JD, My bike weighs in at 34 lbs. and Krunch’s is 33 lbs. so we are good weight wise. And I have not seen any evidence of stress or fatigue. I don’t think removing the stinger changes the capacity because the BikeWing has the same 80 lb. capacity as the Jack-It does and it doesn’t have the angled stinger. I removed it for increased clearance over the propane tank cover. And since my Ollie is named the "the dog house”, I can’t call the propane cover the doghouse. Sure my dog house has some scratches, but not from the bikes or rack. Russell, Thanks for the kind words! Do I have to stop by that little farm in Tennessee for some of that sourdough bread or are you going to be baking at the rally. And speaking of doghouse's, how is Harley doing? Mossey

I mounted the tower in the stock Oliver tray so it it centered on the trailer instead of offset like the jack. There is a 1/4" stainless steel plate below the trailer A-Frame that the 4 bolts pass through, clamping the PowerTower and storage tray together. And to make a long story longer, this is the 3rd bike rack I have put on the Ollie. The first 2 attempts used bike racks I already owned. One was mounted on the back and interfered with opening the rear bumper and the second utilized Thule wheel trays mounted to the front cargo tray. I was searching for a used Jack-it rack during these experiments and finally found one at a price that allowed me to fearlessly modify it. As you can see from the rust in the picture, the tower was mounted under a jack by the previous owner. I eliminated the Bike Wing Stinger and drilled a new hole 90° from original to mount the Y - Shaped Base. I had to drill from both sides because I didn’t have a 90° drill attachment at that time. Now the bikes sit directly above the PowerTower. After nearly 4000 miles, I can say that it works well. If you have any questions or need more pictures, just let me know. Mossemi

Here is a picture of both fans for reference. The white Caframo fan is 12v and cost $99. The black Lemoistar fan is 5v USB and cost $16. Each fan has a different purpose for me. The Caframo is generally used for cooling or air movement. The Lemoistar replaced the fan below which topgun2 gave me to help reduce false alarms from the Atwood propane/CO sensor under the dinette table. The USB flexible stick fan lasted about 2 weeks for me. So I ordered a 3 pack from Amazon, sent one to topgun2 to replace his. And my new one last 3 weeks. Then I ordered the Lemoistar for mounting on the wall under the table. And it works well for the intended purpose. I ultimately replaced the Atwood sensor which solved the false alarm issue. So we now use the Lemoistar where ever needed. But we never travel with either fan mounted or unsecured. Mossey

I actually bought that fitting for my Coleman Suitcase grill I have had for about 20 years. It didn’t fit, so I bought the Blackstone 17" griddle that it does fit. That’s putting the cart before the horse. And now you know the rest of the story. I do believe there are multiple regulator fitting sizes for 1 lb. gas bottles. But of course I was trying to retrofit something I bought before Amazon. Mossey

The fitting referred to in the posting above is specifically listed for use with the Blackstone griddle. I don’t know if it would work with a Blue Rhino Razor griddle or not. You could order it and try it and return it if it didn’t fit your griddle. You might call Blue Rhino support and see if they have any suggestions for connecting the griddle directly to the 1/4" quick connection on the trailer. Let them know that you want to use the LP regulator on the trailer and bypass the griddle regulator. This is the adapter you asked about. Mossey

Nan, I know it doesn’t make much difference, but TST is located in Cumming, GA. And it is always good to support your neighbor’s and also benefit from all of the other positive features others have already mentioned. Mossey

Thanks for the update and I’m glad that issue is settled. Happy camping! Mossey

Weather stripping around the windows
mossemi replied to Foy_Mirna's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
I have to admit that the Magic Eraser is a tool I always forget about. A window installer was using one and when I asked about, he gave it to me after he finished his work. Mossey -

Weather stripping around the windows

But unlike a Valentines Day dinner and drinks, I will still use it next week and the next. In fact, mine has been in use for about 11 months. So it works out to about $0.29 a day so far. And my back window came from the factory with black molding that still looks great after nearly 3 years. Which means my $100 investment is just like my 401K, it’s going down every day. At the end of the day, each of us buys something for our Oliver hobby that other Ollie owners might think is a waste of money. Mossey -

