have one. OTH if you often camp in a wet climate, you could access stuff without having to go out into the foul weather. I just bought and received the exact same lock and puck, just need a trailer to put it on. We pick up #596 March 5th.1 point

Sure! It is inline and seems to be great engineering. It is expensive initially but really grabs the small stuff in water that makes us sick.... I don't normally use these in the field as the 3 point jack system works very well for stabilization along with the X-Chocks. Since we have several visitors a month to our Oliver, I began using these Eaz-Lift Screw jacks on the front frame to help with movement while 4 people are crammed in and walking around our Oliver EII. They work well... I've added them to the Amazon list we've created for all of the Oliver Outfitters in the forum: Link here: Oliver Trailer Outfitters List on Amazon Craig & Rose Hull 505 -Galway Girl1 point

jo79RI - Yes, new Olivers come with a "stinky slinky" that attaches to the Oliver and then the other end is placed in the sewer opening. However, while the new Oliver also comes with a drinking water hose, it is NOT what you want to use for rinsing your black tank! My recommendation is that you purchase a length of garden hose that is NOT white (I've got a grey one but virtually any color other than white is OK so that you don't accidently mix up your drinking water hose with the one you use for your black tank). There are plenty of YouTube videos on this subject and it really isn't any big deal. Bill1 point

Once we pick up our Oliver, one of the first improvements will be this table mount. Following is a good price for the complete table mounting system, in case someone else is thinking about this mod. Now $138, was $235. https://www.rv-table-mount.com/shop This product excludes the table top. Thanks for the great idea and instructions.1 point

As others have stated, the new design with the smaller single mount is just not going to handle much weight, 100lbs sounds about right. I prefer the original rack mounting scheme Oliver offered. The current one has a similar frame mounting attachments which are quite sturdy. It would not take a lot of effort to fabricate a stronger mounting platform similar to the old system. I have a tandem Thule attached to the one on my Oliver. It is very sturdy, and I am confident it will handle up to 150Lbs with no issues.1 point

Keep in mind the water hose and filter are not protected from over pressure, but I honestly don’t care much about that. This does get the entire unit out of the way and well off the ground, with the bumper either lowered or raised. The short spring reinforced hose section came with the Camco filter. It is not needed but provides a little flexibility and also takes some strain off the port in the side of the trailer. You could put the filter after the regualtor, to protect it, but I prefer to filter out any sediment before it reaches the regulator, which only has a coarse screen. There are definitely better filters out there! But they do the job, the refill 2-Packs for these are about $30 and you can get them from Amazon or any Walmart store. ... https://www.amazon.com/Camco-TastePURE-Flexible-Protector-40043/dp/B0006IX87S John Davies Spokane WA1 point

The trailer plumbing is always safe with the regulator I showed above; the gage remains at your set point regardless of whether or not water is moving through the hose. From that you can see that the trailer side is always protected, or the gage would spike to the higher reading when you turned off the flow. If you ever see that happen, it means your unit is bad. Which can happen. John Davies Spokane WA1 point