JD, As someone that lives in a tropical climate and does not have a hanger to park "the dog house" in, replacing the outside window gasket may be the best $100 I ever spent. Not only does my trailer look better it also saves me time and although I am retired, my time still has value. I would rather do a more interesting mod on the trailer. And remember, we worry about mold and mildew year round in Florida instead of salt on the highway. Mossey -

Non-liquid water treatment for RV tanks?
mossemi replied to John E Davies's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
A word of caution about liquid chlorine from the pool stores. It is usually in the 8 to 10% concentration of chlorine. Where as Clorox is actually sodium hypochlorite with a concentration of 6%. So pool chlorine is stronger, but cheaper. Use it with caution. Mossey -
Non-liquid water treatment for RV tanks?
mossemi replied to John E Davies's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
I get my chlorine at the pool store. I have also used Purogene with good results. There is an old post recommending a water treatment company that supported RV's that sold Purogene. Searching turns up several posts. Mossey -
ahattar, I am quick to defend the Oliver company because of my experience with them has been extremely positive. Yep, I had a leak from the curb side window and I had one of my lead acid batteries go bad but that is the extent of my problems. And after troubleshooting both issues I found that the common denominator was me, the lazy one. I neglected the widow tracks and allowed the weep slots to become clogged and after a 5" rainfall in 24 hours, there was an overflow into the interior. The battery issue was also a lack of maintenance. And I once bought a mid-seventies AMF Super Glide that was a real prize, but that didn’t stop me from buying a 1980 Tour Glide and a 1996 Road King. I still own a 2000 Road Glide. But I did drive past a HD dealer 3 miles into a 25 mile trip to a dealer that did appreciate my business, but that was my choice. So yes, I am an OTT fan boy, but I also bought into your sales tactics 4 times over a 25 years, so I guess I am a HD fan boy as well. Maybe I should have drank the Kool-Aid Big Red was serving, "where you meet the nicest people". Or maybe I’m just stupid. I’ll leave that for others to judge, not that I give a hoot. And this is my favorite t-shirt these days. Thanks to all for allowing me some of your time, Mossey

How to Repair Outside Courtesy Light
mossemi replied to MandD's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
This looks like my lights and at $15, your not going to go broke ordering a pair. You might also call the service department for a replacement. Mossey https://www.pactrademarine.com/courtesy-lights-c-47_29/2-pcs-led-rv-trailer-white-oblong-courtesy-light-p-1588.html -
routlaw, Your mention of Swiftcurrent, reminded me of my favorite hike in that area which took us to the Ptarmigan Tunnel. Tried that hike again years later, but the trail was closed do to a moose kill, so we had to try a new hike and went up to the Swiftcurrent Fire Lookout. Thank you for the memories. Mossey

The Oliver Travel Trailer family has once again demonstrated their commitment to all OTT customers by increasing the knowledge base available to not only today’s owners, but tomorrow’s as well through their YouTube channel. I wonder how many RV manufacturers would post a YouTube video discussing the possibility of their RV's leaking! And then providing guidance to prevent and or correct such an issue. Wow, it’s refreshing to spot a bit of frankness in the world today. Thank you Oliver Travel Trailers! Mossey

David, In a previous post bhncb stated: To which Overland stated: We have the same aerator on our kitchen sink, and haven't had a problem. But that might be because we have the truma comfort plus model with the water circulator. So I'm curious now if anyone with the regular truma has tried this aerator and if it works for them. And that is the question I tried to answer, so I apologize if my answer was not clear. So in an effort to clear up my statement, the short answer is yes. Mossey

I put a Mikado Uno .35 GPM in the stock Dura bathroom faucet/shower head and it triggers the Truma AquaGo Comfort in either the faucet or shower mode. I suppose you could always fool the Truma in the shower mode and switch back the the faucet mode if needed, but that would defeat the water saving feature of the .35 GPM aerator or use the .5 GPM version instead.
